If all sailors thought the same!!!! There would be very few of you!!! All sailors have system failures, but everyone is different! Personally, I had problems with the overflow!!!
Brent8919
The well-known brand has slightly different figures in terms of quantity. It's like buying a Maybach that breaks down after the first 1000 km and saying that vases also break – just look at their service.
Matthew
What can I say now. After one problem or another, all the craftsmen love to talk about it, (if only this or that).
Robert1845
In that case, let's talk not after, but BEFORE the next problem... As is known, seawater is a very good conductor of electricity. The use of devices with a voltage of 220 volts in such a system requires special protective measures against electric shock. If, while installing the system, you neglected the recommendations in the aquacomputer manual regarding the installation of RCDs (residual current devices, differential automatics), I strongly recommend doing this. I did not see it in your equipment. By paying a couple of hundred now, you will save much more in the future.
Collin
What is a residual current device?
Linda
Residual current device. It helps save lives in case of a short circuit. This is a differential circuit breaker, installed at the entrance of the aquarium's entire power supply, and it disconnects electricity if it detects a leak "bypassing the wires."
John3335
It is indeed a differential relay with an automatic circuit breaker. At the input of the current to all power systems. This is the protective device that was mentioned in the post... Sorry, I just didn't specify it clearly...
Kevin262
Ah, so these circuit breakers are in my electrical panel.
Rodney7316
The circuit breakers in the panel do little to help with anything. They are more about protecting the network from you rather than the other way around. Their main task is to limit the power consumption of your entire apartment to around ten kilowatts to avoid overloading the network (overheating, phase imbalance...).
Christina9947
Sanyok, let's see more photos :)
Stuart
In the coming days, I will try to take some photos.

Two sides - two opinions. You both defend your "honor." My opinion on the "computer" is that if there is a software failure, it should occur for everyone who has that version of the software installed. As a programmer, I always ask people to describe what they were doing and which modes they activated, so I can reproduce a similar situation as accurately as possible. The timer itself may be working fine, but if an additional program is launched, a failure occurs.
Melinda
The software version of these devices is the same (the second device was sent before the first was received). As for the review from "Sanyka" in the previous post about the second AD905: "If this controller has been working flawlessly for 2 months without any failures, how could I call it defective? It's a great thing!" Thank you for the opinion of the professional (SAE74) and of course "Sanyka"!
Christopher
Indeed, what a fuss, but I have no glitches and won't have any, as I don't have that smart thing of yours. Don't complicate life for yourself and your reef.
Jacqueline6670
So how do you control the KR and temperature?
Andrea6761
Well, I take care of it, and everything is fine, two aquariums and softness, and SPS may not be that cool yet, but everything has its time.
Elijah7048
Somewhere it was said, "never say never." The "control module" in your aquarium's life support system (the person) has failed - a business trip, drinking, forgetting, "neglecting," etc. (of course, "God forbid!") and the consequences will be quite dire. How many aquariums have been lost due to negligence and ignorance, not reading the instructions. This is definitely something no one talks about.
P.S. Don't think that I wish this upon you - "God forbid."
May your aquarium "thrive" and bring joy to you and those around you.
Sincerely, Oleg.
Barbara8192
Dear Oleg, I have not interfered with you or your business, and I have not fixated on a specific device; I do not need them. Please understand that you are not the one to teach me or give me advice on how to maintain the reef. I live in it, and it is my life, and somehow we will figure it out ourselves with our hands, feet, and minds, alright? We are cave people, wild, stubborn, and we love our seas, treating them like infants. I find it amusing how someone said to dance in front of the reef. No offense. Best regards.
Ryan7682
I wrote down what I heard from him six months ago, as they say, "you get what you pay for." I won't chase after him on purpose; if I run into him, I'll definitely ask what exact model it was and if it's available now, but I haven't asked him where he bought them or from whom, as I don't need that information at all. He is a busy person, often traveling, and dealing with things himself is complicated and not to his liking, which is why he uses all sorts of "smart" technology. I wouldn't be surprised if he has already found something that cleans the windows and changes the water, admiring the reef in his place instead of doing it himself. After all, it's progress.
Laura7633
I liked the jokes about the Bakarius Institute))))
Randy
Respect to the sellers for changing the ballast without a word, in a regular store, it's hard to imagine such a thing... they would have sent it back immediately... so the truth is somewhere in the middle, as well as where these devices were used is a big question...
Mitchell7972
Do you mean that Sanya bought an expensive toy for himself but, not having learned how to use it, ruined his aquarium?... or in general, the testing of these devices regarding their reliability and professional suitability is not complete?))))))))
Thomas1044
Oh, these wonderful, fairy-tale lips! To not see them, to not hear them...
Sarah5423
We all know someone who heard somewhere that someone saw how a woman at the market said she heard...
Heather
I really respect Sanka and, in my own way, envy his "handiness." I read about this aquarium on two or three forums; he definitely adjusted the system to fit his aquarium and tested it in various ways... he even integrated the device into a new case (I, on the other hand, just bought it, plugged it in, and set the timer at most)... but that's not what I meant... I just haven't personally encountered a seller who changes the product at the first call, without even having received the return (maybe I just haven't been lucky)... usually, they send you to that very expertise; it's a pity the name doesn't consist of three letters, otherwise, logic wouldn't suffer... however, I'm repeating myself; I was just responding to the comment...
Dawn6148
I see.. so there is a suspicion that the sellers are aware of these potential issues and as soon as they sense them, they immediately go for a replacement to avoid escalating the conflict...? I'm not making any claims, just analyzing the situation (for myself))) I'm also curious about a simple, mundane question: what makes up the price of 350 bucks? Almost three grand... is it real? Or is it just a hot spoon for a hot meal?))))
Stacey4437
Let's talk only about specific facts; gossip and speculation are not very good. If something is broken, please write in detail.
From my experience, we have installed about a dozen of these, and there have been no problems. If there are any, I am 100% sure they will be resolved very promptly; you don't often encounter that these days.
Karen
Indeed, many do not see or hear, and how many remain silent about their failures.
Debbie3587
Gossip and speculation are very bad!!!
Unfortunately, very few people write about breakdowns and low-quality products from our manufacturers, but almost everyone has encountered this. The problem can certainly be addressed, and it should be, but the consequences of breakdowns can be very unfortunate...
I suggest that the moderators move the discussion to another section; I think this topic will be very useful to many...
Diana7891
The price is more than reasonable!! Compare the price with the Aquamedic pH computer.... Now compare the capabilities of the devices. The price of the device is entirely dictated by market laws and is absolutely competitive.
Katie3017
It's clear, if you compare it with similar hardware... But what if we compare it to an ordinary (new) laptop - 3600, and yours (even with quite decent specifications) - does the laptop really have as many parameters as the AD?
Amber6362
This is already a question of global injustice. For example, a good flash costs about $300-400, while an underwater photography flash costs around $1500. It consists of the same components, even simpler. But why $1500? - there are no alternatives! Vortech 40 costs $450, and Sansanich is $450, but for some reason, I want to put a Vortech in the aquarium. Why? - there are no similar alternatives in terms of specifications! And so on.
Jeremy3637
I visited the "Aquadizain" website and really liked the intro. I have a question - is there any plan for a simplified version of the computer? Something like pH, conductivity, TDS meter, and other parameters, meaning it wouldn't control anything but just display information on the screen.
Charles5941
Comparing it to a laptop is quite incorrect. Let's not talk about the specifications. The main difference between them is in the production scale. Laptops are produced in hundreds of thousands using automated equipment, resulting in a very low cost. The share of non-manufacturing expenses in the product price is also small. The aquacomputer, on the other hand, is a unique product, which is reflected in its price.
Nancy
Auto refill, auto feeder, aqua computer, auto doser, light timers, electronic devices. Undoubtedly. However, from this incomplete list, there are only timers—and those are mechanical... But without unnecessary headaches and Sanykov's problems. Life in the aquarium goes on as usual. And it will continue to do so... The best is the sworn enemy of the good... yet it pulls you in like a magnet...
Jeffrey2277
The meaning is clear... I'm talking about hand washing. And it probably is more convenient for you. I had an old aquarium for almost two years with automatic topping and a timer... I forgot a little, got delayed, got caught up, etc. Now I calmly do my own things, walk by, see the light glowing, check the temperature, TDS is at zero, the light gradually brightens... the water has topped up... it's wonderful! And in the free time I have, I’d rather sit by the aquarium and enjoy the view!
Mario
Almost all bourgeois systems are sensitive to power supply. They just don't understand our tolerances of 220V ± 40%. Since the load on the power grid decreases at night (which can lead to voltage instability), most failures occur at night. Additionally, all major reconnections (repairs of the power grid) usually take place at night. So, in the morning, there are problems.
Andrea6761
Here we are, writing about them, the vile ones...
Natasha
Lya = LYA Tolik and the left ones are absolutely. They didn't take anything - we're not trading). Regarding this eatery. I called some Oleg AD, or maybe it wasn't him - in short, it's hard to find the end, they don't introduce themselves - the one who picks up the phone in Kharkiv, the city of my dreams, turned out to be a big jerk from Kharkiv. I really wanted to come visit him and bark at him. It costs that much - a 2-year warranty. That's what they told me. In reality, if Stas's controller barks, then he'll get it replaced. As for the others, through Bakarius. ))))
Melissa2062
There is a part of the routine work/care that the aquarist needs to handle themselves... And there is a part that can be entrusted to aquarium controllers. What's wrong with having a device do the routine work for you? It's clear that a controller won't replace hands, but it can help! Just don't trust it with things that could kill the aquarium, and any failure can then be managed. It might not be manageable... But pumps can jam, lights can go out, etc. You can also do without pump currents—just stir the water by hand. Then everything will definitely be under control.
Anna9752
Damn, this forum controller messed up my aquarium! Yesterday I cleaned the filter and turned off the taps on the hoses. Today I got home late and saw that the filter wasn't working. What were the developers thinking, why didn't it warn me with a signal that I forgot to open the taps, and all the beneficial bacteria died in the filter.
P.S. All of this is fine, but the filter didn't work all day, I'm such a fool.
Nancy
When are the funerals?... I will come to honor the memory of the faithlessly departed nitrofixators.... Are you going to bury them in the filter?)))
James5032
Do you even understand what you just said? Come over. Just make sure you don't get too "barky."
Pamela
,it's not about whether they took it or not. They took some things. For themselves and for the staff. In 49p, there was even talk about some of the things they took...

And who messed up themselves? Sanya? I don't think he messed up! If there were statistics on how many failures were not the owner's fault, it would be interesting. If there is a 100% guarantee that it won't fail, then of course it's a very convenient thing, but if there's even a 2% chance that the device could fail, I wouldn't even put it on a quarantine tank.
Sharon
Everything in this life fails, and we have to come to terms with it and move on. For this, a special term was invented: "force majeure."
Jacob4800
The cost of this list will be twice the price of the Kharkiv computer plus two wagons of wires, plugs, power supplies... in the cabinet, and in case of any breakdown, no one will repair or replace it for you. Maybe it's better to buy two Kharkiv ones for peace of mind.
Cindy
I am, by the nature of my business, a dealer for the Kharkiv company "Suzirya" - the official supplier of Aquamedica products... I think we will sort out the warranty issue without any major problems. There have been precedents that were resolved successfully! As for the wires and plugs... hmm... well, with the size of the SAMP space being 1800x600x1000 (the internal dimensions of the cabinet), I can fit in there myself alongside the installed equipment. The only downside is the price. Here, of course, arguing is pointless. But the reliability is higher!
Jennifer5371
Electronic ballasts for metal halide lamps
150 W $55.0/pc
175 W $70.0/pc
250 W $85.0/pc
400 W $180.0/pc
Can I ask why the price difference between 400 and 250 is so significant?
Andrew7823
Oh, clueless. There’s more metal there.
Michael3221
I don't even know what to say... I can certainly share my thoughts, but this isn't the right topic. Message me privately or call me. I'll respond to you. What has intrigued you so much?
Jeffrey6189
I want to install an RCD only for the aquarium, and only with the function of "so that I don't get shocked." There's no need to turn off the entire network.
For example, I'm working in the algae tank in the sump, and I accidentally lean my foot against the heating radiator.
I found something like this at Leroy Merlin: (photo). What do you recommend? And where can I buy the RCDs mentioned earlier in this thread?
Also, they recommend taking 30mA. But what about 10mA - would that be even better? Or would it trip "even if someone sneezes nearby"?
Sheila
Take at least 16A, and better brands like GE, ABB.
Michael
What does this have to do with it? It's about something else.
Here is a description of my aquarium.
I use a differential relay ABB 16/0.01A.
It's not worth saving here; personal and loved ones' health is more important.
10M.A. (marine aquarium) is used in humid environments; at this current, there are no effects on the body. It won't trigger by itself, but if it has, look for holes in the insulation.
Laura7633
How to "install" it into... the socket or near it...
And one more question from an experienced electrician - what are those circuit breakers in the cabinets for? Is it to avoid the hassle of unplugging the socket? Or is it for cooling fans in the cabinet?
But then you still need to cut the wire, connect it, and insulate it...
Again, there’s a higher chance of moisture reaching them.
Michelle1662
I'm referring to how much equipment will be connected to it, how many MG lamps, as they have a high inrush current, so to prevent it from tripping, I wrote with a margin.
Jessica9188
a relay for DIN rail + sockets
Matthew
I have a question here - has anyone used Wave Sur pump controllers or can one manage with timers? If you have used them, what are your impressions?
Alexander
I bought one of these.
I tested it with a rectangular box and two Chinese pumps.
Pretty good.
Pros:
- can connect any pumps
- has a feeding mode (repeats daily)
- has a night mode (one of the two channels works, can also turn on by itself daily)
The only downside I noticed is that when the power goes out, it switches to night mode, so it goes through the "night" cycle and then returns to normal operation. Since the power often goes out, I'm currently considering whether to keep the device for myself.
You can't do that with timers; you'd have to solder the circuit yourself.
Lisa
People, who measures with what devices? Please leave feedback about your instruments.
Dennis
Of course, with TDS meters, what else?
Tracy
I thought it was a pH meter. Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience, I found the answer to my question myself.
