The article is nonsensical and does not reflect reality. This stuff cannot replace a protein skimmer. Miracle mud should only be considered as a good substrate for caulerpa and mangroves. I have a mangrove tank running on this substrate. The mangroves like it and grow like crazy. However, if the mangrove tank is disconnected from the main system, hair algae starts to grow, meaning the system cannot maintain itself in the balance I need. You can read about the mangrove tank on this substrate in my thread.

In my opinion, the theory of using Miracle Mud technology is nothing more than an obsession that will die without being adopted by marine aquarists. Aside from its benefits in a mangrove setup, where it can truly show its potential, it has no prospects. No matter how wonderful properties the mud is attributed with, if there is no effective mechanism for its neutralization, it will remain just mud, with all the consequences that follow.

Could you please advise which brand of skimmer can be purchased for a 190-liter aquarium?

Chelsea

Anyone but Chinese. You can save a bit and get a pen from our local craftsmen. I have a pen from "Alexloga" - I'm 100% satisfied. But it's not even a handmade item anymore - it's a genuine mass-produced product of factory quality.

Antonio

I understand that the Chinese can also be refined?

Jerry

It is possible, but for that, you need to throw away the original Chinese pump and install a proper one. We sum it up and realize that we have already paid as much as a decent pen would cost.

Tracey

I will allow myself to disagree. JEBO182I will be suitable without replacing the original pump.

Noah1632

What is it suitable for????

Stephanie4990

For a 190L aquarium.
