resins...

Andrea8397

Resins are understandable, but I doubt that the resins will lower the readings by 14 units.

Dawn6148

and will reduce even more... there are cases where only resins are used, without osmosis...

Katherine

Reduce it to 0! Change the pre-filter and membrane, TDS at the output is 0.07 from the osmosis - it needs to be changed already. I have one resin that outputs water to 0 with 223 units through a meter of resin, but the resin gets heavily clogged.

Laurie3842

I initially had a cartridge with resin, and after about four months, I bought a TDS meter. The readings at the input and output are the same.

Christopher3770

I checked it 3 minutes ago... the osmosis shows 17 units, it has 2 resins and the output is 0.

Danielle8118

These are the readings after installing new pre-filters, the membrane has been in use for six months. I have 450 units before the osmosis, could this be the reason?

Amy9618

What kind of resins are there?

Maria

we have such

Leonard

Oh, what bad water you have coming from the tap. You will need to change the cartridges more often!

Jennifer7578

450 is not a small number... perhaps it is worth increasing the pressure in the osmosis.

Tracy4603

I just ordered one like that today. Does it come in a flask or not?

Joshua9340

It comes with a cartridge, a bulb if needed + 150. (with a bracket) It's better to place it between the storage tank and the membrane outlet.

Aaron580

I have ion exchange resins (for water softening) and salt for their regeneration on the common system, and then there is reverse osmosis; I don't know why the readings are like that.

Michelle9986

Thank you, there is a flask.

Patricia1746

I have ion exchange resins (for water softening) and salt for their regeneration in the common system - that's the answer! The resins are sodium-based! And the salt! They just beautifully dissolve in the water - that's why the TDS fluctuates!

Jesse

What pressure is applied for osmosis? Can't you measure it?

Deborah2682

I can't say for sure right now, but I have a pumping station, so I think the pressure is sufficient.

Bethany

And what is the solution to the problem?

Jennifer5371

The pressure is sufficient, but the operation of the osmosis differs from 3 to 4.5 atmospheres. At the same time, I agree that the resins should work and purify the water to 0. Moreover, the indicators from osmosis are not critical.

Devon107

Let's give it a try.

Alicia5489

Our water: before osmosis 400-600, after osmosis 40-60, after DI resins 0-2 (depends on the time of year). So it will be easy to reduce...

Angel628

Elementary silicon (the basis of diatomaceous algae) is a typical indirect bandgap semiconductor... There is a lot of information, but how to deal with it?

Amber9312

resin -2, or better 3 cartridges, after osmosis silicon and remove

Jenny

Installed osmosis. Water parameters: - before osmosis, TDS from Aquamedica shows 850-1000 - after osmosis 14-20 - after 2 DI cartridges, hardness 0.00

Joseph9203

But we haven't tried calibrating the TDS.

Christopher1774

Have you tried it?

Reginald5073

What is the problem with the calibration?

Maria

I did. There are solutions for TDS calibration.

Tasha

Can you provide more details? What solutions, how to calibrate?

William5838

Let's start with who has what TDS meters. If there is a tee after the reverse osmosis, then there are 2 options. 1. Dissolve 1g of rock salt in 1 liter of water, open the tee, and pour 1ml of this solution into the electrodes, then close the tee back and press calibration. Everyone has their own case. 2. There is a ready-made solution in Kharkiv at Aquastudio, which makes aquacomputers, a great thing for a small price.

Daniel4967

I liked this! I will make the solution myself)))))

Gregory

The easiest way is to buy a decent TDS meter and forget about it.

Yvette209

One thing is that you buy an electronic TDS in the form of an electronic thermometer (like here:), another thing is that you buy a probe with electrodes and connect it to a computer; calibration is essential. You can buy 10 of them, and they may not show "000" like the controller here: or here:

Kellie

Denis, what is a normal one and which one do you use?

Christopher8654

Single-use calibration fluids in sachets are here in Accessories Calibration is essential. However, they are not automatic; the sachet needs to be opened.

Stacy6866

Could you please let me know if it is possible to use a 0.9% sodium chloride solution from a pharmacy as a calibration solution? Thank you in advance!

Brian6895

A small clarification. 1g of salt per 1 liter of osmosis water. Mix thoroughly. Then take 500ml of this solution and add 500ml of osmosis water. This will be a 500ppm solution.

Brian

There are special deionizing resins. They have the prefix NDL at the end of their name. They remove silicon. Regular deionizing resin is yellow-golden in color. The one that removes silicon is black with a slight inclusion of yellow-golden color. Here is a photo.
