There have been and are in operation Iwaki pumps of various models.
I also tried to start a powerful Dolphin with a capacity of 25,000 liters, but I never put it into operation.
These are quite noisy pumps for use in an apartment; in a private house in the basement, it's not an issue.
They are very reliable and easy to install.
Moreover, Iwaki and Dolphin are the most decent pumps among those mentioned above; Barracudas and Pans are much noisier and less reliable, but this is based on reviews from foreign websites.

I looked at many foreign websites, and most aquariums are equipped with external pumps (feeding and pushing the Becket nozzle) with air cooling - the overheating problem is almost solved!

I will add to what has already been said about the noise of Reeflo. Reeflo has now released a new model called Snapper. They are very proud that the noise level is 54 dB (as stated by the manufacturer). I think this is a clear reference point for the noise level you may encounter. In the photo, there are no European manufacturers such as ATK and TROP ELECTRONIC. For example, ATK is available at Egis (see the forum). He is satisfied. TROP ELECTRONIC is present in the aquarium store. I asked them - there are no complaints. TROP ELECTRONIC is particularly interesting because it is also available in a three-phase version for 220. That is, by connecting a frequency converter (of which there are a huge number), it can be controlled.

What does the Beckett nozzle refer to? Is it the eductor at the outlet or what?
Laurie3842
Yes, it is common for them, with a huge selection of inexpensive pumps, and many live in individual houses. For example, in your photo, there is a pumping station in the basement, and powerful pumps pump water up, resulting in water movement without noise.

European pumps are already priced in a European way.

Hello
I have a question for you about this.. Grundfos is good, no doubt, but it heats the water. Have you ever wondered what ATK and TROP make their pumps from? Because for you right now, as I understand, a snail is not a problem.

Here are Beket and Mazzei.

I didn't notice that Grundtec heated the water much, but that's a separate topic. As for ATK and TROP, I haven't looked into them, but most likely they are also some industrial pumps, of which there are a huge number, slightly modified for marine aquaristics.

Can you see photos of these pumps from ATK and TROP?

As I understand it, the highest quality pumps are IWAKI!? And all the others are a compromise!?

28,
ahhhh... so you are talking about skimmers... I just thought you were interested in currents.
P.S. sometimes high-pressure pumps are used not only for skimmers but also for currents (see the picture).

I understand that these are modified industrial pumps. That's why I asked. I would like to have a solution to the "European cost" problem not only with Deltak. An alternative to Grundfos would be welcome. Under otherwise equal conditions, I would choose a pump with air cooling.
