The pump is weak, it can pull air up to 100 liters; with such a size of the foam generator, the pump needs to be modified.

The main and undeniable advantage of the new Chinese skimmers is the price. However, the pump definitely needs to be changed (I shudder at the memory of my pump in the Reef Octopus calcium reactor). If the pump is replaced, it will be a decent, inexpensive skimmer for 250-400 liters.

In the first photo with the foam gun, there is an octopus pump, and in the second one, the atman is already presented.

The pump works reliably well and does not need to be replaced. It draws in enough air for the volume of the foam maker.
In the first photo, the pump is Aquabi (Deltec), the price is listed for Atman, but it can also be equipped with Aquabi.

The Aquabee 2000 pump, as claimed by the manufacturer, draws 450 liters of air per hour, while the Atman PH 2500 draws 60-80 liters of air per hour.

Stas, you are contradicting yourself. If the pump needs to be replaced, it is unlikely to be inexpensive. And with an intake of 100 liters/hour of air, it should be replaced without hesitation.

specially for you and in this case, there is more foam than the pump provides, it won't fit, and the pump doesn't need to be heated!!! I think we won't return to this issue.

Are you trying to say that the working water level of this skimmer is around the red line???? Judging by the video, that's far from the case......to put it mildly.

I have a homemade skimmer with parameters similar to your Bubble Magus BM, equipped with a modified Atman PH 2500 pump, which has much higher performance, almost like the Aquabee 2000 pump. This skimmer will work well if paired with a Deltec, but with the Atman, it's completely useless.

In this case, and provided that they are equipped with German pumps (specifically the ones shown on the official website), these are quite good products. I have seen them in person, and they definitely justify their price.

I have complaints mainly about the Chinese pump, as I have been struggling with them for a long time. If you put an Aquabee on the pipe, the skimmer will work well for a 100-200 liter aquarium with a limited number of fish.

If you set up an aquarium with Deltec needles and the corresponding injector, it will be practically a Deltec APF 600. And when it comes to 100-200 liters, we can confidently talk about 300-700 liters; I won't even discuss the Chinese foam pumps.
