1. What a waste... - money down the drain. Don't even think about it!!! Even if you set up an internal pen this year (some idiot might advise you to do that), there will still be option 2 over time. Don't believe it? Read the topic about the Kremenchug idiots who "set up" the sea for the client. There are plenty of "awesome" specialists and sellers everywhere, especially in the capital. 2. The highest quality - homemade. 3. In effectiveness. P.S. You can't do without a sump... It can be placed in cabinets under the aquarium and connected... P.P.S.: A marine aquasystem always makes noise!...

Debbie3587

Regarding the noise... I currently have a 300 series tetra compressor working, and the CO2 is clicking while the filter pumps are running... Are you implying that the sea makes sounds much louder? What I saw and heard was relatively quiet))) Why is it impossible to do without a sump? I've seen systems running without a sump for a couple of years. Everything is perfectly fine. Well, they are slightly cluttered with equipment, but otherwise, nothing serious. I just have one huge desire - not to drill holes in the bottom and not to drain water from the aquarium.

John

Without samp, it is possible, and there are many examples of this, proven over the years, and everything lives and multiplies.

Randall7906

Believe me... It's more convenient with a samp! If you don't want to drill, make a "spillover" from plastic... Added after 38 seconds Answer... Do you have a skimmer in your aquarium?

John3432

Not long ago, I explained everything; there is no sump, just a regular biofilter with a skimmer and mechanical filtration. I am a convinced supporter of alternative filtration systems.

Kimberly

Someone advised me to fill the internal filter with a neutral, porous substance (ceramics, etc.) and to install the foam filter outside. There are different options for foam filters... so many... I have seen homemade ones from Kyiv, hanging ones (installed on the edge of the aquarium), and stationary ones—both large and small... But I am sure that, like in any field, there is a kind of STANDARD of quality. So my task is to find such a STANDARD and get it for myself at home.

Kayla7655

If you only knew what a joy it is to have a little algae creature on the caulerpa in Samp...

Gabriel

I guess... but first of all, it's the aesthetic appearance. If we can do without a sump, let's do without it. Let it be more expensive, but without unnecessary volume and holes in the bottom of the aquarium. True stories, rumors, and gossip about the "universal flood" from the neighbors below also play a significant role in choosing such a system.

Mark9853

I have some nice-looking Caulerpa, Enteromorpha, Batriocladia, and Gracilis algae in my reef, and they are growing right before my eyes. I don't need to dive into the sump to see the algae that are half withered in the filamentous algae like usual in sumps.

Zachary

Is everything with you in the Aquarium? Added after 45 seconds Do you have surgeons?

Rodney3101

Yes, everything and everyone here lives and thrives, while my friend has been without SAMP for over 10 years and everything is great, which is a long time. I don't have any surgeons; I have Helman, a girl, a couple of clowns, pseudochromis paccagnellae (false grammas) and a centropyge argi that is indifferent to my algae.

Kyle

You did not answer the question: Message from There is a regular biofilter there, as well as a skimmer and mechanical filtration. Is all this in your aquarium? And I figured out that you can't afford hirogues because they would quickly eat your "plant tank."

Brandy1134

If possible, set up a sump. Or at least consider the possibility. Many aquarists who can afford it equip a fish room. A sump is convenient because it houses a lot of equipment, allows you to separate aggressive creatures, in general, it's a technical water body. I like my algae filter; the photo is actually a year old, but it still looks nice.

Jose

Hehehe... You have a biofilter and equipment (foam generator, heater, pump that creates flow through this container) located specifically in the additional container, namely the sump! The sump is an additional aquarium (container) where you can hide the equipment.

Scott9892

Whether you like it or not, consider it as you wish, but there are no tanks, hoses, or pipes, like a mini chemical plant; there is no noise, it doesn't take up space, there are no heaters, just equipment, a foam generator, and one mechanical pump, plus two in the reef, and that's it. And what is this called, a sump? As I understand it, if I were to set up a sump according to your standards, I would need to invest an additional $2000, which means throwing money away to feed someone else. I have no desire to do that when everything is great even without these fantasies.

Wendy

the fact is a fact: you have samp...

Nicole

Are you kidding me? If you call what I have a samp, then I’m sorry, but I don’t see the point in talking to you. My so-called samp, as you call it, costs about 400, not 2000 dollars. Stop fooling around, you’re making me laugh. It seems to me that you are far from this topic. Sorry, good luck.

Katherine

No matter how much you argue with a person, they will still stick to their opinion.

Keith7534

The question is minor and somewhat off-topic: I have a compressor, CO2 setup, and heater left from the herbalist. Everything is branded and in working condition. However, it seems to me that this is not needed at sea. Should I sell/give it away, or am I mistaken about something?

Jessica9188

If there is no sump, then good skimmers are Deltec MC500 (internal-hanging) and Deltec MCE600 (hanging). These skimmers are far from being subpar!

Crystal

It's just some kind of untranslatable wordplay - sump, biofilter, from the top, from the bottom, from the side, in the next room... It doesn't matter, the essence is the same - to take out the skimmer and the rest from the aquarium. There isn't always the opportunity to attach a biofilter, sump, etc. on the side. Where did the figure 2000 come from, who has such rates??????

Ross

I would leave the CO2 setup. What if you get sucked in and switch to hard corals... you’ll make a calcium reactor, but then there’s no way without CO2...

Scott8536

HELLO, just imagine how much everything costs, for example, in the first photo, and then take the second photo where there is a lot of it, God bless, and I am sure it costs a lot of money.

Mary

Well, if there's no SAMP, then there isn't. An unnecessary expense (of course, at my discretion) - ultraviolet.

Sharon

As an alternative to the thousand model, there is this solution - What do you think?

Jessica5348

You're just an egg, only in profile. P.S. Sorry for the off-topic.

Michele

Imagine how it will look: a Juwel marine aquarium with a protruding appendix on the side, Aqua Medic Turboflotor Blue 3000... that's tough.

Aaron

I would call him. He would offer something more worthwhile for that money.

Amy5070

Mainly, homemade foamers are made for installation in SAMP.

Randall7906

There are as many opinions as there are people. I have been in aquaristics for more than a decade; my whole life revolves around aquaristics, and therefore I stick to my opinion, which has been tested over many years by me and my colleagues. Good luck.

Wendy

In that case, it is possible to manage with minimal equipment; specifically, a person with extensive experience can get by. When that experience is lacking, one can only rely on technology. My first aquarium died and started to smell; I had neither experience nor equipment, just one mistake and it was game over. Few people, even those with experience, can plan the assortment of aquatic organisms and stick to that plan. Having a sump allows for changing and expanding equipment without significant issues.

Michael5242

I agree. The equipment creates a margin of safety and partially absorbs the impact. But it does not provide complete protection. The author, judging by the user menu, chose a path of development from simple to complex, using their own experience. However, some people, when faced with an abundance of information and examples from others, tend to jump ahead immediately. If they have the financial means and are willing to take risks, that is their choice. Probably, at the initial stage, neither knowledge nor peers can completely eliminate risks. Everyone has their own path!

Larry9400

It may no longer be relevant, but the other day I took photos of my aquarium and have fresh pictures of the sump. I like the algae filter.

Martin3206

Just a herbalist!!!

Judy

It's all very great if the space allows!!! You can even make transparent doors with a view of the Samp.

Lynn4242

Here, I discussed the layout of my aquarium. I wanted to create not only a technical capacity but also something pleasing to the eye. That's why the algae filter is in the foreground, while the protein skimmer, calcium reactor, and return are in the background.
