With this approach, you can end up buying a lot of junk with a locomotive... It would be better to roughly determine the type of aquarium, animals, equipment, and look for where to buy. The sea is an individual constructor, and everyone builds it in their own way, and there is no clear and precise recipe.

I agree, there isn't just one recipe, but there aren't many options either. Do you need a skimmer? - Yes; proper lighting for the main aquarium and algae tank? - Of course; if there's a sump - a return pump; live rocks even for seeding... And a sterilizer (but that's already) helps avoid many problems, especially at the beginning. After that, yes, there's room for creativity, experimentation, and reading forums!

I redesigned my freshwater aquarium four times before I got what I wanted.

If you have a problem with nitrates rising, don't blame the turbo skimmers from Aqua Medic. I've been using them for a long time and have NO issues!!! You must be a very big specialist to allow yourself to speak about their company like that (with mistakes). They must have hurt you a lot!!!

Personally, nitrates don't bother me... but something else might come up, depending on the situations...
I would advise you to insert the word "yet" between "and problems"... then everything makes sense...

I am a very emotional person too - but I don't tell Arovan about the useless Atmans (sorry for the comparison, I have nothing against these filters), especially since I have never used them. I was hoping that Pavlik would express his personal opinion instead of sending me to search the forum. And I, being foolish, use Aqua Medic foam separators and don't realize that EVERYTHING IS BAD!!!
