There are now light bulbs, like halogen spotlights of 20-35 watts, but made with LEDs, and there are also blue ones. I saw them at the construction materials market in Dnipro, and I think they should be available in Kyiv as well.

A nightlight hangs by me, it's a really cool thing (I go to bed late - I often approach the "sleeping" aquarium...
Lynn4242
Please post a photo of the night jar ;-)
Andrew9581
Do you have LEDs? If so, how many?
Joe
Okay, only on Sunday. I won't be able to earlier - there was an Armageddon in the jar.

I recommend paying attention to the lamps used for modding computer cases (computer hardware stores know about them), available in various colors, including blue, and operating at 12V. I find them more convenient than LEDs. I can share photos of the devices and their light output. I have blue and green lights at home. I plan to install them above the aquarium.

Of course, send it! I'm curious to see.

Here is my photo report, it's easy and convenient to attach, with various lighting. The photo quality may not be super, but this is how it is for now.
Larry
I can suggest where to find it cheaply... my husband does this...

There are two lamps here, it's unclear what color the lower one shines? Blue? How much does this pleasure cost? Can it be ordered from you?
Tanner
It's not a problem to order such lamps. The lower one shines blue. In general, there are blue, green, and red ones (but this needs to be clarified), and in the photo, the one above shines UV (but this is most likely a UV imitation, I didn't like it very much). If I have any transport going your way, I will send it without any issues. The set includes one lamp of one color, an on/off switch, wires, and fasteners (double-sided tape or Velcro). The price of one set is 44.
Kimberly
A cheaper and faster option for this backlighting.
Wendy
It's unlikely to be faster; after all, you need to work with your hands, otherwise it's just a ready-made option. Moreover, there are cheaper options around 35, and they come with 2 lamps, although the brand is not well-known. To each their own...

Has anyone tried to make the brightness of the glow change depending on the phases of the moon? This concerns LED lights. Many controllers have this feature, but there is a need for a circuit or a ready-made module for "moon" control.
Sandra7004
As far as I know, this lighting is important when trying to provoke fish to spawn (specifically marine) or corals to reproduce... BUT this is only possible in IDEAL aquariums - very close to reality...
This may affect Pratax, but not us for now...
Michelle1505
Somewhere on the internet, I saw a description of a small device like that. It's a small box with several LEDs that light up in a "lunar cycle." Does anyone know where to buy this light or how to make it yourself? It was inexpensive.
Jessica5016
I recommend not to bother with the moon, there's no sense or purpose in it.
Randall7906
I often observe the "night" aquarium, which is illuminated by a "moon" 20-watt blue tube...
The moon is used only for observation.

And who is taking care of the wife at this time.
Lucky you, time is a valuable thing that not everyone has.
