Hello Fyodor! Eheims are indeed very reliable and quite quiet pumps. The only downside of modern Eheims, in my opinion, is that they heat the water even when installed externally, unlike the old models.

Alexander

EHEIM set. Cheap pumps end up being expensive. I installed them, they seem to work quieter than Aquamedics. By the way, they will replace the OR 2500 for me with new ones, a nice detail from Aquamedic.

Currently, there is a NEW-JET NJ - 3000 pump installed. The total lift height is 1.5m. The water level in the return chamber of the sump is about 25cm, meaning the pump lifts water to a height of 1.25m. However, it is quite noisy. I am considering installing an Eheim 1250 or 1260. Which one is better? P.S. I looked at the Deltake 4040, which is praised, but the price and flow rate are 4500 l/h.

It's better to go for 1260; I think 1250 will be too weak. I've had 1260 for three years, and I haven't cleaned it even once during that time. Deltec is definitely better, but they are very expensive...

Who is selling Eheim?

"Barbus" in Odessa or in Kyiv

First, figure out what makes the most noise, the skimmer or the circulation. Eheim is twice as expensive as AM, but the reliability is about the same (1260 and AM3500).

NEW-JET models with a performance over 1200 l/h are noisy and have a short lifespan. OR from AM is also not very reliable and often breaks down after six months (mine lasted five months). Among the options available nearby, the best choice is the Deltec 4040, which has adjustable performance via a switch. As for affordable options, nothing better than EM has been invented yet; the 1260 or 1262 would be just right. As they say, you set it and forget it, and by the way, I never clean it, and it’s practically silent.

I haven't had any breakdowns with the old AM 3500; it has been working for five years and is like new. I have some issues with the rotor on the latest models (after six months), but it's not difficult to resolve.

I will share my thoughts as well. The Chinese Atman 2500 has been running for three years. I haven't changed or done anything to it, and I think it will work for another three years. In terms of noise, it's no louder than an Aquamedic and definitely quieter than a New Jet. I actually placed some bubble wrap underneath it. It's beautiful.

I use the Aquarium pump Aqua-Bee UP 2000 - 3000 for return everywhere; I haven't encountered anything more reliable and quieter.

Derek7322

A friend has a "Master Return Pump (1073.030)" that works very quietly; I'm comparing it to my Atman, but my foam filter is noisier.

Ryan1989

Rey, tell me how much the 3000 lifts and how much it pulls in money.

Daniel9952

I set up a rail for 3 tons at 2.4 meters, but to make it completely quiet, it needs to be placed on a piece of glass with silicone feet; then you can only hear it if you listen carefully from 30 centimeters away.

Theresa5149

And what if you put it on a piece of plastic with rubber suction cups?

Phillip9722

Boom to think. Thought about wrapping the pump itself in something.

Rachel9060

Well, what to call it - "plastic air tablets" for the pump will save the situation.

Susan9583

Very similar to the operation of RN 2500-3000 from AM - vibration is a sign of lack of balancing.

Is it not possible to install an external filter for the return? There is both a filter and ultraviolet there. I am planning it this way.
