Among internal skimmers, there is the Red Sea "Air Lift 60 Internal Skimmer," and Aqua Medic has a corresponding model, it seems to be "Miniflotor," along with options from China. For hang-on skimmers, there are Red Sea "Prizm" and models from China (I don't remember the specific models). In general, the concept of "noise level" varies greatly for everyone, and the necessity of a skimmer in a mini reef is also a debatable issue.

It won't get worse because he will be in the mini-sea?
Of course, it won't. But it will definitely get better.

Look, Aravana has a hanging skimmer for small ones, but it's not very quiet. Check the links. The skimmer with diffusers should work well, but you need a powerful compressor and to change the diffusers often.

The noise level of a pump is determined by the pump itself. The larger the pump, the louder it hums (regardless of the manufacturer); any 1000 pump is quieter than a 2000 l/h - FACT! Any pump that comes with the skimmer can be replaced. HOWEVER! It is usually replaced to increase performance!
The noise level of the pump also depends on how it is mounted to the glass... if you just place it on the aquarium glass, the humming will be unbearable... if it has no suction cups, it’s tolerable... if it’s on foam (wrapped), it’s normal...
Again, the noise from 10 pumps of 1000 liters each is noticeable...

Forget it!
Complete garbage.
The compressor is buzzing + injector replacement + performance "none."
