For such cases, an inverter is used in conjunction with a 65 Ah car battery. A 12-hour power outage (previously announced) with a load of 2 Vortec MP40 pumps and a Deltec 5250 return pump, plus a compressor on a 300-liter freshwater tank, plus a Vortec MP10 on a resun, plus a hang-on filter on a mini tank - the backup system held up, and there was still time left. The cost of such a system is about 1500. This is roughly the price of 2-3 corals from Indonesia or one from Australia. During 12 hours, it would probably have cost a much larger amount of livestock.
Sharon
They cut off your power for an hour, but sometimes it's 8 or 12 hours for me. Everything has long been figured out "before us" - UPS and batteries - from a computer UPS with a 7Ah battery (which can run a stream for about eight hours) to a UPS with a sine wave and a battery of 26-100Ah - it will last for a day to power the return. Well, they don't warn us - they just cut it off, and the dispatcher’s response is "there's an emergency, wait, it will be soon" (and "soon" is a flexible concept). As for the car battery, I haven't dared to install it in the apartment yet - I've heard many times that it can be problematic.
Rodney
This was the first case I can remember where we were warned, and even a week in advance. I was supposed to go on vacation, so I stretched the "web" of wires throughout the apartment. The person who was watching the apartment reported that everything went well. In the case of unexpected outages lasting no more than an hour, the backup system only powers the large aquarium, while the small marine ones simply wait for electricity in a standby state.
Jacob4800
I plan to buy a generator like this for the winter. I will put it on the balcony. It's cheaper than a battery system.
Keith7534
It's good for a private house and for long outages. On the balcony, it will drive both the owners and the neighbors crazy, and it will also smell. Another downside is that it doesn't start on its own - that is, if the owner is at work and the power goes out, the aquarium will stop. So it's better to pay a little extra and be more or less at ease, although with our power supply companies, it's better to have both.
John3165
Aren't you afraid that the neighbors will be against the gasoline exhaust? And the balcony will smell so much after an hour of the generator running that it won't air out for a year.
Brandy1134
My friend has it on his balcony. The exhaust is routed outside, and it has a filter with activated carbon. He started it in front of me, and the noise is very low (it has a soundproof cover). As for the UPS while I'm at work, that's definitely better. But which UPS to choose? It needs to have the correct sine wave.
Julie
In a private house, you can manage with a car adapter (converter) for 220V - run a cord from the cigarette lighter to the aquarium. But the downside of presence remains.
Michelle
I bought a battery-operated aeration compressor. It works, but it makes a terrible noise. I would also buy a battery-operated pump, but I haven't found anything suitable yet. Can you suggest something?
Kristen2246
Is it true that a maintenance-free car battery also "gasses"? It seems to be sealed.
Andrea6761
It's better not to take a car battery, they break down quickly. Only gel batteries. Yes, they're expensive, but they will definitely last 4-5 years.
Nicholas2252
By the way, I can offer batteries and an uninterruptible power supply cheaper than on the website to anyone who needs them.
Kristen2246
If you manage to buy alkaline batteries, they can last for decades. I have a marine emergency flashlight from 1982. It still works great!
Car batteries are called SТ - starter batteries. Their purpose is to provide a very high current to start the car, but the downsides are significant: high self-discharge, acid vapors, and they constantly need recharging. In our case, they will just sit for a few years and then be discarded. I definitely recommend alkaline batteries. You can read more about it here - Another advantage is that they can be purchased separately in an aquarium and configured to any voltage like batteries.
Elizabeth882
It would be better if they had listed the price, then it would be cheaper to buy a power station. And the dimensions of one battery, and how many are needed for an uninterruptible power supply at 24 volts. A total of 20 pieces, since they are 1.2 volts each. That will take up half a balcony in batteries, and there will also be a lot of evaporation.
Heather
I will soon be selling a computer UPS set + this kind of battery.
Jasmine
batteries on Vortex 40 pumps + UPS (provides a correct sine wave) and a regular car battery on the terminals ..(it charges from the UPS when it is plugged into the outlet, and supplies it with electricity when it is turned off) all together cost about 400 USD in total. During unexpected power outages, the pumps work - there is flow (in economy mode, but there are 3 of them, so it's enough). If it's for a long time (more than 3 hours), I use the UPS for return and a foam generator.
Michelle1505
UPS Smart 750 pulls a Resan Waver 15000 for about 2 hours. Not enough. I thought about connecting a car battery, but it needs 24V. I'm currently pondering. The lifespan of gel batteries worries me—usually 2-3 years, and they are not extracted.
For backup, I have a couple of small compressors powered by AA batteries.
In the city, it's easier, but just imagine when the power goes out for 3 days and you're out of town... in winter... it was quite an experience.
Joshua448
Max, my car battery cost about 350, has been working for a year, and is almost dead. The gel equivalent from your link is 1500, which is 4 times more expensive. A car battery lasts guaranteed for a year, while for 1500 I could buy a new battery every year for 4 years in a row. And what if the gel battery lasts less than 4 years? Where's the savings? Pay 1500 upfront or break that same amount into 4 payments of one per year...
Darrell5975
At the car market, when purchasing a new battery, you can return the old one (for recycling) for 100 UAH.
Robert800
It turns out that if the power goes out infrequently and for a short time, up to 3-4 hours, then a UPS is needed. If there are frequent long outages, then a UPS plus a generator is required.
Richard2180
We accept for 20.
Jeffrey
For comparison, I set up two identical uninterruptible power supplies rated at 1400W:
1. with VARTA car batteries at 850 each (total 1700).
2. with LX 12-60G gel batteries at 1872 each (total 3744).
Result: both VARTA batteries failed after 2 months, while the gel batteries are holding up excellently.
The sea is not a cheap pleasure.
I believe that one can manage without anything expensive, but it’s hard to do without a reliable uninterruptible power supply. There are many examples among our compatriots where, after going on vacation or for work, they returned to find a bunch of dead devices.
Adrienne
Once, I personally had no electricity for 3 days because someone stole a transformer from the transformer booth nearby. I was so frustrated running to work every hour to charge those computer UPS devices.
Brent7831
On one hand, I have no reason not to trust you, but on the other hand, even Kherson batteries last 2 years without problems, as long as you remember to add water. However, the Varta, which failed after 2 months, should have been replaced under warranty. I hope you got your money back?
P.S. So, is there anything from 12 Volt pumps?
Barbara
Ray Anubis also says good things, but I've come across complaints about the 500 series online; I'm not aware of the others, I was interested in the 500. Those that definitely shouldn't be placed in an apartment because you can't add water.
Ronald
They are greedy with you, with us it's from 85 UAH and above. Come to Kharkiv to recycle batteries.
Earl
By the way, one of my batteries also died... I understand that inverters, no matter how you twist them, cause some kind of short circuit... that battery, which was used most often, since it is 74 amps, died after 2 months...
Wendy8540
I need a topic! Thank you!
Brianna
A regular car battery is not designed for constant "discharging and recharging" (the main consumer in the car is the starter; after that, the generator does its job. If it doesn't work, you can charge the battery every day and drive short distances during the day, but it won't last long!) I think it will fail.
Jose
In this regard, an alkaline one is better... or a gel one...
Jacqueline6670
In general, I figured that for my 300 liters, at least one circulation pump with a capacity of 5000 l/h is absolutely necessary, and it consumes 7.5V... Basically, a car battery will last for at least 12 hours (and after that, someone will be home and we can figure it out). The scariest thing is if the current disappears in the sea! Without a skimmer, it can be endured; the water can be replaced, and for that, light is not needed. But with the battery, it's a problem if you're not home... However, there were already suggestions above on how to handle that situation.
John5528
Has anyone heard anything about this Luxion?
Elijah7048
It's relevant for me. Who should I talk to at this company (who did you communicate with)?
Scott8536
I was consulted and served by
Melissa3820
normal..deficiencies....what about aeration?..what about aquariums of 300 liters..and more..there are such heaters and they cost a lot...and it is in such aquariums that the heart of the fish farm is located....but the reason was not mentioned. why can't it be connected..? UPS or battery fails?
Kathy
What a problem. Rambo compressor, and that's it.
Deborah2682
I have a compressor with a penny... but I'm not asking whether there was aeration or if the heater was running... I'm asking because everything is also looped... just a homemade setup... lead-acid battery... one battery died in 2 months... the second one is still holding on... so I'm thinking... a warning not to turn on the compressor and the heater—what's your first thought on what could have caused the battery to die?
Breanna9982
The ban on the heater is clear - it is a battery. According to the manufacturer, it is not specified which starting equipment cannot be connected. If it's EMPRA, then yes, there is interference when starting it in the network = UPS. With EPR, it seems there is none. As for the compressor... what is the fundamental difference from the pump?
Kathy
What’s the point of buying a gel battery for 2000 if it has the same harmful load of 300W as a lead-acid one?
Ryan
Is there evaporation from maintenance-free acid batteries as well? If nothing is added to the car for 3-4-5 years, does that mean there is no evaporation?
Jonathon8514
I don't know, but they are not recommended for the apartment, and the difference (up to 100 Baku) can be tolerated - it's not the most expensive thing in equipment for aquariums.
Michelle5859
You can, but for 800-100 you can buy an acid Bosch, and for 2000 - an unknown Chinese one.
Ryan2281
such a load is not harmful, but simply negates all the advantages of the backup power system.
the purpose of gel batteries:
- designed for prolonged low load during discharge
- do not emit anything, unlike acid batteries
All closed-type automotive acid batteries (maintenance-free) simply have built-in filters that can retain acid (within reasonable limits).
Matthew7977
How will a gel battery react to constant discharge and charge? Car acid batteries fail very quickly because of this. As soon as the power goes out, the inverter kicks in from the battery and provides about 1 kW of power, but not for long—maximum 3 hours. When I get home, I turn on the gasoline generator. One acid battery died in 2 months, and the second one is still holding up. So I'm thinking about getting a backup battery.
Steven7574
Buy a generator with automatic start...
Kayla7655
The generator is already there... but what kind of auto start?
Steven7574
If there is already a generator, then something like these devices.
Jeffery7866
Thank you for the tip. I will terrorize my radio enthusiast to create something similar. He also connected it so that the inverter turns on from the battery when the power goes out, and when it comes back, the charger turns on and the inverter turns off.
Earl
... from KAMAZ and put it on the balcony.
Stacey4437
If you live and work in Berezany (a tiny settlement), isn't it easier to set up an SMS alert for power outages and just come to start the generator? I don't think anything will happen to the aquarium in a couple of dozen minutes.
The electricity doesn't go out every day, does it, or is it still frequent?
Reginald5073
often... I'm fed up with the power outages... I'll give a simple example. I was in Kyiv yesterday... my wife calls - the power is out... the battery didn't have time to charge properly... it lasted for an hour... I had to call a neighbor to come and start the generator... they turn off the power in different ways... sometimes often but for an hour or two... sometimes for a day... in short, this year you really have to hide... I can only imagine what it will be like when it snows...
Andrea6761
with such power outages, we'll have to take from the Kamaz...
Travis572
Off-topic, but how does the equipment behave during power surges? Did anything burn out? I've often heard about how Chinese devices and Ahem units would fail...
Caitlin3279
Currently, there is an APC CS500 UPS for the computer, which powers the San-San stream. When the power goes out (switching to battery or just starting from the UPS), the stream has trouble "starting" and sometimes goes in the wrong direction (I checked with a sine wave UPS - everything is fine with the startup there). There is also a Resan stream - it starts and works from my UPS without problems, but it is too weak for my aquarium. I will buy a Coralia (since the San-San is too much for the current volume) - I will let you know later how it goes.
The UPS handles "reasonable" voltage spikes; they all partially work as stabilizers.
Allison
People, this is not the first person (ON THE FORUM) recommending Luxion inverters. Who knows, can they be bought and installed, or do they need modifications like Leoton (installing protection against inductive voltages)? I called Luxion, and they said that no modifications are needed. ... "if your pump's power consumption is 50 W, then multiply it by 3. We get 150, and the inverter is rated for 350 W - that is, more than twice as much, so it will handle 100%." Can we trust this?
Helen
I don't know which website you were communicating on, but here: the young man Dmitry explained everything very clearly and understandably, even I understood what was what... and he suggested how to calculate the working time of the IPS...
Javier5186
Thank you, I will call him.
Steven
Today I bought this device. Luxeon 500-ZY. Power 300 W. I will power 2 flow and return pumps, a total of 45 W. The seller said that no modifications are needed. Leoton needs modifications because it is not a full UPS. The Luxeon has everything, it is line-on. Now I'm thinking about which battery to choose.
Caitlin3279
The seller from Leoton advised me as an alternative to the non-branded Chinese gel batteries to purchase any from the Varta Hobby series (not from them). They are several times cheaper than the Chinese gel batteries and can be used as traction batteries (i.e., specifically for such loads).
Vincent
how much did you give?
Eric5208
950g. The seller also said that there are some ultra-gel batteries, which are also cheaper.
Joshua9847
even Google doesn't know such things.
David2398
I was surprised myself. Tomorrow I will meet with him and ask about them. Maybe I remembered something incorrectly.
Crystal4879
I still got it wrong. Multi-gel. As I was just explained, multi-gel batteries are sensitive to low temperatures, unlike gel batteries. Multi-gel is much cheaper.
Andrea8397
Well, not much cheaper, about 15 percent. Don't even think about it, only gel. Multi-gel consists of a type of foam soaked in gel, and that's not the same thing at all.
Kevin
Can you justify?
Mark
Well, I hope the durability during destruction is not a concern. As for using it as a traction battery, maybe the Varta hobby, 50A = just 700. Regarding the lifespan of the Chinese batteries, two acquaintances had theirs die specifically in aquariums, not lasting 2 years.
I found this in another article: "...Moreover, the gel is sensitive to high temperatures. In heat of 30°C or more, the gel battery will not last even 2 years." Source:
Overall, it turns out to be nonsense, as the temperature in apartments is around 25, which is close to 30...
Marie5735
I had 2 Varta batteries die after a couple of months of use; the power went out three times for about five hours, deep discharge, and that's the end for lead-acid batteries. I'm not trying to sell anything, just sharing from personal experience.
Cassandra7840
I just want to understand. Thanks for the advice, personal experience is important! I just called luxion.com.ua, I will be ordering an inverter from them, and I also talked about the battery. His words: "... I haven't heard of a gel battery lasting more than three years." Although, if you say that the Varta died quickly... what kind of Varta was it, what model?
Mariah
if it's something like that, then it's just a saw, not even approximated
for streams and pumps, it's not very good
Christopher1252
no, like this:
Daniel4967
better as above horizontal, the price is the same, there were a couple of not very flattering reviews about this one
Jeremy3637
For some reason, it seems that the filling is the same, and it would be more rational to use the space in the cabinet. But thanks for the advice, I'll think about it.
Aaron580
Well, then take the 500LU (the one with the table) for 1020.
Michele9664
he wanted it, but they are not in stock...
Elijah7048
Any lead-acid battery is afraid of deep discharge; just one time and it's done for. This has been proven over the years. I have an electric motor on my boat, and every time I discharge the lead-acid battery almost to zero, it no longer recovers. I bought a gel battery and have been using it for three years without any issues.
Veronica
What exactly (which UPS/inverter) were the batteries working with? According to the manufacturers' claims, almost all of their equipment leaves a charge on the batteries (approximately 10V). So there shouldn't be any discharge, especially not deep discharge...
Nicole7122
The Luxion has protection against complete discharge.
Stephanie4990
What do you say about the Mustek batteries? The seller says they are used in electric wheelchairs and children's cars, meaning they are designed for continuous discharge. 28 Ah 525.
Courtney
I saw it today in Odessa at the epicenter, but the price is around 1100. I don't know what kind of protection is in offline UPSs, but they often discharge to zero, and the batteries last 1-2 years at that rate. Cheaper and worse than the same Luxenon - weak, many who installed them in computer UPSs (7-9 Ah) said that they hold the load less, better to go for something like that.
Joseph9203
Has anyone seen gel batteries that are not Chinese, branded ones? I spoke today with sellers of Varta traction batteries (hobby). They are designed for complete discharge. Why is no one recommending them in this topic?
William1830
We have a thread on the forum where, in addition to the usual ones, they offer some from the States and Italy, but the prices there are 2-3 times higher than those from China. Is that the one for cars? Personally, I don't want to install something like that in my apartment, and I don't have a balcony anymore either.
Jesse3979
Complete nonsense. No lead-acid battery can withstand a discharge of even 80%; if you drop it to that state two or three times, it will fail. What is meant by traction Varta, high starting current???
Earl
Even the oldest UPS units I've come across (15-18 years old) shut down when the battery voltage drops to 9-10V...
Luis3725
In general, I answered this question for myself. Yesterday, the power was out from 10:00 to 18:30, a total of 8.5 hours. I made two conclusions: 1. This is the limit for my aquarium (another half hour and the pajama wrasse would not have recovered). 2. I need to install an uninterruptible power supply.
Adam
I also had power outages for 8-10 hours, and it was fine; there was stress, of course, but no disaster. Well, those 8-10 hour outages were rare; usually, especially in the summer during the intense heat, it happened almost every day for 2-3 hours. And you keep calling, calling, asking them to come and fix it... but they don’t show up. So I bought myself a compressor that runs on two batteries, and it lasts all day. I turn it on and feel at ease.
Jason9952
I have heard a lot about you and your DIY projects, but can't a battery-powered compressor be used for backup, which automatically switches to autonomous mode? Or is a UPS not needed in conjunction with the compressor? A UPS will last a maximum of one to two hours, but for the duration you have, a diesel generator or a UPS rated for 10,000 is necessary. And have you checked the pulse or measured the pressure with a tonometer, anticipating its demise? Why did you bring up this six-month-old topic?
Brandon9634
The other fish/corals have adapted normally. It seems that the wrasse doesn't have the right physiology.
Joyce
Well, if the fish is lying on its side at the bottom, it's not hard to foresee its demise even without a tonometer. The current started flowing - it came back to life (Olga brought it to the pump's current with a net and held it). A normal UPS with a power of 500-1000 VA, with a sine wave output and powered by two maintenance-free car batteries of the ST60 type, can run all the pumps and the skimmer for a day.
James1625
Tolya, what if the vacation is for a couple of weeks? I'd rather splurge on a good UPS.
Jennifer5784
Vacation is certainly a serious matter for a reef aquarium... There have been cases when people, returning home after vacation, found instead of a reef community an ultra-haline water body with dying organisms and brown mold. In my humble opinion, it's still better if someone is watching over the aquarium, and a mobile phone is in hand...
Vanessa
You connected the camera, didn't you?
Noah1632
They will keep an eye on it, but specifically to KEEP AN EYE ON it. So what good does that do me in Egypt? It's a camera, not a robot. And what am I supposed to do if the power goes out for half a day?
James4757
Well, that's right - you'll be keeping an eye on things, and someone will be watching on-site. :)
Dana6523
So should I just sit in the room by the computer the whole vacation? Plus, the internet there is $20 a day. A UPS would be cheaper. And the person will only come by after work to feed the fish and check that nothing is leaking.
Angela7060
Well, looking at the unimaginable beauty and power of the Red Sea reefs, one can forget about their own creative struggles... although... this doesn't seem like Serge.
Steven757
Offtopic, don't steal the corals there -))) They say they hit hard at customs for that -)))
Barbara8192
Off-topic, yes, I know. A year in prison or 3000 bucks. I was there last year.
Tanner
Off-topic. One of my friends got into trouble in Thailand for six months... But it's all good, he's alive and healthy... even got married, though here... :)
William1830
The highlighted part is the biggest risk factor. It will overfeed at once.
I also have a battery-powered compressor (two batteries), and in it, the batteries are connected in parallel. That is, it requires 1.5 volts. But it makes an indescribable noise.
Tonya
No. He strictly follows the dosage - it's not the first time. And he knows about overfeeding, it's better not to overfeed.
Ross
Sorry for the off-topic, but you got me all worked up at night with your Egypt and Red Sea discussions. Forgive me, topic starter and esteemed community, but I’m going to share a photo I just found on nano-reef.com.
Here’s a person sitting like that, meditating and waiting for vacation...
P.S. I was looking for a 12-volt compressor, but I haven't seen one for sale here.

Added after 3 minutes
The item is certainly good, but the price is corresponding. I found it on another site for 598.00. I wish I could find a cheaper Chinese version...
Michael
I bought one-and-a-half-volt compressors (2 large batteries in parallel) at my local market. It really works for a day. It costs... I don't remember, but it's less than 200. I can ask if needed. The size is about that of a soap dish.
Ashley5975
I was taking 25 each time -))
Gabriel
Well, we couldn't find them anywhere - I took whatever I could find, it was needed quickly.
David2398
Thank you. I have one like that. It roars terribly. I just wanted a 12-volt one.
Luis3725
I know this little device. It's priceless. How many times it has saved me on the road and at home when there was no light. However, it's not always available in pet stores. If you charge good batteries, it can last longer than a day. With small breaks of about 10-15 minutes, of course, after each hour of operation.
Sarah5423
I have one like that.
Sydney
I also have a very similar one, I don't remember its name, I think it's also Atom. At one time, it served me well when I was driving for almost 8 hours straight without stopping.
Barbara
I have gray plastic. Also for two "barrels." There are also small square ones for two AA batteries.
Sara4035
I saw one in the target audience for about a hundred, but I didn't take it because it didn't inspire trust in me; it seemed kind of flimsy and small. I asked what volume it was designed for, but they couldn't answer. They offered either a Terminator or a Rambo, but the price for those was already through the roof.
Daniel4967
Rambo 320. But the battery and charger are "flying."
John828
Hello!! I encountered a problem with power outages lasting 2-3 hours. For now, my aquarium inhabitants are not very expensive. I saw a friend's aquarium with corals and ocean fish, and I decided to set one up for myself. I also decided to get a backup power source in advance. Generators are not an option, as there is nowhere to place them in the apartment, so I decided to buy a battery. What can you recommend???
Kenneth7331
If the aquarium is not overstocked with fish, then your reef will easily survive 5 hours without light.
Gregory
There is experience of 20 hours without voltage. No losses, but a compressor is needed for the battery.
Christopher4108
It's necessary to take precautions if possible. We're heading into another uncertain winter. We don't know how many hours they can turn off the power and how often. Additionally, accidents can happen at any time. If you're buying a battery, you might consider this UPS for its price-quality ratio. I'm getting this one for myself since it won't take up much space on the floor; it's vertical. You can consider others as well, but the main thing is to ensure it has a pure sine wave. Around $100 is a reasonable amount, roughly the cost of a small SPS colony and a more or less decent LPS.
Lindsey3628
re-read the thread from the very beginning. I'm sure there is an answer.
Jesse
I'm okay with winter. Right now, they sometimes turn off the power for 2-3 hours, but who knows what will happen in winter. An uninterruptible power supply with a battery seems to be the ideal option. If the power is out for a long time and the battery runs out, I can charge it at a friend's place (where there will be electricity) and reconnect the aquarium equipment. Can you advise what capacity battery to get so it lasts for about 8 hours?
Daniel4967
To do this, you need to know the initial data. Calculate it yourself:
Chad
I ordered a UPS set with a 300Dn/100Fx battery. This set will be enough for now, but if the electricity is turned off for a long time in winter, I will get a second battery. It will last for 8 hours, I calculated it using the battery calculator.
Wendy
The stated power of 300 W is peak, as a rule... And there's no mention of the rated power.
Timothy
Circulation is needed here, not just aeration.
Sara4035
I will reiterate, we had enough circulation created by the aeration. For 20 hours, the Boyu compressor powered by the battery supported two aquariums of 450 and 58 liters. Nothing happened with the sump. I don't see the point in an uninterruptible power supply if there is an option for a generator.
Stefanie9771
To be honest, I don't know much about batteries and uninterruptible power supplies. I would buy a generator and not worry about amp hours or discharge time... But there's nowhere to put it in the apartment. It worked fine for me for 3 hours without power, but I'll check soon how long it can actually last.
Alec9378
The latest posts have left me confused! What option is acceptable for a UPS so that a person can leave for a couple of days at least? I was ready to get one with three watts and a backup, well, let it be 100 amp-hours with a margin, but now I don't know.
Michelle13
How is the uninterruptible power supply? Have you tested it? By the way, this UPS connects to the home power supply to automatically switch over if the power goes out.
Omar3497
I got a Finnish Chinese UPS with a 500-watt output and a 100 Ah gel battery. It's not a cheap pleasure, especially the battery. It powered two 50-watt pumps for 8.5 hours. So there's no point in getting a smaller battery. I won't even mention car batteries.
Tracy
it's little.
it should be about 100x12x0.7/50, approximately 16 hours, well, more than 12.
maybe the battery hasn't fully warmed up, or maybe the load is a bit more than what they write in the Celestial Empire.
there are luxons, and if I'm not mistaken, they're a bit cheaper; I haven't come across reviews about these swens.
...
it's worth getting a smaller battery, especially with current prices; even 7Ah - after all, a 3-watt stream works from it for the same 8 hours.

The Jebao 3000 pumps are labeled as 25 watts. Two pumps were working. There were no Luxeon lights in the epicenter, just a full Chinese one and that's it. Sven seems to be a Finnish company, but it's made in China. I noticed one thing: when I turned on the battery, one bar was already missing on the charging display. And when it beeped, there was one bar left on the discharge indicator, and it was blinking. The inverter beeped very loudly, and I had to interrupt the experiment. I hope the battery hasn't been charged to 100 percent yet. I think, at worst, I can just turn on the return pump at 25 watts, and that will make me happy.

I just haven't been in that epic department for a long time - they used to have 1-2 luxury models constantly. Charge-discharge 3-4 times - it should increase. And you don't need a power bank for the uninterrupted power supply - streaming or returning is quite enough. Some people even turn off the power bank at night. The maximum I experience without power is 14 hours, 3-4 times a year; the rest is 1-2 hours and up to 6 at most.

I tested it, it works wonderfully, and when the power goes out, it switches to backup power.

Who can suggest good generators of 2-3 kW priced up to 300 USD?
Joseph6461
I don't think there are any. 2000 watts will cost around 1000 USD, and that's Chinese.
Lindsay
Come on. I searched the forums - for home use: Kipro, Forte. A more decent one - Hyundai (China) 350 Q-power. 390
Raven7170
China costs from 150 bucks.
A thousand is not even worth a Honda anymore.
There you go. Gerard, Odverk, Verk, Sadko, Brigadir - these are like Chinese budget models (similar to clones with different badges), they don't always work and don't always start on the first (fifth) try.
David7773
It's not going that way at all... It's very simple - I contacted service centers today for generator repairs. They confirmed that the price is up to 250 USD, and minor malfunctions are rare with Fort and KIPOR during high sales.

It is worth getting acquainted with, there is a lot of useful information about generators:
Tammy2040
Forte is the most Chinese Chinese, just like the ones I wrote about. I have their mixer. Kypor is a bit better and more expensive, but still a budget option. In my time, I looked at their inverter.
Of all the brands that acquaintances bought at 7 km from the officials, only "Honda" was serviced - mainly in China, where acquaintances are and where it's cheaper. If anything, I also have a Chinese one; the quality is variable. If it stands for a long time with gasoline (gasoline + oil), it has a hard time starting, but that's standard.

Ready for winter
I bought a Stark 2000 Hobby for 5700.
I am satisfied with the oscilloscope, voltage stability, and frequency.
I hope everything will be fine and the generator won't be needed (the power supply will be stable), which I wish for everyone.

Considering the price of the in-green at 7100, it was indeed a good purchase. Off-topic, I don't know how it is in Zhytomyr, but in Odesa, the frequency of outages in winter is comparable to other seasons, and sometimes during autumn-spring storms-thunderstorms-hurricanes, there are even more.
Zachary
Off-topic This winter period may be very challenging, the likelihood of rolling blackouts is very high!

I decided to check my battery today. The return pump is 50 watts. How many hours will it last? According to the specifications, it should last 7 hours.
Veronica
The return in the life support system of the marine aquarium has the least significance.
Melissa1838
Good evening. If the return is not a priority, how to properly organize autonomous power supply on an uninterruptible power supply, which one to use, what pumps? Thank you.
Melissa3820
An inverter is used in conjunction with a 65 Ah car battery for such cases.
