• Auxiliary aquariums and their purpose.

Stuart

This is what I call a professional approach to maritime affairs!

Daniel132

And what about the Black Sea stones? Not counting the obvious skeletons of corals.

Chad

What's the point of keeping it constantly filled with water? (Or did it just happen to be that way at the moment the photo was taken?) For such a small volume, it's quite enough to draw water from the main system for the next procedures.

Joseph1346

The main question is whether everything is in one place or scattered across different locations?

Colin1418

I took the skeletons from an already functioning aquarium (fortunately, the company went bankrupt, and they remained as a memory). The stones, sand, and shells in the filter were all collected live from the bottom at Dzharylgach and Tarkhankut. Additionally, I used salted water from the Black Sea, making up 60% of the total volume.

Christine864

That's absolutely right, there's no point in keeping it constantly filled with water; it's just that after the fish from the service was treated in it, I haven't gotten around to emptying it.

Michelle104

All of this is in the form of 2 compact blocks, which need to be photographed and shown, located in a room of 18m. The 1st block is a reef aquarium, with two auxiliary ones underneath, the 2nd block is a fish tank, with an auxiliary one (pink light) underneath, and closely attached to them on the side are 2 resuscitation units and a bath.

Offtopic Super! For such a household, a house is needed. They are already kicking me out with my aquariums.

Alan273

Off-topic. I have complete indifference... In fact, it hasn't come to serious complaints; on the contrary, my spouse has assisted in the supply of metal structures and so on. However, when I leave, I leave my daughter to take care of the household. In general, to speak frankly, marine aquaristics should not be a reason for any disputes, prohibitions, or misunderstandings, and those who engage in it should have their unwavering position and be able to defend it at all times. Otherwise, there is no point in dealing with the sea.

Nicholas

Exactly!!!

Tanya

+1000, and how is the filtration system arranged for auxiliary aquariums? If these are quarantine tanks for sick fish and invertebrates, each aquarium should have its own filter. I looked at your system and realized that I will no longer sell or distribute discus breeding; many new ideas have emerged. THANK YOU for the knowledge!

Thomas5021

Yes, that's right, in each one, except for the one for baths (although I use it occasionally, as needed, both as a settling tank, and then I turn on the internal filtration and put the aerator into operation), there are individual aerobic filters through which water circulates around the clock, and foam separation columns also operate.

Elizabeth

I mean, a separate air pump for each aquarium? Can I get a photo of the aeration filters? I also wanted to ask, what kind of light is in the quarantine tank, one photo?

John3165

It is possible, but the camera will arrive only tomorrow. I will post the promised photos of the aqua blocks and I will take one of the aerobics with me. Yes, there is a separate foam for each aquarium. That's how it is supposed to be.

Jeffery

however ...now I am waiting for the overall view...

Steven7574

Atman. Try Power, T-8, 38W.

Katie5500

I am posting the promised photos of the overall view of the two aquarium blocks and the aeration filter. Sorry for the not-so-good quality of the pictures.

Sarah5423

I asked, but I've already figured it out...

Melissa3200

I apologize for the beginner's question, is the rectangular gray container an aerobic filter? Can you explain the working principle in more detail and what it is filled with? I see a shell on top, is there anything else?

Wendy

Substrate - shells? So you hardly need to add calcium? In my sump, the pre-return chamber is filled with shells, and the calcium level is above normal.

Mariah

The substrate can be anything: gravel, limestone, crushed coral, shell, broken mussel shells, etc. I do not add calcium to the auxiliary aquariums.
