Hello everyone, I’ve decided to buy a marine aquarium. But I don’t know what to do, where to start, or what equipment I need. I’m thinking of starting with a tank of 100-200 liters. Thank you all for your responses.

Julie

I think everyone will tell you: STUDY THE FORUM. Open topics and start reading from the very beginning (not just looking at pictures). That's where you'll figure out what you want and can afford. Many will immediately recommend a tank for a fish. There are drawings, photos, even blueprints. Search. I took six months to mature, and after buying the aquarium, I prepared for another six months before starting it up.

100%, regarding this issue, what to start with, what to tackle, and what volume is better, drawings, photos, mistakes, everything is written down, a book could be written with 500 pages. Then, when you figure it out and learn the pros and cons, you will have a different understanding and questions. Otherwise, repeating it every month, believe me, it gets tiresome.

To get specific advice, you need to ask a specific question. 1. What type of aquarium are you planning? (With a sump or without, ready-made or will it be tailored to your specific needs) 2. What type of aquarium do you plan to have? (Fish, fish and hardy invertebrates, focus on invertebrates, with a small fish population)

Personal advice - find yourself a mentor in this matter (or two) and listen to them, then everything will be fine!!!

Without the first, it will be impossible to find any "curator." Everyone will come to the same conclusion - "learn the material."

+1 (launched 2 weeks ago) At first, the store tried to act as a curator, but it didn't work out; they want to make a lot of money. There was no one on the forum. I have to read articles, books, forums, and ask very silly questions. Create a topic in "Aquariums of forum participants" and describe your steps, ask questions, and request feedback. At least that's the path I took.

Here, read the topic of SANI HOMERA; it practically has all the answers to your questions, or write to us here on the forum, and we will try to help you. The main thing is that you have the desire, and then love for marine aquaristics will come, and I assure you, it's worth loving!

Sanya Khomer has annoyed everyone there so much...!!! That he still wonders how the hell he wasn't sent packing on page 10.

The more diligent, hardworking, and fanatically dedicated people like Sanya there are, the greater the chances for the marine aquarium to pave the way to a bright future.

Asking "what is samp and is it needed or not" for the 150th time will drive anyone to rudeness. We need one ... pinned ... topic ... you can clean up my thread from the flood and use it as a basis - I have addressed everything there and have answers to all my idiotic questions. It will just be convenient for newcomers, and they will continue it. We can call it "From Zero to Start," and then the next one can be "Started."

Rita

And you think it will be read?

Vincent

I think that anyone who is seriously intent on truly engaging in oceanography will read more than one book. As for the lazy ones, they won't read but will instead ask the same question for the 1001st time—just point it out to them and not bother with explanations.

It seems to me that if you don't want to read, just pay and let them "launch and maintain" it. Personally, I don't have that much money, and I believe that a hobby should be fully immersive!

Nicole

If there's not much to read here, then here you go.
