What prevents weighing 1 liter? It can be done separately for dry and wet. Or are there no sandboxes near the house?
Just by feeling, a bucket of sand is about 1.5 times heavier than the same bucket of water. So, the data is close to the truth.

If I had argolite sand in the sandboxes at home, I wouldn't ask any questions.

I didn't quite understand that the question was about some special sand...

I have an aquarium the same size as yours. I added 50 kg of sand. It resulted in a 3 cm layer. Good luck.

46 liters, not kg, 46 x (bulk weight of sand from 1.55 to 1.7) = ....

The bulk density of aragonite sand is 1.3-1.35 kg/liter.

No, it's exactly kg!
17x6x0.3 = 30.6 (l) x 1.5 = 45.9 (kg)

I have a bottom area of 1200 x 600 - I filled it with 48 kg. - where it's one centimeter, and where it's 5-7 cm. On the bottom, there are reinforcements in the form of 8 mm strips, so there are "pits" of corresponding depth between them, meaning I need to add more in those areas by 8 mm.

I found on a Russian website that "The bulk density of aragonite sand is about 1350 kg/m3."

It gives the same figures. In total, 40 kg is needed.
