Why these experiments? There's plenty of normal glass.

I can't understand the point of using ultra-clear or any other special glass. In two days, it will be covered from the inside with a layer of bacteria, and all the transparency will be determined by that layer. Moreover, the water in the aquarium is far from perfectly clear, so a 40 cm thick layer of greenish water will always outshine 10 mm thick ultra-clear glass.

Well, I have it in my cichlid tank - I'm satisfied... the downside is that it's more delicate - it scratches easily... That's why I'm asking how it is in the sea - if it's fine, just simple - then I'll put in the simple one...
Katherine
It's better to keep it simple; algae growth in a marine aquarium is much tougher, so sometimes you have to scrape it with a blade, which will result in many scratches.

These experiments help with three-sided viewing of the aquarium, i.e., I noticed that with one-sided viewing, there are no problems, but with three-sided, there are questions - but this is applicable in freshwater with warm light... In the sea, it's cold, and I suspect that the glass here is violet.

It's not purple. My client has a JEBO aquarium with greenish glass, the sea should be blue, but it has a green tint.

So I want to avoid that... Does it mean I have to make it out of Diamond?
Michael3221
You can make it from a regular 10 of Lisichansk and not bother yourself.

The people clarified all the details. Diamond is indeed "a little" softer - but this factor is so negligible that it can be disregarded. The principle of making ordinary glass is that iron oxide is added during production to lower the manufacturing temperature (to save gas resources). In Diamond, this is not added, which increases its production cost, but the strength, if it differs at all, is only by a small percentage... In general, I ordered Diamond (truly European), let's see how it performs.
