Brothers and sisters, please let me know where in Kyiv I can buy ball valves and PVC fittings. Thank you all in advance.

April3499

Both PVC and CPVC are abundant in Epicenters - I'm currently on my way to get some.

Ryan

also took almost everything at the epicenter

Joseph8592

Thank you, I was in Kyiv at the epicenter. Indeed, it's full, BUT: - there the assortment is in inches, but I need 25 mm; - there the valves are made of PP, but I need to glue.

Sandra7004

if you don't like the epicenter, go to u, they should have it, though not at epicenter prices

Barbara8192

It has nothing to do with like or dislike. It just doesn't fit.

Kristen1161

That's what I meant, there's a smiley at the end, and I even wrote where to find the right size.

Wendy2244

Actually, an inch is 25.4 mm. Are we talking about the inner or outer diameter? I would appreciate it if you could provide the inner size of the valve. And thank you for the visual information. I will be more careful.

Bethany

PVC fittings from European manufacturers (usually gray) are measured in millimeters, while American ones (white, NIBCO) are measured in inches. The standard coupling is usually gray, meaning the sizes are in millimeters. PVC pipes can be heated and fitted onto a larger diameter pipe. Take a white 3/4 pipe and heat it; when the edge becomes flexible, fit it onto the gray PVC pipe or vice versa. The sizes of the pipes are based on the outer diameter. Fittings, tees, elbows, and valves are sized according to the diameter of the pipe that fits into them. PVC is glued, unlike polypropylene. They look similar, but it's important to check the price tags or consult the manager.

Vanessa6144

There is definitely a. But if you need to reduce costs, I did the following: I took a pipe and a NIBCO ball valve, took the pipe to a lathe operator, and for a small fee, adjusted it to fit the gray coupling.

Jasmine

I would take sandpaper and if I really wanted to force something impossible in three minutes, I would quickly sand it down - but I just don't understand what these complicated plans are??? Since PVC doesn't stick to CPVC glue for PVC-U - but it sticks like crazy with silicone. PVC can be welded - the second one is glued. And most importantly, both the first and second types of pipes and fittings, even valves - are plentiful in the EPC. This seems to be the question - "where to get it"?!

Leah

Both PVC and Chlorinated PVC (yellow NIBCO for hot water) bond excellently (and only bond) with PVC glue (available in the same section of Epicenter) - personally tested.

Adrienne

I buy from Akvaris, a company in Kyiv. It's a bit expensive. A ball valve costs around 120 UAH, fittings, etc. start from 8 UAH.

I was puzzled searching for PVC fittings in our town. First, I went to Epicenter and found everything in the photo - except for the coupling. The manager in the store was wide-eyed and said that such a thing simply doesn't exist (let that be on the conscience of his employers). People, please take a photo of the coupling, the one that: and in which department of Epicenter you bought it. I saw gray couplings, but the systems there are for cable conduits or something similar (not glued but tightened on a cone), are those the ones?

Michele9664

There was also the idea to make a simple pass-through coupling from the part in the photo + a similar one, but "female". Such a beauty pass is used in its flows.

Lindsey3628

Post No. 16 - the photo on the left is the coupling))), not from the epicenter))) check the Akvalis website)) section: pipes and fittings.

Chelsea

How much does a 3/4 faucet cost?

Andrea8397

80-85 hryvnias - I don't remember exactly, I threw away the receipts.

Selena4467

Found the 25th faucet for soldering, price 12.

Danny

PVC cannot be joined by welding. PP (polypropylene) is joined by welding. Therefore, with such a valve, everything must be made of PP: pipes, fittings, and valves. This is also done. However, gluing is simpler and neater than welding with a soldering iron.

Mariah

I am going to glue it, but what kind of glue can be used to bond polypropylene? Or maybe I should cut threads?

Jeremy

Look at the valve core, in PP they are usually metal.

Alyssa6727

It won't be possible to glue it, but you can cut threads on a lathe.

Natasha

Nothing will work out. Don't reinvent the wheel.

Brent7831

It seems to be all plastic.

Ricky9405

Yeah, I was thinking of ordering pipes and fittings from their online store, but the minimum order is 100 euros, and I only need about 30-35 at most.

Brooke

We already have experience with threading, we will cut it + on silicone.

Kimberly4253

I called and placed an order for less than 100 euros. Thank you for the hint; I ordered some pipes and fittings there today, and I will get the rest from A (if they have 16 mm valves), since I have 20 mm couplings, and I need to narrow the Durso, but there are no 16 mm fittings at Aqualis. By the way, I just noticed, did you mean the Kyiv company? I googled and found the Donetsk "Aqualis" (I just noticed the difference in the name), here is the link, and I ordered from there.

Tara2761

Offtopic Sania - I wanted to stay silent - I can't - why do you complicate everything so much??? With unnecessary narrowing and exotic pipes... There are no pressures in this system, just a slight support, switching to "Nibco" is as easy as pie...

Susan

this is a subsidiary.

Jennifer9100

For the new aquarium, I will order here. It's a good site. You can find a lot. Prices are great. Minus VAT.

Stuart

No, it's not cool to import pipes from Germany, although the prices there are reasonable. Off-topic, there might be a lot of other interesting things, but I'm not into those kinds of websites - I don't know German at all, how to calculate VAT and how much, who knows, prices in euros mean not everything will be cheap, unless maybe Eheim and Deltec pumps might be relatively inexpensive, but for me, it's still expensive.

Michelle5859

I don't know languages either, I use translators. Well, I think if the order is for 100 euros with shipping, I think there is a reason. Excluding VAT. A crane for 45 euros compared to 110 of ours is fine. The elbow and bends are really cheap.

Amber

I was looking for a 16mm PVC pipe and corners for it - there are none at Epicenter, and none at the markets. KAPRO was closed, that's the only option left to check... It's sad, but the offer only includes PP pipes. Are there any other places worth searching? Who knows?

Amy5070

I buy at Kharkivska metro station, I don't know if there are any at 16.

Jeffery7866

It seems like you are not familiar with our range of products or the price does not suit you!?

Charles4157

Yes, I know, of course. Just the other day, I bought a 12mm pipe with elbows. But that's for the scrubber. However, I'm looking for a 16mm for the stand for live rock. Here, style and neatness aren't necessary. Just like tickets, to stick the rocks on a rod. And the cost of the stand also matters.

Teresa

Maybe you were looking for it in Epicenter? I don't even remember there being no (PVC pipe FlowGuard Gold) pipes there, and I go there quite often. 16mm pipe for hot water (yellow). Or is that not suitable?

Kevin3579

Actually, not 16, but 3/8 or 1/2, I don't remember exactly. The diameter of the yellow one is slightly different from the white "Nibko," but in general, it's about 16.5-17, since it had to be slightly ground down for the 16 fitting.

Jeffrey

Each epicenter forms its own product pool based on what is being purchased. I was so disappointed when I came to buy PVC pipes at the local epicenter (they had been sold there for a year), and the manager said that there was no demand in our city and they would no longer sell them.
