• I seek advice at the beginning of mastering the sea on a 360L.

Hello, sea experts, I seek your help and advice as I begin to explore such an interesting and captivating hobby. I have a 360-liter aquarium with 10mm glass. Please advise me on what to start purchasing, but I do not want to drill the aquarium. Thank you in advance!

I have déjà vu And there are a few more topics like this. Someone needs to be assigned to create a FAQ (for 100, 300, 700 liters)

The question is that the budget is limited; I plan to gradually gather the equipment for the aquarium, but I would like to decide what to start buying, even down to the small details!

This is correct! Otherwise, it will turn out to be a colander! In order to ask the question correctly, everything needs to be described accurately. At the very least, the size of the already prepared container. This is better than specifying the volume. Secondly, indicate what you want to see in the aquarium. Then you can select the equipment accordingly. However, for this, you will still have to read literature or study the topics of forum members' setups.

Right now, there is a constant update of equipment in the market, both from local and foreign manufacturers (and all of this is moving in a positively better direction). Personally, I wouldn't buy anything in advance, but would stock up on knowledge and money...

If you don't drill, it will be more expensive. Two holes and two glued glass pieces (overflow shaft) will be cheaper (and much more reliable!) than a hanging overflow.

The aquarium dimensions are 120 cm in length, 60 cm in height, and 50 cm in width. I want to start with a small soft coral reef and 6-7 fish. I would like to understand how the sump is structured, from the outlet of the aquarium to the return of the water, what the dimensions of the sump should be for my aquarium, and how many sections for water overflow and what should be included in them?! Also, which brand and performance of skimmer and pump for circulation and flow should I choose, and regarding lighting - something not too expensive but effective, for example, can I use this type of light for a 120 mm aquarium? I also found this skimmer, or is there a cheaper option?

Teresa

Buddy, you definitely need to get into my topic. And the aquarium is the same, just change the dimensions if possible - height 50, width 60 - there will be fewer problems with lighting and a larger bottom area. Everything you asked about, I already sniffed out from the sea wolves, and it's all written there. P.S. They don't answer general and vague questions here, nor silly ones - I checked it myself - how do they still tolerate me here? But I seem to be at the level of "advanced beginner."

Buddy, I’ve had an aquarium for a long time, it’s freshwater, so can you tell me what to cut and where to insert it to change the height and width? I want to develop my own topic to understand better for myself, not just what was written for you!!! And I already read your post yesterday!

I took the dimensions from here - modified (increased) them for my stand and extended the length of the first chamber for my skimmer. I ordered the skimmer from Vitaly on the forum - he has a good reputation there, he has made many of them and everyone is satisfied, and it's very budget-friendly. Yesterday I bought a New Jet 3000 - there were heated debates in my thread yesterday about whether the 1700 would be sufficient.

How much does your pen cost, and how can I order it so that it gets sent to me in Kryvyi Rih? I'm also very curious about how you made the ashtray and the ribs with the ties. Could you provide some kind of diagram with dimensions and hole sizes? Also, what kind of tubes did you use and where can I buy them, for example, in Epicenters or somewhere else? I don't have any sea in Kryvyi Rih, well maybe there are some units, but I don't know them, and I can't even see how things are done in person!

Krivoy Rog. Nikita. Studio "Stylish Aquarium", I don't know its address - he has a lot of experience. Talk to him. He doesn't have a lot of experience, it's small - but he already knows a lot, he can tell you about pipes and other things in person, maybe even show you. He is also a "representative" of Arowana - this will be useful for you as an aquarist. It's better to drill your volume than to install an overflow.

Thank you all for the advice!
