Ventricaria ventricosa - Bubble Algae. Remove carefully.

Holly

Understood. Thank you very much. I will clean up so that they don't burst in the water. In any case, I will try.

Kellie

there are still a lot of planarians)

Melissa2062

I am almost 100% sure that I passed you these "pirate eyes" with my frags. They are not harmful by themselves, but if you don't monitor their growth, you can end up with a headache. Please tell me where your euphyllia is placed and under what light! Mine looks completely different. It is growing and everything is fine, but the tentacles are like little sausages. Thank you! Best regards, Max.

Megan

this is Ventricaria ventricosa, I carefully cut mine with a blade........although Logvinov, for example, says they are harmless...............

Frederick

I remove it with tweezers, but why can't it be crushed? Will it grow? Will it poison? Do nitrates eat this eye?

Laurie3842

Here, at least someone asked the question correctly. Since it is growing, there is something for it in the system. I brought in something similar, only red. Well, the ball doesn't grow, no matter what you do.

Jill1815

That's why Yarik, because you have a RED one and as I understand it, it's different. And this nasty thing will grow even in good conditions. My red one doesn't grow either. You can't eat it. That's how it reproduces.

Colin1418

I have it everywhere in my aquariums, I keep it under control and it doesn't pose any problems; on the contrary, it even decorates empty spots on the reef. Since this algae can reproduce quickly, it is necessary to remove it carefully without crushing it in the water, otherwise the spores will enter the water and propagate. The red one is Botryocladia stsbergii. Here is the link, maybe someone will find it interesting.

Sharon

That's the point. It's just that if there's nothing else to garnish with.

Samuel6138

At Logvinov's, it also decorates some empty areas of the reef, looking quite nice.

Joshua3019

In a well-maintained reef aquarium, all the decoration is simply about knowing how to do it and approaching it with passion.

Sometimes, even a seemingly ordinary detail in a marine aquarium, when carefully considered in terms of where and how to place it, can ultimately look stunning. It may take a lot of time and nerves, but in the end, the reward is a picture that you can't take your eyes off.

Joseph

Well, let's THOROUGHLY cultivate Valonia, Cladophora, Bryopsis... what else is there, and everything will be fine, we'll praise each other's aquariums with different stuff, but at least everything will be "thought out."

Brent5588

Don't fasten it. It's not about that, but about how to design an aquarium more beautifully and unconventionally. Besides what you mentioned, is there anything else in the marine aquarium to work with in terms of interior? Algae parasites will never overrun a good owner's aquarium, and he won't cultivate them.

Caitlin3279

What is it that everyone always struggles with in their aquariums? Well, if there's no money for anything else, that's a no-brainer.

Amber6362

Off-topic. I'll let you in on a secret - I'm not even trying, there's nothing to fight against. I have to deal with other tasks related to the setup. Check my profile, maybe you'll figure out what... you'll find there piles of crap from bryopsis, threads, diatoms, etc., I'll sell everything, maybe I'll earn enough for cigarettes.

I have long been amused by the states of marine aquariums of some forum members and their approach to the concept of "reef" in the aquarium, but they sure have a lot of swagger.

Timothy

Thank you very much for your help in identification. I currently have three colonies of these algae in my aquarium. I will definitely remove two colonies (in fact, I have already removed them), but I left one colony. It's just that I am currently at that stage of marine aquaristics where I look at everything like a native looking at bright beads. Everything is interesting and everything is exotic.

Robert5335

I can only wish you success in developing your marine aquarium, and my main advice to you is, before listening to the advice of so-called experts, check their profiles and look at their aquarium albums, and you will understand the value of their advice. First, personal experience in practice, and then recommendations and advice. There are many theorists, but successful practitioners are few. Wishing you success.

Daniel4967

Everything is the same there, but you, apart from ...ing (i.e., talking around the bags), really lack imagination. No comments here.

Mitchell7972

Yes, you completely forgot to show off your profile... before giving even such advice.

Amy1672

This phrase should put an end to the unnecessary pointless argument you started... Understand that everyone has a different approach to marine aquaristics. And when it often happens that there is no single opinion, there should only be healthy discussions, not searches for fools who always do everything wrong. Our forum is a reflection of Ukrainian marine aquaristics, and let's not tarnish it so that everyone laughs at us and ultimately doubts its relevance and seriousness...

Courtney

Argument???? Started???? Something new. I wasn't planning to argue at all. I just expressed my opinion about the presence of rather undesirable growths in the aquarium.

Kimberly4253

Unwanted growths are not for us. And no one advised to acquire them. But it turns out that all we do is cultivate the nastiness and encourage others to do the same. The matter is settled, and that's it.

Travis572

Oh, I never even thought of that. P.S. Just some separate comments were made in favor of these embellishments.

Susan1358

I think that - to clean up to the last and thus eliminate completely. If you crush ........... while maintaining the aquarium?
