It's hard to see, but there may be small fan worms. I don't think it's dangerous.

In my opinion, they are hydroids. After a while, they will turn into cute little jellyfish. They will live for some time and then disappear (well, that's how it was in my experience).

I read about hydroids and looked at higher quality photos of them. Yes, that's them. For now, I will keep observing.

These are 100% hydroids. In my case, if I don't remove them, they start to grow significantly. I would remove them... I remove them like this! I take a hose and a pump and suck them up. They come off without any problems.

Thank you. What if we shade the stone a bit? Or put it in a sump. I read that they are very light-loving.

and these jellyfish, breaking away and flying off, give rise to new colonies?
Stuart
No, after they grew to 5-6 cm, they somehow disappeared, and I probably didn't understand, maybe they dissolved. Personally, if I received a stone with such animals, I wouldn't refuse to see the jellyfish once again, although in your case, it seems that the hydroids are suppressing the zoanthids, so something needs to be done.

The umbrellas have disappeared, only twigs remain. I didn't see any cute jellyfish.
