nothing interesting. everything is as usual - the right light, clean water
Vanessa
In fact, there can't be a revolution. There are no magic pills for color. Everything is logically described: the main thing is light (no one will even argue about that!), water, nutrition, trace elements...
Amber9312
Why is there nothing interesting? Not all beginners know these so-called elementary things. And then we wonder where the stupid questions come from! Not everyone has the time to scour all the forums in search of the necessary information, so if you visit this one, share the info here and don't be stingy!
David953
I read it, although there is only one coral in the aquarium for now, and my English is not at the level for translation... (especially the "marine" terminology)
Scott8536
Off-topic, no, I didn't understand anything, I need to read it ten more times, or better yet, twenty. What grading system will you use? Five-point or twelve-point? Send the tests.
James3382
And who is this written for? Someone must need this information... It's clear that with time experience comes, Dmitry, you probably didn't immediately understand that under the blue spectrum of lamps it's better to plant blue and purple ones, and that pink corals prefer the yellow spectrum more? I won't even mention vitamins... In general, there's nothing to argue about. For those interested, we read, for those who aren't, we share our experiences! Maybe someone will want to write something useful!?

When you finish your battle for color, let me know, that will be really interesting.

Everyone basically has their own method. But in the end, it doesn't prevent normal communication with everyone.

Did I say that you offended me????? I'm talking about something else; at the moment, you remind me of an old grumpy magician....
Matthew
Not at all!!! Right now, I'm really not into the aquarium: I don't have time for it at all. I clean the walls maybe once a week. I'll let it last until autumn - then I'll restart it, I want to change the concept...
Cheryl9296
Yes, indeed. I won't rub it in. Draw your own conclusions.
Dawn6148
I'm not really "shuffling bags" here.
P.S. And here you start to offend.
Curtis9143
It can also be added that the same coral in an aquarium can be colored differently in different corners (or more precisely, under different lights)!
Holly
Guys, you really have a talent for turning any topic into an argument (almost). How about we talk about the matter at hand? What helped achieve the colors, was it just additives?
Patrick4439
Indeed.
Lori4746
The flow. In different corners, the water mixes differently.
Beth3383
The current probably still affects the shape, or have you noticed a change in color?
Gregory
more on growth and overall condition
More on light and water quality

I know that I know nothing, they said once in ancient Greece. And they were right. So even if it didn't discover America, the Logov article brings its much-needed informational benefit to the aquaforum, and we should always gratefully accept the goodwill actions of forum members aimed at the common good. Thank you very much.

Maybe we should discuss which lamps are best to use today for achieving the most favorable color solutions in our aquariums? For example, I prefer T5 lamps. What do others use and what results do they get? I am planning to "move" to another aquarium soon and I'm struggling with the question of which lamps to install. Currently, I am using two Aquamedics 15000, four 10000, and two blue Silvanians. The colors of the corals: red - I like, green - I like, blue and purple are practically non-existent...
Colin1418
I prefer MG +T5 more, it looks very good in a 60/40 ratio.
Replace the three 10000K ATI or JBL actinics with Aquamedic Reef Blue.
Richard
7XT-5, one of them is AM-Riff White, the others are S.Coral Star, 2X Power Glo, MG-150 W, 2X Marine Glo. With this setup, the spectrum is the most suitable for me, and the corals like it too. But in the future, I plan to install one more T5, either a Jewel or a Sylvania. All T5 lamps are 1149 mm.

Could you please tell me where you get blue Silvania (I understand this is Coralstar)? I have Aquastars, but no one has Coralstar (at least where I asked)? Is the aquarium Medic Reef Blue better than Silvania Aquastar? (ATI and JBL are still too expensive for me) Right now, I have an Atman actinic, but it's not good at all, the LEDs provide very little light. Thank you!
Wendy8540
Aqua Medic, Silvania, and San San are visually almost identical. The price for Aqua Medic today is practically the same as the price for ATI. San Sans were at "Arovana," and Silvania can be ordered in Kyiv. Search the internet.

Coral stars are currently on sale, one is at home now, and I'm expecting another one in a few days.

Off-topic. Well, you really did it... If you don't turn on the light at all, you won't even need to clean the windows.
That's normal. Make proper lighting and plug in all the sockets!
On the topic.
I read the article. It's quite difficult to read due to the awkward translation.
Respect for the article, and as a beginner, I found it very interesting to read.
Kenneth7210
Can I know where?
It's normal. Make normal light and turn on all the plugs!
Off-topic, everything has been done for a long time, I just don't turn it on, for clowns, sarcasm, algae - in short, everyone is fine with 78W.
