Read this article by Shimek more carefully, paying attention to HOW he measures the density of the DSB population, as well as HOW (from the western and eastern coasts) he replenishes this population, and you will understand that DSB is not a threat to you or most of the forum participants, of course in the sense that Mr. Shimek interprets it. As for Strombus, let them dig; they might live a bit longer.

Greetings everyone! I want to talk not about the article itself, but about why the discussion is taking place in the "Members' Marine Aquariums" section. This section is not suitable for such a discussion; moderators, please move the topic to the "General Questions" section.

DSB is not that it doesn't threaten, it works perfectly. I see this not only in my own aquarium but also in the aquariums of my colleagues. There was a time when I didn't attach such high importance to the DSB issue. Now I hold a different point of view. Shimek's articles are a wonderful guide to setting up a reef aquarium. In the topic, I raised the question about exchanging information from the personal experiences of colleagues working with DSB. I have read very carefully about how Mr. Shimek populates his substrate and at what density. But we do not live on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, and even more so, not in the Bahamas. And let the strombus live and thrive... who is against it?
