Please advise on how to deal with hair algae in the aquarium. The tank is about a year old, everything was fine, and suddenly the hair algae started growing uncontrollably. As an option, I am considering adding another sea hare, planting caulerpa in the algae tank, are there any more radical measures to combat it? Thank you.

It is necessary to organize a powerful algae tank with cheatomorpha. Powerful means it should be illuminated around the clock with good light (MH 4300K, for example). The cheatomorpha should grow like crazy - you will need to prune 25-50% weekly.

If there is no surgeon in the aquarium who is treating all the green stuff, plant Batriocladia, and the filamentous algae will simply have nothing to feed on!

radical method - bacteria... filament is the smallest problem that can be easily overcome!

Botryocladia is growing well. I distribute it in bushes + algae with heteromorphs. I throw away 15% weekly. There is still a bit of filamentous algae! Not much, but still... Nitrates are almost at zero. Silicates and phosphates are not detected. The water is osmosis.

Which one exactly and where can I get it?

Charles

Macrophytes clog up microphytes, it's that simple, and bacteria in ampoules are just another scam. Don't pour in any junk, don't make it worse.

I don't plan to pour it in. Even if I have a little bit of filament, it's not critical. Especially since my aquarium is just over six months old. I want to read about what this bacteria is, so I'm interested.

I have a simple setup in a 110-liter shrimp tank with red flame shrimp and cherries. I didn't keep an eye on it, and hair algae took over. The aquarium is filled with moss and crypts. I take a 20 ml syringe and inject hydrogen peroxide directly into the hair algae in three spots. In one week, I used 250 ml of hydrogen peroxide, and the shrimp ate the hair algae that turned into jelly. The cost of this was 3. No plants were harmed!

Kyle

It is not worth doing this in a marine aquarium.

Alexandra

Can you tell me if strobostomus can eat filamentous algae? My order is not being delivered at all.

Natalie

If you're talking about strombus, then probably not.

Ryan2281

I can only imagine how much the strombus will cost after they are brought to Kmev.

at 6, he is going for his own matters, we talked on the phone today...

Is there experience that doesn't work? They can.
