How many days should the nauplii (eggs of daphnia and moina) hatch at a temperature of 26 degrees? I'm waiting and not seeing any results at all. Please advise how to make them hatch and what conditions should be met.

Lindsay

Constant aeration at a temperature of 26 degrees should result in hatching after 36 hours (it seems so).

Salt - 1 tsp to 1 tbsp, adjusted by experience, depends on the catch location. Don't add too many eggs, 1/4 tsp per liter is enough, otherwise there will be "overpopulation" with mortality. Aeration should not be strong, but enough to mix the entire mass of eggs; they should not settle on the walls and bottom. It's better to raise the temperature to 30°C. You can use a lamp for this, moving it closer or further away. Good incubators can be made from inverted 2-liter PET bottles, but some DIY skills are needed.

Why do you need salt for eggs?

So this is a sea branch. Here, salt is sprinkled everywhere.

Moyna seems to be a livebearer.

and there's no need to salt it - you can freeze it

Moina is a type of daphnia. Like Magna, Pullex. Only smaller in size and with a softer shell, fish eat it with greater pleasure.
