• Angelfish in the reef.

  • Mario

A successful experiment with keeping the angelfish Apolemichthys trimaculatus in a reef aquarium has been conducted. It does not harm corals (according to our observations). We have not found any information online so far. It seems to us that another species of large angelfish has been added for keeping in a reef. Dear colleagues, has anyone else had positive experiences with keeping this species?

Don't say -OP, how long does this experiment last? A week, I'm afraid you might have problems with food for this fish.

Thank you very much for the link! We are looking into this issue. The angels arrived about two months ago. We tried to provide a full quarantine and adaptation period of one month. They eat squid, shrimp, frozen plankton, and have started to take some granulated marine feed from the company Red Sea.
