And how many caulerpa does he have!!!! Ooo.. radish, what do you ask for it??? Anyway, it needs to be thinned out periodically.... In the last (macro shot) photo, you say it's a zoanthid - isn't it an aiptasia by any chance? And if it's a zoanthid - what species is it?

Matthew7977

Yes, yes, I can exchange zoanthids (in the "Let's Trade" topic). And does Ricordea not reproduce? It would be nice to make an exchange for disco anemones, but they have only just released a small "bud" for reproduction. (I mean not colonies, but at least 1-2 pieces to exchange) zoanthids disco anemones

Noah1632

I wouldn't mind some caulerpa either, it's just a pity I have nothing to offer in return. Maybe you could send it to Crimea by train along with something else. We can agree on the price.

Kristin

By the way, how do you artificially "propagate" disco anemones? I mean, if we want to exchange them, how do I detach the newly grown ones?

Melinda

They need to detach from the parent, as far as I understand. And you can just wash it off the stone with a strong jet of water, like with an enema, for example ;-)

Can I ask a question? In the photo with the zoanthids, a pump is visible. If I'm not mistaken, it's an ATMAN with a metal shaft on the rotor. How does it perform in seawater?

Heather

Absolutely right, ATMAN 102. It feels great, I've had it for a year and a half.

Can I know what the service mode and equipment are? Good nanomaterial.

John3432

I remembered..... If you approach the parazoanthus, how does it behave - does it retract its "foot"? Does it hide? Or does only the cap roll up? Thank you!

Caitlin3279

The leg doesn't retract, only the tentacles. They are generally cool creatures, but someone is eating them. I miss one Paroanthus about once a month. Maintenance involves changing the water (10 liters every 2 weeks) + adding calcium and trace elements (Combisan according to the instructions). The equipment includes Atman 102 + DuettoCombi with activated carbon. There's also an Atman compressor, but I think I'll replace it with a pen pump - I want to fit in more corals.
