Hello, I have a request for everyone who uses SAMP or knows good links with drawings, etc. for its production - please share the information. Thank you.

Along the way, another question arose: In SAMPA, there is one significant "drawback" - when the pump is turned off or breaks down, it is necessary to properly organize the overflow so that water can be pumped back into the aquarium without overflowing the container. If only a Durso pipe is used and a toilet tank system is installed on the drain, and a similar system is placed on the return pump, but with a switch that opens when the water level drops, for example, to 5-10 cm from the top of the pump?

Make the sample with a margin. The calculation is based on a volume of one to two centimeters of water (in height).

the general idea here: by the way, interesting book. maybe someone knows where to buy it in Kyiv? implementation options: (there are also overflows, skimmers, etc.) also added...

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a BOMB!!!!! Once again, a big, heartfelt THANK YOU!!!!

Tomorrow, if you're available, I'll show you my version of the sump + refugium for a 200-liter aquarium.

I will be there if they pick me up, they will wait...

Ahem... Well, I hope that over the five years, the marine enthusiasts have only become "wiser." Sorry for bringing up such an ancient topic, but I have a wild desire to get back into marine aquariums. Can you tell me - owners of 300-liter aquariums - how much water evaporates in a week? I'm planning to reserve a certain volume in the sump for this. So far, I've reserved 10 liters (20 liters).

Maria

I have 350 liters in the M.A., approximately 15 liters ±1 liter evaporates in 7 days. Best regards.

I consume 4-7 liters a day. It all depends on the surrounding temperature. I also have a 150W MH in the tank. What lighting do you plan to use? If it's T5, it will evaporate less, but if it's MH...! A 40-liter barrel lasts for 2 weeks at a stretch, but in summer, with fans, it definitely won't be enough.

Evaporation depends on many factors, including the time of year. In my aquarium, I add from 3 to 10 liters of water per day throughout the year. This varies depending on the humidity in the room, the temperature in the room, and after the intensive operation of the skimmer (it can't be called evaporation, but the topping off works).

Thank you to everyone who responded. I need to study your profiles in detail to understand why there is such a discrepancy.... The light I'm interested in is like this: 36", although for my 50 FULL cm depth - it might be too much, even for SPS. But one MH is definitely going to be there. Do you manually top off the sump with osmosis water or use an auto top-off? If it's auto, do you use float switches or a toilet valve?
