Hello, I have a question. I have a strong growth of brown algae, and the aquarium has already gone through its development stage. The tank is 4 months old, and everything seemed to have settled down, there were some algae but not much. I measured phosphates at 1 and nitrates at 0, they are undetectable. There is an imbalance. I ordered reagents to raise the nitrates, so if I increase the nitrates, bringing them closer to the Redfield ratio, the algae should ideally disappear. But what should I do about the elevated phosphate and nitrate levels? Will they decrease on their own, or should I remove them with water changes?
