There are corner reefs. Check out the thread - marine aquariums of forum members. They are practitioners! Ask them. Most of those with rectangular ones are theorists.

Funny statement. Especially in light of the fact that EVERY prism in terms of flow profile turns out to be unique, not to mention that the overflow can be organized in at least 4 practical ways.
There is nothing complicated about prisms (except for the unnecessary flow pump).

It's much easier with a corner aquarium; you just glue the sump in the corner, and everything works just fine. The sump decorates beautifully in the corners with the reef, and it turns out great. Things are much more complicated when it comes to fitting the sump into a corner cabinet; you'll have to rack your brain on how to fit the foam, mechanical, and biological filtration!
