I wonder who uses what. For example, what do you think about the two-component adhesive Moment Epoxilin?

Aaron580

I didn't use the specific moment, but I used other types of "cold welding." They stick well, and there's no harm. However, I used small amounts, no more than a teaspoon (approximately).

Gel Moment (waterproof) EpoPutty - cold welding Stones on ties and dowels.

A couple of years ago, the two-component adhesive Moment Epoxilin was good; it didn't dust in water and was harder, with a gray color on the outside and a white stick inside. But now it has become worse, with a different color, it dusts in water, and is softer. Currently, I am using PENOSIL Premium FastFix Aqua Cold Welding. In my opinion, it is better than today's Epoxilin.

Christopher3770

10 packs of glue stick well, I appreciate the softness, thanks, lps.

Johnny

I would like to add my observations regarding the gel. At first glance, the gels seem similar, but there are differences and reactions with the non-stinging ones. So, I want to warn sailors: photo A is what you need; you could say it's not a fake and it suits us (the packaging says waterproof). However, photos 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are suitable for everything except for non-stinging ones, as they do not tolerate it well and can even die. So, pay attention when buying. Good luck. Also, photos 4-5 are not suitable either; they irritate non-stinging ones, but they are slightly better than 1, 2, and 3.

I have this lying around at home. What do you think about it? I wouldn't want to foolishly lose all the animals in the future.

Wendy

And it didn't cause any side effects? In which stores can it be sold? Where did you buy it?

Caroline1599

NO. Absolutely not.

Cassandra7840

Ah, what do you say about these?

Danielle8118

EpoPutty. Normal price, tested in an aquarium. Why make something up?

Andrea

I bought glue at Barabashov (market): zosiki, sarki, politoi, euphilia, caulastriae, briarium, papaya, radactis. Everything seems fine. (I've been using it for over a year)

Christopher3770

No, they are not suitable for the SEA!!! I showed you everything and all the types that are suitable and tested, those that are inexpensive and accessible. Are you planning to lay out all the glue gels and epoxies one by one and ask?

Chad231

Regarding the Super Moment Gel Henkel - the original is easy to recognize; there is a thermal strip in the upper left corner of the blister, just press your finger on it and it becomes visible. Also, the original always comes with a removed cap and is sold in single blisters, with strips of 12 and 36 blisters. Photos a and a(2) seem to be good, and photo 5(2) is also original, just not gel.

Janet5447

Moment Epoxy - forget it like a bad dream!!! Don't risk your pets. From what's available - Moment Gel (only in small tubes with a blue stripe!), Epo Putty. In general, almost any foreign two-component adhesive will do, but you'll need to search for them. They are better than the first two, but 3-4 times more expensive.

What kind of glue is used for bonding directly underwater and for gluing stones that have been in the aquarium for a long time?

Jeremy3637

I gave you a link on this topic so you could read about what everyone uses for glue! They already discussed all the glues on the first page!

Earl

I'm asking about gluing live stones underwater...

Craig7302

And the topic is the same... they took the same glue that was previously condemned, applied it underwater, pressed it down, held it, and that's it!

Denise

it's enough to ask a question that has an answer in the topic, and not just one!

Tracy4603

I explained here what kind of glue people use (and this has been tested on hundreds of frags over the course of two to three years). You can check if you have a couple of dozen spare frags or frags. As for live rocks, that's another matter; they are usually not glued underwater. The structure is assembled from dry reef rocks and primarily glued with white cement, which is budget-friendly. There are many options with or without tripods, using cement or epoxies, not to mention branded special glues.

Andrea8397

I can easily glue live rocks underwater with Epoxy Putty. I also glued them after taking them out of the water, leaving them in the air for 10 minutes and then putting them back in the aquarium.

Susan9583

Here lies my problem - I need to attach a small piece of reef (10cm*5cm*5cm) to the main reef, and not just stick it on from top to bottom, but attach it in such a way that the rock protrudes sideways, and at the end of the rock, there is also a living coral - so the glue needs to be very strong. I have tried a bunch of glues and nothing works - none of them hold. And pulling out the living reef to dry it and glue it would be death to the living corals on it. I also can't drill underwater for a pin - it needs to be drilled deep and from the side. Epoxy doesn't hold at all in my case...

Elizabeth1221

come up with another place

Dawn6148

Eppo pitty is very strong, but it needs time to polymerize. If it is so important for you to stick this piece, build a temporary support that will hold the weight of your stone; after a day, everything can be removed.

Jacqueline5976

Nikolai, I don't mind there being cooler eppo pitty, but I haven't worked with them and there's no need. I stick to the old rules, which means less crawling around, especially gluing in mature reefs. As Epoputti said, it doesn't hold at all in my case, so I would rather completely abandon the idea of doing experiments in the reef.

Darlene4238

Our reefs are mainly constructed so that they can be reassembled. No pins or guides, glue is only for assembling small large horns. And Eppo needs to know how to glue, and he also correctly suggested about the support.

Andrea8397

Good afternoon. What white cement is used and where can it be purchased?

Earl

Well, you're not in the right place, but I only saw 50kg and 1kg bags at the epicenter. I have a photo of what I saw, but I don't know which white Portland cement is better, as to me, it's all silicate, and that word scares me just like the word minefield.

Diana7891

Moment Gel (waterproof) EpoPutty - cold welding

Julie4738

Super glue AKFIX 705

Amy5468

Did you write what first came to your mind, or did you use this glue to stick a dozen soft corals and SPS frags? I tested it on exactly 4 samples, and all of them died; moreover, after a week in seawater, a fragment came off with a light touch. In my opinion, it is suitable for everything but marine aquaristics.

Judy

All my corals are glued with this glue to date. I even glued the umbrellas one by one.

Joshua3019

Then ask in the store, the sellers definitely know which one is safer.

Zoe7451

Have you even thought about what you are saying and what is being discussed here?
