Is there a need? What is the temperature in the house (apartment)?
Michelle
The water is currently rising to about 28-30 degrees, and I'm fighting with ice bottles. The room is currently 27, considering that it's not hot today.
George5104
it's cheaper to install an air conditioner in the room
Sarah7284
I wouldn't say that. The air conditioner costs 7-8.
Adam
AquaEl does not have a refrigerator, but Resun-A does. Resun Mini200. The air conditioner will cool not only the aquarium but also its inhabitants.
Michelle13
So, if I understood you correctly, the radiator is cooled by fans, and it won't cool the sea significantly. The coder is clearly cooler, but I don't have that much cash.
Kimberly4253
The instructions state that there is a refrigerant (R134a) and there is a cooling chart.
I'm just saying that it's unlikely to be "aquael," so why is it written that way in stores? ((
As for the air conditioner, there are experts on the forum who specialize in air conditioning, and they also offer discounts.
Monica
I found it for a very reasonable price. If an air conditioner comes up at a reasonable price before the purchase, then this option can also be considered.
Rick
Do you think this model is worth buying for the BOYU TL - 550 aquarium?
Russell8484
It is written that "for aquariums up to 160 liters." Probably worth a try. What temperature do you want to achieve?
Lauren
24-25 degrees. Is this a normal temperature?
Julie4738
According to the table:
aquarium - 100 liters
pump capacity - 800 liters/hour (8 volumes)
from 34-35°C the temperature decreases to 24-25°C (by 10°C) in 12 hours
that is, 80 volume-degrees in 12 hours.
Your 160 liters, pump 800 liters/hour (5 volumes), from 30 to 25 (-5) degrees = 25 volume-degrees
So, it will cool down in 3-4 hours and will maintain it.
Melinda2740
Thank you for the consultation, I understand everything and we will proceed with the purchase.
Only the volume is 128 liters.
And my pump is a bit more powerful at 1400 liters/hour, but I think that won't change anything.
Joseph9203
It was always hot in the room (sunny side), so I think this refrigerator won't raise the temperature in the room much. Such a pump was included in the package.
Sheila
The kitchen is usually located on the north side of the house because it is the warmest room; in winter, the refrigerator acts as a heater.
The temperature difference, whether positive or negative, contributes to excessive evaporation of water from the aquarium.
No one has disproved the second law of thermodynamics.
If you want to spend money on an aquarium refrigerator, that is your right.
I am a proponent of the standard sleep system.
Daniel
Please do not confuse a private building with a standard house - kitchens can be located on any side of the world.
Are you kidding?
Additional evaporation can only be provided by the removal of excess water molecules from the surface of the aquarium.
No one is creating a perpetual motion machine anyway.
Robert800
I have already written.
Jessica5016
As far as I remember, the air conditioner also dries well (takes) moisture from the air, and therefore the evaporation will not be acidic either.
Brooke
So, the air conditioner's task is cooling (air conditioning). The only thing is, the air conditioner does not ventilate the room (and if someone farted, that smell will linger).
Meghan
I have a 700-liter aquarium, and there is an air conditioner in the room of about 30 square meters, but it doesn't help much. To cool the water in the aquarium from 28°C to 24°C, the air conditioner needs to run all day at a temperature of 18°C, which is uncomfortable for people. On the other hand, with a room temperature of about 25°C and open windows, people feel comfortable enough not to turn on the air conditioner, but the aquarium is guaranteed to be at 26-27°C due to the light fixture. In my opinion, a separate chiller for the aquarium is needed. I read on forums that such a chiller can produce a specific smell in the room; is that true?
Stacy6866
Honestly, this is not a problem from the aquarium, but a problem from the lamp.
Most likely, the lamp turns on, heating the room, heating the aquarium, and then the air conditioner turns on, which already has a hard time cooling the aquarium. If only we could divert the heat from the lamp...
Off-topic 100%)) a specific smell of sausage. From the coolers I turned on - BOYU C-160 and Lando LD - C200 - there is no smell.
Melinda2740
One more note, the aquachiller should be placed in a ventilated area. Otherwise, it will suffocate itself and won't cool the water. The grille hardly helps. I would place a computer fan at a 45-degree angle to the water meniscus, which will definitely lower the temperature by 3 degrees. However, the evaporation will be significant, around three liters a day.
Tanner
I might install a PC fan, but I have the original cover on, and leaving the cover open doesn't look nice, plus the fish might jump out (sometimes it does).
Stephen5857
And the technical front hatch? In such heat, I open it five centimeters for ventilation, even though there are LEDs, it's still quite warm. You can also use the one from the graphics card.
Julie
As an option, you can slightly open it, but I don't think it will help much.

Pasha, check the topic! He has coolers in the feeding compartment and isn't complaining about the water temperature!
P.S. Is it hot!? Do you have funds for a refrigerator!? Install it! It won't get worse! But for that money, I would have cut the lid, installed coolers, put in a controller (which costs 131 at the cosmodrome!), and set up an auto-fill! Plus, I would have saved a lot of money (for my guys with the remote-controlled cars!)
This one? I would also need some left for the livestock, with my approach to cooling!!!
Katie3017
Yes, Maxim, that's him.
I'll take a look at the topics.
It's hot, to say the least; I just found it for a reasonable price.
I don't really want to cut the lid, but I can always change my mind and cut everything to pieces. And you can take the auto-fill drawings from me.
At this stage, I think I'm weighing everything.
Stefanie9771
Thank you all for the advice! The cooler has been purchased and is already cooling the water.
Kimberly
And how is he doing at work? Will there be a small report?
Brent8919
The case is a bit flimsy, but it doesn't affect performance. In an hour and a half of work, it dropped by 2 degrees. I woke up at night because of the rain and heard that the cooler turned on (only the fan is audible). I fell asleep without any problems; it doesn't disturb me much, and my family doesn't complain.
Leah
To understand what a refrigerator is, they just need to use it, and the questions will disappear. I initially had an air conditioner in the room, and there were fans... But that's all a hassle. In summer, a refrigerator is just great, and even in winter when the radiators heat well. The temperature is always normal, and the evaporation is minimal. And a tip: it's best to get a refrigerator with at least a small reserve.
Luis3725
I have a surplus of 70 liters.
