No worms at all. The silicone just peeled off. The aquarium is glued incorrectly, at the most stressed point (the bottom, where the pressure is maximum), the seam is not under tension but under shear. Drain and re-glue.

I support MSN; no worms or bacteria eat or undermine silicone, otherwise all aquariums would fall apart regardless of who and how they were glued.

Fungi such as Stachybotrys spp., Epicoccum, Ulocladium, and other similar types can settle in. Their metabolites can cause the disintegration of silicone after some time. Such cases are common; many, without examining the damage site, blame the aquarium manufacturers. This often occurs when aquariums are simply glued edge to edge without internal sealing ("like a baseboard"). In this situation, there is nothing overly alarming. You can apply silicone from the outside by bending back the foam underlay and slowly prepare another container.

Thank you, I can't believe anyone could have eaten it, then I remembered about biodegradable plastic. The aquarium is drained, here’s a photo from the inside, in some places there’s no seam, everything is localized in one corner, the other seams around the perimeter are perfect.

Make sure that in a year you don't see a leak in another corner, and a year later in a third one. Disassemble it completely, clean the glasses, and reassemble it correctly (this will take a day of work in total), but you can take your time over three days. This way, you won't have to worry about it anymore. There's a ton of information online!!! There are even videos at every turn. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice, I don't quite understand why I need three days to take my time... but okay. In a year, I will have an aquarium of 200-300 liters, I'm already gathering some stuff. Best regards.

Just don't glue the new aquarium yourself! Either study the technology. First of all, you are to blame. I recommend changing the aquarium as soon as possible - the aquarium is leaking at the most inconvenient time.

Nancy

three days because if there is no experience, then one day to glue, the second to clean, and the third to hold back, maybe something will come up.. that is, there it was not pressed enough, and there it was pressed too much. Don't take offense, I just want to help.. maybe you will do it in half an hour.

A new top for the cabinet, a new seam, and a new rock design (sorry for the murkiness, just poured it). I haven't relocated the animals yet, except for those that were on the live rock. Also, I made a discovery for myself that might be useful to someone: a convenient tool for fragging, a good lever that digs into the stone and doesn't rust. The brand is Trixie, for trimming the claws of cats and dogs, it was 40. The question is closed, thank you all for your participation.

The cool iguana managed to throw a red spotlight into the cave like a bomb in a cartoon.

Now everything has become clear!
