Many thick-skeleton Euphyllias have a longitudinal tubular skeleton. When bitten, the skeleton breaks longitudinally all the way to the head... 50/50 - not always. (I bit one just a few days ago). It's not fatal, but the frags take a long time to recover. The same goes for Caulastrea, but it's easier with it - the skeleton is thinner. Ideally, you should saw it, but the thickness is not that important. Be especially careful with an abrasive wheel.
