Should we move the sand?

I'm moving from a 60-liter tank to a 550-liter one. I have a question - should I transfer the sand or is it better to buy new? Pros of new sand - fresh and beautiful. Pros of old sand - some life and bacteria. Cons of old sand - a lot of detritus. So, what is the right choice? Should I buy new sand for the entire volume, or sift the existing sand and add fresh?

If the sand is of one fraction, you can rinse the old sand in seawater (if it's heavily contaminated - in osmosis) and then you can mix it. If the sand is of different fractions - do not mix! The result will be a mess.
