• Help identify the aquarium.

Good day, dear ones. I first saw a marine aquarium about 3 years ago, and around the same time, I found your forum in an attempt to learn the approximate cost of such an aquarium. Back then, I firmly decided for myself that it was beyond my budget. But all these years, I have periodically returned to admire your creations. However, to be honest, I never thought I would go through the registration process and actually join your ranks. I came across this aquarium: no brand markings were found. The volume is about 75 liters, with 60 liters of live water, and behind the blue wall, there are three compartments. One has a sponge, the second has some ceramics/plastics, and the third, as I was told, is for coral rubble. Externally and in terms of construction, it resembles the AQUAEL ReefMAX, which many consider ideal for beginners, but it doesn't seem to be it. Do you happen to recognize what kind of aquarium this is? It also comes with a pump. I plan to fill it with 6-7 good live rocks, not dry reef rocks, from trusted sellers. One or two fish... The seller claims that no additional gadgets are needed, except maybe a cheap skimmer, and only if necessary. What is your verdict? What are the chances of joining the ranks of aquarists with such an aquarium without torturing the fish? Thank you in advance!

EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! Off-topic, I don't know anything about the sea.

Was the aquarium bought or given as a gift? The seller is not aware of what kind of aquarium it is? Riffmax is not as deep as this one and it has corners. This one looks like a Jebo or something else Chinese.

The seller was unaware, just happened to come across it - wanted to buy it cheaply, but after spending three days on various forums, realized that he needed to get a regular aquarium of about 150 liters, set up a sump, lighting... and then happiness would come to him. Or maybe not. Although I haven't figured out how to do all this yet - there is too much different information/opinions. And as I understand it, there isn't a single comprehensive thread with the one correct recipe.

Well, you got me, I already sent a link to what seems to be a similar aquarium (resun dms-500).

Andrew9581

Similar, but not it. The holes are arranged differently, and the internals are different too. I will assemble it myself, I already know for sure! I will continue to study the forum. Someday, I hope, my topic will appear in the "Aquariums of Forum Members" section. Thank you!

I don't know about Resun, but with Boyu (the equivalent), there are different configurations (with and without a skimmer).... So maybe the same situation exists with Resun. Look at how they set up the Boyu - tl450, Resun dms-500. For example, what they do with the lighting, what skimmers they use.... There is a LOT of information.

I saw it, I saw everything. I even thought about getting the Boyu 550 with 128 liters, but after talking on the phone with one of the forum participants, I was dissuaded. It still needs modifications, even the lighting... Right now, I'm reading YOUR topic about LED backlighting; I will make the same one using the diodes from my friend Pastuh1234. In general, the process is underway... I've already found a 150L tank. I can either make a DIY sump inside the aquarium (like in those Resun models) or move it to a tub under the aquarium. But I will have to make a hole and a drain shaft... I'm still thinking about this; the most important question remains.

I have already grown with Boyu - tl450, now 300 liters. Here are the first steps.

How is the launch progressing?

Hi, fellow I bought a corner aquarium with a capacity of 190 liters. I'm ordering particle board for the stand and a countertop soon. I'm heading to Kurchatov to get fittings for PVC pipes and a crown drill of the appropriate diameter to make some holes. To be honest, I spent a whole month figuring out what a marine aquarium is and what it needs, what kind of light, salt, sand, etc.

Emma

Think about the ice right away, my advice. What will the sample be?

Sara4035

I am on the Leds and I still haven't ordered the diodes from Rey, they haven't paid my salary yet. SUMP - a regular rectangle, three compartments: skimmer / HETAMORPH / return pump, I don't know the sizes, it will be clear once I assemble the cabinet. I might also leave space for auto top-off.

Steven7574

Will you take the controller for the rail? And what diodes do you plan to use?

let's move to private messaging, can we close this topic? it's completely irrelevant now)))
