I plan to set up an aquarium of 700+ liters. Custom-made options are available, but the cost of production at this volume is comparable to leading brand manufacturers (we have 1 liter costing 14 USD). Therefore, I plan to buy a ready-made setup (with a stand and equipment) from a good manufacturer, which turns out to be even cheaper and of better quality than custom-made. For example - I like everything about this aquarium. Please recommend similar manufacturers or convince me to go for a DIY option. P.S. Please do not suggest Chinese options.

Look at the first post and video—I ordered more than one aquarium from them with friends. The quality is good, the prices are reasonable, and the people are nice—professionals! 14 dollars per liter—that's something to hit hard on the pipe. Mine cost me with all the holes and background 4-5 dollars per liter for 600L, 750L, and 850L.

The aquarium itself is made very well! Cons: 1. The water drainage system to the sump is very noisy. Durso is much quieter. 2. The protein skimmer is a bit weak for this aquarium, although it is made very well. 3. Sump. The protein skimmer will likely need to be replaced with a non-original one. There is not much that can be installed in the current sump. Pros: 1. Everything is made with high quality.

you won't regret it

The discussion is about an aquarium with a stand, lighting, and equipment (without the aquarium being filled). Added after 7 minutes As a downside, I would mention the stand without a carcass, and it's scary to hold such weight on particle board. Thank you, I will consider DIY options if the entire set except for the aquarium still needs to be replaced.

What size is planned? I can calculate: aquarium, design the sump, metal frame (covered with chipboard or MDF), good lighting (Odessa), I can get in touch to discuss, plus fittings and select equipment.

The preliminary plan is for a size of 1500x600x800(900) height. Of course, I really want 900, but there are concerns about the glass and the overall strength of the structure (after all, it's 21 stories high). Therefore, safety comes first. I prefer diamond glass (for aesthetics) or triplex (for strength and safety), and I'm trying to compromise. Acrylic is scary – people are trying to convince me it's safe, but I've seen plenty of tanks with shattered glass. I need a sump, a frame, lighting, and everything else. It would be good to understand the financial implications of such an aquarium.

I can't help with the aquarium; I only glue regular glass. However, if you could suggest a company that can cut and process the glass, then everything else can be designed and calculated to start with.

Is that all?

I think a few more flow pumps and test sets will be enough to start. If I'm wrong, please correct me. It's clear that controllers/dosers/others are desirable, but at the start, we can manage without them.

Can you provide a bit more detail - what equipment is there?

I'm looking at aquariums and gradually deciding on the equipment for myself. 1. I will go with the Deltec SC 1455 skimmer. 2. I chose the EHEIM 1250 pump, which is even more than I need. 3. Lighting is a concern. T5 is cheaper, but in a couple of years it will cost a fortune, MH heats up (good in winter), LED is expensive right away. I'm still thinking. 4. I've decided on the flow - it will be Tunze, probably one uncontrolled and one controlled. 5. I'm planning to place the scrubber above the refugium. In the process, I found out that I need an auto top-off, a flow controller, and other small things. While I have time, I will start assembling.

don't take it as an advertisement check out the auto refill, I made it myself, but I really like it... It works flawlessly and requires no maintenance

James

Thank you, but I will go with Tunes (I definitely don't want to offend anyone).

I can deliver ELOS to you :-)

service requires. The electrodes need to be cleaned (I've been using it for about two years now). If the osmosis has TDS "O", it doesn't detect water... Otherwise, it's okay.

Kenneth2761

The refill will be Tunze, as mentioned earlier. While browsing Chinese marketplaces, I'm tempted to buy a bike. But a miser pays twice, a fool three times. And in the case of auto-refill...

According to forum members, they make quite good lamps.
