Well, actually, I get no more noise from the samp than from the aquarium.
Amanda
My partner is not happy with the noise from the aquarium in the bedroom. What will be making noise in the aquarium? The water pumps?
Sarah7284
Yes, flow pumps. The wave pump is the most concerning. As for moving the sump away, that is done. The main problem, in my opinion, will be with the return. The water returns by gravity, and the pipe diameter there is at least 3/4". It will be difficult to adjust the overflow.
Rebecca1419
How noisy are these pumps compared to an average external filter?
Do the tubes to the sump get clogged over time?
Melissa3200
The wave is noticeably louder than the external one. The tubes don't seem to be overgrown much, at least I haven't noticed. Tuning the Durso will be difficult, or maybe not - it needs to be tried.
Robert
Is it acceptable to turn off the wave pump at night while keeping the water circulation through the sump?
Andrea
I have the system set up like that - in the bedroom and bathroom. The display is 600 liters. The length of the pipes is about 3-4 meters. Everything works. As for the noise of the flow pumps, I tried China, Sicce, Vortec 40, and Tunze 6105. Tunze are the quietest. I use a controller that switches the pumps (2 units) from pulsing mode (waves) to night mode when the lighting is reduced. It's silent!
Michelle104
The Tunze 6105 will be too much for 200 liters... I looked at similar ones - Tunze 6045 - for aquariums with a volume of 40 to 500 liters; performance: from 1,500 to about 4,500 liters/hour;
How many of these pumps will be needed?
As far as I understand, the highlight of these pumps is the DC motor. Are there similar pumps from other manufacturers?
Jessica8898
I brought my pumps as an example. You will need 2 pumps to start with. Other manufacturers? Only China, perhaps. Vortex is good, but not for the bedroom.

I also have pipes laid in the floor, and the sump is located 4 meters away with a 32mm pipe, a lifting pump of 3400l/h, and everything is fine!
Andrew9581
Max, what is the volume of the aquarium and what type of drain and pump does it have?
Steven
Here is the topic:

Which tubes are better to use?
Yolanda
Are you planning to lay it in the floor?
Mitchell3177
Now there is an opportunity to do anything as. Well, it will probably be best in the floor.
Brooke
I bought them here: I don't know if they can be used on the floor...
Bryan1851
Do you have a flexible hose?
Jerry
What will happen to them in the middle? I think it's possible.
Joshua
Dynamic (people will walk) and static load (screed on top). Metal-plastic is laid in the floor.
Caleb6320
There can be an issue with brass fittings affecting the water when using metal-plastic. I had problems with them in freshwater before.
Chad
Yes, they cannot be in the aquarium.
Stuart
I think you are complicating things a lot; what is a screed and people, it's not an asphalt rink where vehicles will drive.
John3432
Maybe so, but it takes years to remove the floor and relay it – it's a whole task. I remembered, I have a plastic pipe in the floor from a fresh water supply, but on top there is a screed and 60x60 ceramic tiles, so there is no point pressure (like from a chair leg). But this system, unlike the sea, works for 30 minutes every two days, and that's it. I don't know, I wouldn't lay plastic just under the screed, and I'm not a builder anyway.
Shelby3182
I don't see any problems with pipes in the floor; the main thing is to insulate them, and it will compensate for possible shifts and expansions. If you're still worried, during the renovation stage, you can create recesses for the pipes in the screed, for example, by embedding a box.
