Everything is very complicated, and I disagree with a lot of it.
1. The aquarium is made with three holes in one place.
2. The stand was welded to such a small size and has a lot of excess, plus it's heavy and bulky.
3. The sump is so complicated that if I were starting to deal with marine aquariums, I wouldn't set it up according to this project. I would give up on the whole idea.
Therefore, an ordinary uninformed person might be so scared by this that they would abandon the idea of creating a marine aquarium or go a different route.
But everything is much simpler and cheaper than what he has in his topic.

difficult, but well thought out and for a long time.

I agree that everything can be simpler... It will be very inconvenient under the aquarium... And why a return to five tons is completely unclear.

In such a design, the sump has a number of undeniable advantages:
1. The volume of water in the algae scrubber is greater than if it were in the middle, meaning the area of the algae scrubber can be smaller.
2. Light from the algae scrubber falls less on the foam fractionator - there is no growth of algae inside the foam fractionator (it's already annoying).
You haven't seen mine. As for the weight, the square profile is light. I can easily lift my stand (and it's bigger).
Because part of the water has to be circulated through the inner loop. And there is also a power reserve.

I had an aquarium of exactly that size. The stand was made of 4x2 cm pipes without any partitions or central supports. There were small "braces" at the top corners, and that's it. I think you could have placed another aquarium of the same size on top, and it would have held up just fine.
Why push it, though??? 3500 would have been more than enough.

The light will still fall, but pulling the pen out of the samp with such a stand will be quite difficult...

It depends on the penny. And no one says that this is the perfect design. It's just good that the person gathered everything together. As for the details, that's up to each individual. By the way, I have 25x25 pipes, but there are a lot of them. There are no braces at all, but there is double sheathing of particleboard (on the outside and inside). I also think that my stand can easily hold at least a ton.

Lesha, I'm talking about ALGAE. The algae in the foam are waving.

Of course, this is no longer a beginner level. But... if you're going to do it, it's better to do it well from the start. Everything here is ample and suitable for all occasions, for keeping animals ranging from the simplest to the most demanding.

Hello everyone, I've been reading about the sea for a couple of months, and this topic is very close to me. I'm a beginner and want to create a marine aquarium, and I need your advice on designing it. I'm considering a system with dimensions 130*50*60 cm in height with a sump. So, how can I simplify the system? And what equipment is needed for such a setup?
Natasha7622
In principle, everything in the topic is described just for you, even the average equipment is mentioned... It might be possible to simplify the stand a bit—although it's debatable whether it's necessary or not... You could abandon the baling system... and then moving the adult plant to the middle would make it easier with the return pump...
