The fish is a sphinx dog. Without a pump, you can't keep corals - they definitely need current. There's no sump, so frequent water changes are necessary. What is planned in general? A purely Black Sea aquarium?

Gene1948

For now, yes, only the Black Sea (Chernomorsky, Black Sea), then I plan to modify the same aquas for a reef. Regarding the current, I understood, maybe I'll install a pump with less power since it stirs the water too much. With the replacements))) well, it's 10 minutes to the sea by bike)) I think we'll figure it out... although winter is creeping up...

Yes, you can reduce the power in the existing system by partially covering the inlet (you can put a sponge on it, filtration is still necessary, and the nitrogen cycle in the sea is the same as in freshwater, so a filter is needed).

Well, a 25-liter sump is definitely not needed. And it is placed not next to, but UNDER the aquarium (in the classic setup).

It is better not to place cystoseira (the brown algae in the photo) in the aquarium, as it may start to decay, discolor the water, and potentially harm the inhabitants.

Brian

Thank you! I'll take it away!

Just take a pump with a needle wheel - that's the basis of a foam maker. And you can put it in a bottle of drinking water - people have done that too. If the pump is hard/expensive - a POWERFUL compressor with a FAKE sprayer can be used.

I'm already looking at different schematics. I haven't started practicing yet - there's no time. By the way, I was very surprised by the Belarusians in terms of DIY projects; I found about five different schematics for making suppressors from improvised materials on one of their forums.

Well, a whole week has passed. During this time, I changed the water once, about 10 liters... and today we went to a new beach and I caught some more creatures. 1. I caught little cowfish, just as tiny as the first one. About a dozen cowfish and around a dozen shrimp. 2. I managed to get 4 anemones. 3. I miraculously obtained something unknown to me... blue in color, these little clumps) I don't know what it is - maybe you can tell me what it is.

Christine

Wow, the size of the actinia. I haven't seen such ones in the Black Sea; I guess I just wasn't in the right place.

This is not ..., but a sponge. Here is my photo, you will see it in blue, and there is gray and orange, but there is less of it. In a tropical aquarium, it doesn't live long, a maximum of about six months.
