Dear, please go to the section "Chemistry of Seawater," where you will find information about salts. For lighting and osmosis, visit the section "Marine Aquarium Equipment," where there is also information available.
Lisa
Take good salt... Or to be more precise: of medium price category, basically, they are all the same...
Osmosis: well, either the most expensive one which has good reviews, or again, one from the medium price category. But I can't say for sure, there are threads about osmosis on the forum.
Noah1632
There is a seller of osmosis systems on this Forum. I bought one 2 years ago and it is still working. Similarly, there is salt in the sales section.

From the salt you suggested for review, I would choose Tetra ine SeaSalt 20 kg. For a mixed reef, it is perfect for soft corals and LPS (large-polyp stony corals). Aqua Medic Reef Salt is more suitable for a fish tank, but not for a reef. Regarding osmosis, Konstantin provided the correct guidance; you can read this.
Charles5941
No, this one is for the reef... I used to buy this kind, and for the fish tank, just Salt, I think... Just like with "TM for reef."
Bryan1851
What is written in Aqua Medic doesn't mean that you should believe it blindly; you should believe it when you've used it for a couple of years and have something to compare it to in terms of how the softness feels and how it grows.
Thomas1044
Well, softness... and in the reef there is simply more calcium, magnesium, and something else, I don't remember... it's kind of for the hard ones more... So you are absolutely right - for softness, such salt is probably not the best choice.
P.S. Well, if you don't believe the "instructions" of the manufacturers anymore, then I don't know how to live...
Sara4035
Don't be naive, you need to live long and happily, and you should use the salt that allows corals to thrive, not the one that's labeled on buckets; there are plenty of craftsmen who can write. If I don't know something, don't understand it, or if I'm not sure, I stay silent. Set up two aquariums with soft corals using different salts and observe for six months, then it will become clearer.

By the way, sea salt is sold in grocery stores. And yes, it starts up fine on Tetra, I started it myself.
Kevin3114
It's good salt; it's a shame that sometimes they "paraffin" it...
Lynn4242
Yeah.. Seryozha, I also launched on that one )))
Citizens, launch on Tetra. Less hassle, good solubility. What else do you need.)
Alexandra
I'm not saying that tetra is bad; I didn't say that any salt is bad at all.
Kenneth7210
It started on Sere - and honestly, it doesn't matter which one to start with - but not from the grocery store.
Tiffany5069
I liked the last points in the description. For canning; for salting fish. I don't know, I will drain the water from the Tetra buckets.
Steven
Tetra +++ is almost always available in all supermarkets.
P.S. My personal opinion is that it's better not to get involved with the "Arowana" store.
Hannah
It's interesting. Justify it.
"Tetra +++ is almost always available in all supermarkets."
In Ashan, Obzhora, ATB? ... maybe I misunderstood something?
Erica752
Could you provide more details about which supermarkets and where? If possible, a link would be great.

tm about the reef, tetra - I would choose from them. Red sea, aquarium medic, siachem - a big imbalance in parameters. Red sea - even the softness was twisted.
