Yesterday, my algae-eating dog jumped out of the aquarium. At first, I thought it had hidden somewhere among the rocks. I searched everywhere, but it was nowhere to be found. I started checking the area around the aquarium and found it on the couch behind a pillow, 50 cm away from the tank, in the form of a little fish. Maybe someone can tell me if I just got a particularly jumpy one, or if they are generally known to be jumpy? Considering that the edges of the aquarium are about 6-7 cm above the water level, it really managed to jump out...

I have already jumped out twice. Good thing she's always with me. She jumps up, and she's on the floor, lying there. I put her back. I try to make sure the aquarium is covered all the time. And where do the little dogs get such jumping ability?

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to cover the aquarium. Unless I come up with a light edging around the edges.

I haven't had it jump out yet, it's been living for 1 year.

There is an opinion, let's say this is my conclusion after reading many topics, that the main reasons for "escapes" from the aquarium are 1) there is no night light and the fish got startled by something, and 2) the reason is that some more aggressive fish scared it... Well, maybe it's just depression.

I have turned into a taranka so much.

In 3 months, I had 2 clowns and 1 tangerine jump out ((( All of them jumped out during the day, as in the morning they were still swimming, and in the evening I found them dried up.

Typically, fish can easily leave the aquarium when there are no edges on the glass and no perimeter barrier is provided. It's beautiful, but not good for the fish.

I have stiffeners, but the fish jump for joy. For three years, I thought the Torah was eaten, but it turned into Tutankhamun. And the little dog, yes, it jumped twice too, but both times in front of me.
