Magnesium chloride, pharmaceutical grade.
Tami
I suspected as much. What is the concentration there?
Kristen2246
In salt ? 99.9%
Bridget
How many grams of salt per liter, what is the concentration of the solution?
Tammy2040
Ah... I don't remember exactly, there's a website with a calculator for various additives, but the link is at home.
Charles
If I understood correctly, the composition of the magnesium to be added for the marine aquarium (M.A.) is hexahydrate magnesium chloride and heptahydrate magnesium sulfate in a ratio of 9:1, that is, 450g and 50g respectively per 1 liter of distillate. My recipe was made by krevetka.org.

Pavlik is not salt, it is a liquid solution, that is, a ready-made diluted additive for seawater. Read here.
I used this product in the early days of marine aquaristics. Not bad, but not economically viable. I switched to something better.
With 1320 ppm of Mg in your reef, and accordingly Ca 450, and with the mandatory presence of good live rocks, the coral will grow, but it doesn't like bright light, so it grows slower and becomes lighter.

This is true. In the Red Sea, it grows on the underside of the pontoons, meaning the light is only reflected and scattered.

Actually, I am a biologist, and I know that this is a SALT SOLUTION. I am checking what kind of salt is in the SOLUTION!
Natalie
Thank you.
But why add sulfate cations if magnesium chloride is also soluble?

Question No. 2: Where to buy Magnesium Chloride?
Thomas1044
Pavlik, Offtopic, but here every second and every third person is a biologist; first they do some chemistry, then the biologists save the situation, while the first ones learn, add to it, and share their experience. But seriously, it's not scary to do chemistry yourself when everything is ready and not that expensive.

If I receive a "for rent" offer from the supplier in the coming days, it must be only Clean. There is no cleaner.
Also, here is an interesting option, but I haven't seen any offers for sale.
Gregory
So, can you share? I don't need much, just 1 kg.
Julia
That's it!
I found old contacts!!!
For everyone who needs "chemistry"
I ordered magnesium chloride and potassium hydroxide there, packaged in 1 kg.
As for how much salt per 1 liter of distillate, I will calculate that. There are tests. They will show how much magnesium is in the Aqua Medic Reef Life Magnesium supplement.
I will report the results...

Here is a calculator to determine how much calcium, magnesium, or soda is needed. Just remember that the default volume is set in gallons, so don't forget to change it to liters, otherwise the numbers will be astronomical.

If you need anything, feel free to reach out.
Lauren
Already bought.
Total 1 kg of Calcium Hydroxide 13, and Magnesium Chloride 15
Here you have the salts for preparing Aqua Medic analogs.
Katie4842
It is necessary to check it for ammonium with a test. Sometimes it happens that with a surplus...
Tammy2040
I will check and get back to you.
