Don't you think it would be a good idea to read the forum first, in the GENERAL QUESTIONS section? There are plenty of topics to ponder. I believe a little bit of these topics will help you decide where to start. Good luck.

I think 3-6 meters will be enough; the main thing is to successfully maintain a wide variety of SPS species. The width and height should be closer to standard. Don't pile stones against the back wall; make more separate stands or columns (as preferred).

Thank you for the links, I'm not a complete beginner. I was talking about what kind of system can be built to create favorable conditions for animals. For example, I dream of a large aquarium with about 10 tons of water and want to create as natural conditions as possible. It's clear that a protein skimmer, a calcium reactor, and a bunch of other equipment are needed; it could take a long time to list everything. Here’s what I have today.

You have a mixed aquarium, quite an interesting option, I have one too. 10 tons is certainly an enticing idea. If I had the opportunity to set one up, I wouldn't even think twice. And it would also be as I like it, mixed... But for now, I manage with almost 900 liters in total, with a reef setup, and about 650 liters for fish.

very beautiful photos Do you have LED lighting? Or did you just edit the photo in the Editor?

Curtis9143

I didn't edit anything, the lighting is eight T5s (a pair of actinics create that effect). There is also blue LED, but it was off at that moment. I took the photo on an iPhone.

To leave and live in Krasnomorsk for the winter. And also to have colors like these in the aquarium. The colors of the real sea. Not dark and red stones with a bluish tint from the lamps, but white-yellow, sunny ones.

SAE has a very interesting system. However, there is a nuance: the larger the system, the more independent it becomes, while in a small aquarium, you know every little stone by sight. P.S. Take a look at aquariums with non-photosynthetic organisms.

How are things going with the dream now?
