Interesting... To note for Sergey Starkcomputer...

Gregory

It's a bit heavy for me to carry buckets... I use the Tunze auto top-off, and I'm extremely happy with it. I think the corals also like it when the salinity doesn't fluctuate throughout the day.

Heather9815

I agree with you, I need to add about 4 liters of purified water each day. For this, I use a bottle, and I actually enjoy the process of pouring and adding, although I have to be careful, as I might accidentally pour too much. The automatic refill always works reliably, and there have been no incidents. Memories of my experience with Sanya are still fresh, although that wasn't about water...

Anne4851

Very powerful system. It's beyond my capabilities. I use my own development. No problems. The water level in the sump is maintained at +/- 1 cm.

Sara4035

Off-topic. Is the debit not matching the credit, or are there other reasons?

Jacob4800

Off-topic A lot of time will be spent on development and testing. And the main thing is that it will be in vain - there will be only a few interested parties, and it will be expensive. It's better to do it in separate inexpensive blocks. A ready-made auto refill, for example, will cost around 300-350. The controller for everything else (an assembled board with a display) will be about 800.

Hannah

Regarding the buckets being heavy... I'm talking about the replacement of 50-75 liters; I don't do it myself, I can't handle it. With the auto top-off, there have been no failures in terms of overflow over the past two years... if the level in the sump changed and some water drained, the alarm would go off, but we also set a small difference between the upper and lower levels, otherwise, this can be avoided. Sasha seems to have a snail stuck... I don't remember... but it also depends on the auto top-off itself. In general, I haven't heard of any failures with the Tunze system... knock on wood.

Johnny

Offtopic. That's true. Calibration, tuning, setup... and a lot more, and you can see that the device itself is not cheap... Although it's so tempting, for example, you're on a train, and you hear from your mobile voice: "Boss, in your aquarium, +33 degrees."

Dana6523

Well, I do this when I need to replace, say, 50 or 100 liters. Two empty 50-liter barrels are located nearby the aquarium. I slowly fill them with RO water, then I mix in a density of 1.024, let it stabilize for a couple of days, and then, when the water from the aquarium has been drained, I connect a hose to the 2000-liter pump, drop the pump with this hose into the barrel, secure the other end of the hose in the aquarium to prevent it from popping out during the filling, plug it in, and... I just relax while the pump draws water into the aquarium... by the way, the process is also "mesmerizing."

Chad9037

Tanya, he had a malfunction with the dispenser, all the vodka went into the aquarium, a lot of booze went down the drain then...

Robin

No, that's a different story. I think it would be better if he tells it himself if he wants to.

Allison

You forgot to mention that first you need to drain these 50-75 liters from the aquarium, preferably into a container in my case... and then free them up... Also, I won't be able to bring a 50-liter container to the aquarium with ready water! Oh...

Laura4892

The hose can go into the bathtub, or the sink, or the toilet. Whatever is convenient.

Stephanie3084

Ahhh... I remembered, it was... well, it's in the past...

Wesley

Similarly

Stephanie3084

I want to warn my fellow colleagues about a recent incident that happened to me! For almost 2.5 years, I was washing a flask with a spray bottle in the bathroom sink, where there was a chrome-plated metal elbow for aesthetics at the drain, which got completely eaten away, so now I have to replace the elbows wherever I drain! Drain where there are plastic pipes, fittings, etc. in the sewage system!

Jason9385

That's right, Sanya, it's good that you reminded me. I've heard this several times already. I'm currently trying to make sure that if I spill seawater in the toilet, I fill the tank several times and flush the pipe, otherwise I know it won't end well. Sooner or later, the salt will eat through it, and then it's all over...

Deborah2682

A small but useful gadget A strip of plastic is bent (by heating at the bend, using a lighter), and a hose is wrapped around it (with fishing line, etc.). It is placed on the glass, and you don't have to worry about it coming off. Additionally, there's no need to monitor the drain level - it won't overflow.

Bonnie

Yes, regarding the manipulation of the flow and wave strength with the controller, it is a wonderful invention with no analogs, it works so well. I am currently using a 4-mode "viber adjuster" from Resan, it works like a beast, I can set any mode I want, and it creates such turbulence with the wave impact that the flow penetrates into all the nooks.

Alexander

Whoever you ask, it's 2-3-4 liters of water for top-up. I have 300 liters, and my sump auto-top-up adds 6-6.5 liters a day. For some reason, it never goes lower, regardless of the season. There are no leaks in the aquarium. Why is that? Does the skimmer evaporate a lot?

Debbie3587

Can you outline the deposit algorithm?

Yvette209

I have the same issue. Well, not 6.5 liters, but the five is used up. The TMS 600. What's interesting is that I've noticed evaporation increases when it gets colder in the apartment. More in winter - less in summer. Who knows physics well? What a strange thing...

Curtis

Right now it's 4, but in the summer it's not 4 liters of water added, but 5 or even 6 a day. The temperature in the aquarium rises, and when it's hot and I have to turn on the fan, it can even reach 8. The higher water consumption is possibly due to the higher temperature and the large evaporation surface in your aquarium. I currently have 24 in the morning and 25 in the evening.

Brian6895

It all depends on the area of the water mirrors, the overall humidity in the room, and the air temperature. The consumption reached 8-9 liters per day.

Katherine

Heating has an impact.

Craig7302

Willingly... There is a plastic spoon in the aquarium (included with the stick). According to the instructions, it is recommended to add 2 spoons of crystals for every 100 liters of aquarium water, once a week. Well, I don't just sprinkle the crystals, of course; I mix them in 1 liter of water and then pour this solution into the aquarium in portions. P.S. A huge thank you to Alexey for his assistance in acquiring this product.

Debra8438

I agree, the surface area of open water and water movement, plus the heating system dries out and pulls moisture from the room, which increases evaporation in the aquarium more in winter (I have +27 in the room with the aquariums, and in others +25, with outside -20). I add daily 9-10 liters to the two marine aquariums (700 liters and 400 liters).

Teresa

Off-topic: Seryoga, I started smoking in the second grade, quit after a day because my father "advised" me to. Then I only smoked at the outpost.

Jeffery

Where is this medication sold? What is the packaging and price?

Reginald5073

As far as I know, there is in Airife. You can find out on their website.

Heather6148

For Donetsk - "salt without salt" PRO-SPECIAL MINERAL was in the "Darwin" store on Chelyuskintsev at least a week ago. If I'm not mistaken/ it seems so. Better to call them. Not an advertisement, damn it. Just to help.

Janet5447

What kind of shop is this? I've never heard of it. Is it by any chance located there?

Selena4467

No. There the owner is Imir. I bought fish there on December 31, 2011.

Charles894

On Maria Ulyanova Street, there is a small cozy shop not far from the trolleybus and bus stop - I recommend it. And the selection of animals there (at least recently) is quite good. By the way, the saleswomen are friendly.

Omar3497

Offtopic I wanted to add "And the owner too" but then changed my mind.

Jennifer7578

Offtopic ShiroGa.. you scare me)

Nicole263

Tolik, why did you decide to use it at all? It seems like a 3-component balling. Do you have an aquarium on balling? Sorry if I missed it.

Stephen5841

Absolutely right. At the bowling.

Rachael

This link provides useful information on the chemical composition of seawater in reef aquariums, as well as practical recommendations. I offer it for the attention of my colleagues.

Rachel

photos of marine aquariums and some explanations of the methodology for setting up and subsequently maintaining system stability.

Jessica5016

The article also has controversial points. For example: It turns out that for my 300 liters with a mirror area of 120x50, 600 watts of metal halide light is needed. All that's left is to throw a bay leaf into the already salted water, and the fish soup is guaranteed.

Melanie

There is a wealth of useful information here, including questions and answers, on topics that will be helpful for sailors, both young and older in rank. Those that recently for some reason did not open. This is the experience of working with a reef from seven years ago, and I haven't found any information about it now. However, it is very interesting...

Amy5468

As promised, here is a small photo session... to be continued...

David2398

Hipatus changes color towards a return to the natural, from solid dark blue. The reason for this metamorphosis has not been determined.

Sara

Tolik, hi! How do surgeons not fight among themselves, especially the yellowtail zebrasoma?

Jeffery

Hi, Sanya. The surgeons in the pictures live in harmony. I've never noticed any fights or anything like that among them. Helmon is also friends with them.

Dana6523

And where are the angels?

Monica

In the fishery...everyone is gathered. They haven't had their turn yet. In the near future, I will post their photos as well. By the way, they have grown. Tomorrow, I will probably start taking pictures in the afternoon, but the shots don't turn out as you want; everything looks fine on the camera, but when you upload it to the computer, the saturation somehow gets lost.

Angela6489

I added a little embellishment, otherwise the fish looks quite pale.

Kevin

Thank you, Max, now it's like in reality...

Catherine6534

What mode are you shooting in?

Michelle1505

Canon SX 120 IS camera, I mainly shoot in "auto" mode.

Jacqueline5976

It is possible that this camera has an aquarium shooting mode. There is also a very simple free program called Picasa 3. With it, you can adjust brightness, contrast, and other enhancements of the original photo with just 3-4 buttons. You can also remove red-eye from the aquarist who has been staring into their aquarium for a long time.

Catherine6534

Such a mode is not provided in these soap dishes.
