Ultraviolet light destroys PVC... that's why it's recommended to keep it away from the sun... I don't know how rain is harmful... P.S. Yarik, now please tell me where you got that? I need blue... and I won't hesitate to put it in a marine aquarium.

Offtopic This often happens in Epicenter.

Acrylic is needed; at this size, it won't be expensive, and the thickness is 4-5mm, plus it's not a problem to find it in Kyiv. This one might work too, but personally, I didn't like the foamed PVC.

Volodya, that's absolutely right - I bought it at Epicenter, on the ring road. 29. With what? Clarify, because it's not clear what is what. Were there any issues? Fish? What was wrong?

I only submerged acrylic and PVC (non-foamed) in water, while I made the lid from foamed material - I didn't like the material itself and working with it, plus it warps when heated.

Normal advertising PVC is UV protected and is not afraid of rain and temperature; store signs can stand outside for years. Acrylic is certainly good, but it is much more expensive and much more difficult to work with due to its greater hardness.

I use it like that. And in the sea too, it stands in the water and nothing happens to it.

The tenants will be fine, master.

Thank you to everyone who responded. It's been a day - everything is fine. One important point - it is written - FOAMED. Now the partition in the SAMPE rises (by a third). I didn't take that into account. However, it even better blocks the falling light in the compartment with the foam.
