Of course it's real, everything in this life is real! Not everyone initially has J.K. (living stones), all of this is described through examples from participants of the maritime forum. I hope the non-living stones are not just store mannequins?

Lynn4242

It's real. But it still takes time for the aquarium to mature.

Amber1273

Really, especially in Zaporizhzhia. Some even specifically subject S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) to heat treatment during the launch. And what is the volume of the proposed aquarium? And why has this question arisen?

Rodney3101

The size of the proposed aquarium is 50x30x30. I decided to try my hand at marine aquaristics. I know the volume is a bit small, but I can't handle a larger one for now.

Debra8438

Here is an interesting topic by Arelava on launching on dead soil and stone, besides water, using bacteria:

Eric5208

And also, with your planned dimensions, specifically a tank length of 50 cm, there are no lamps available, as the Sylvania Coralstar FHO24W/T5/G5 lamps, 55 cm, and the T5 Aqua Medic Reef Blue 24W lamp, 55 cm, are not available, and the length before them is 29 cm. P.S. I hope switching to "you" is not offensive?

Amy5070

Why buy live rocks for $22/kg only to turn them into dry rocks later? It’s better to buy dry rocks for $6-7/kg instead. Don’t listen to this advice and don’t do that. Regarding the tank, it’s better to make it 60x40x35, standard lamps and fixtures will fit. Read this topic to understand what to do!

Alyssa1438

I didn't process anything. I didn't even wash the S.R.K. (dry reef rocks). I rinsed the Deep Coral Send sand because it had a lot of dust. And I didn't wash or boil anything in the freshwater either (by the way, this is not recommended).

Lee425

I see everything

Chad

Yes, Seryozha, you really messed up. Fortunately, no one from the press is listening, just throw anything into the aquarium and you'll be happy. What a disaster!

Brandon4517

Invite? Now

Jennifer

I have been throwing for more than ten years. And not into just a hundred aquariums. I have never boiled anything. That means I am a lucky person! By the way, when they launched the sea in the office, they also didn't boil anything.

Charles4157

Off-topic: everything and anything needs to be boiled, as well as when buying fish, invertebrates, corals - God forbid any nastiness gets in!

Mark7376

Off-topic. At least 4 hours. Preferably in an autoclave. Then the guarantee is 100%.

Pamela

First and foremost, professionally trained, and only then witty and happy due to the absence of problems in aquariums that are set up without thermal treatment of components.

Rita

Off-topic, we’ve moved on from this heat treatment. I appreciate your professionalism. Some Chunga-Changa was collecting stones, gathering sand, or cutting mangroves for freshwater (by the way, you don’t boil those either), and then we end up messing up the whole aquarium. Great! And when you come in from outside, do you wash your hands or just wipe them?

Debra6575

My friend, who in nature boils sand, stones, driftwood, and mangroves? It's interesting how fish live in such unsanitary conditions. And they even reproduce? Then fish are caught from these natural water bodies and sold to you.

Crystal4879

Off-topic. Well, did YOU compare? It's crazy. It's right in NATURE, without the human factor. And the packaging, and transportation, etc. And compared the living mangroves and those root systems that come to us, and the volumes of oceans and seas where everything is carried away, not the aquarium, into which, having shoved an unboiled piece of wood, the water will turn brown in two weeks.

Diana3118

Driftwood can (I emphasize - can, but it doesn't have to) tint the water. And what's so deadly about that? It's just that aesthetically not everyone likes it. How can unboiled sand, soil, or dry reef rocks harm the aquarium? Why subject them to heat treatment?

Matthew7977

And what, does anyone have the sense to collect sand on the shore where oil has spilled? For some reason, people strive to warm themselves on the sand by the sea in the summer. And nothing. They are alive. Can you provide a list of parasites that form (right out of the air or another substance) with references to reliable sources? That's where we should start! But keep in mind that you are not the ultimate truth. Any opinion not supported by reliable and verified facts remains just an opinion. And not always a correct one.

Stefanie9771

That's it, I've finished the discussion with you. No matter how many examples you provide, you'll still push your point, and the topic will balloon like a balloon. Here, there are only directors of earthquakes. Good luck in your endeavors.

Katie5500

Study the subject matter, and you will find happiness. Do not impose your speculations as the only correct approach. I did not ask for examples, but for references to reliable academic sources. You do not have them. Therefore, the discussion is considered unsuccessful. Any discussion presupposes the presence of systematic knowledge, a theoretical foundation, and reliable facts.

Jennifer

Off-topic. Thank you, Seryozha, you helped the interlocutor. Is she not a relative of our Anatoly?

Angela

Offtopic No. But my patronymic is Anatolyevna. What, am I not a good conversationalist? Forgive the old lady, I don't take things at face value. Terrible men in uniforms taught me to believe only in normative documentation, academic and scientific literature. And then, any fact needs to be scientifically justified to establish cause-and-effect relationships. Stories like "this is how it was for me" don't hold up. Because in some conditions it will be beneficial, while in others it will be harmful. And to consciously manage processes, one must know and understand their essence.

Jeremy3637

Offtopic I would like to see what remains of S.R.K. (dry reef stones) after it has been soaked in vinegar.

Sarah7284

REALLY.

Joshua9847

Finally, posts on the topic have started to appear.

Gabrielle5053

Why is it not recommended?

Debra8438

Off-topic, you picked the wrong lady to mess with; you're still a bit small against this shark. I apologize for such a statement.

Diana8604

Max, great job. Glad to hear it, go for it. I just want to say that I haven't attacked anyone and I don't want to, so there's no need to label who is a little fish and who is a shark. Post #33 left my opponents speechless, and there's nothing to counter it.

Brandon9634

1. I can assume that you meant the one who dropped by the topic. But the topic is not yours. That's why the interlocutors are not yours. 2. The question was asked specifically, and it would be unethical to answer on his behalf without his consent. If he deems it necessary, he will respond. So don't celebrate too soon.

Jamie3553

Are you enjoying our exchange? Maybe we should communicate on Skype, in line with the word - vis-à-vis. I have already stopped addressing you, but you keep bringing it up. Prepare dinner for your husband, give him some attention. You are in the "QUESTIONS???" topic, not "Discussion and argument with om." I agree that it is harmful and unnecessary to subject stones, soil, and other decorations to heat treatment. Are you satisfied?

Debra

My friend, you should not speak in such a tone not only to a woman but to anyone. This is not welcomed on the forum. First of all, it does not bring you honor as a man, and secondly, as Lyudmila Sviridova said through the words of Irina Muravyeva - do not teach me how to live, better help me financially.

Christopher4125

Off-topic. They've really blown this topic out of proportion! Is it really considered a crime to boil the soil one extra time, just brought in, for example, from a construction site?

Debra8438

No, of course not. But if you are still boiling, we are coming to you. This is a religious question. If you have time, boil it until it turns blue. But I don't think that having an expensive aquarium, you should use substrate from construction sites. I mean freshwater. And I won't even mention saltwater. Or have they started using coral rubble or aragonite sand at construction sites now? Moreover, the question in the first post was completely different.

Bridget

Well, this is probably a question about the feasibility of bottom filters. There are as many opinions as there are people! Not everyone has expensive aquariums. Some have substrate and regular granite chips.

Melinda2740

We lift our eyes up the page and read where we are: the section is called Marine Aquaristics. In a marine aquarium, granite rubble from construction won't work. You need to go to another section.

Laurie3842

Off-topic I agree! I'm not insisting on this!

Danielle8118

I've noticed that when someone writes in a certain topic, that topic will inevitably be closed by a moderator because it turns into a flood of messages. The topic can be closed because the question has been exhausted. And the topic starter doesn't ask any more questions.

Kevin

Any topic will turn into spam when such questions are asked. Why should we complicate a simple scheme: live rocks + aragonite sand into something unclear? One could also ask about tap water. Of course, tap water can be used, but in one well we have 170 ppm, and in another 2000. Is it a problem to buy at least 1-2 kg of live rocks and a 4 kg bag of live sand? Moreover, the concept of substrate for marine aquariums is not exactly kosher. If a sailor is experienced, he can make soup from an axe, but if there is no experience, it's better to follow a tried-and-true classic scheme.

Joshua448

What should I say to you, Seryozha?

Jason9385

So who is in a stupor?

Barbara8192

Off-topic Any method, just to grab attention... what kind of fierce hatred must one have for people!!! I just don't care...

David7773

Colleagues, keep yourselves together. I kindly ask you. I don't see anything wrong with the assumption. By the way, I'm not the only one named Anatolievna; my son is also named Anatoly.

Sherri1320

What is wrong with all of you????? This is no longer funny. A person asked a question, someone, as it seemed to someone, answered incorrectly... so answer as you see fit, as your experience allows... This concerns you the most. You joined in the mockery, and it does not reflect well on you as a moderator.

Gabriel

Here I am sitting and reading, thinking..... What does all of the above have to do with a MARINE AQUARIUM ?????? Not to mention whether to boil or not to boil..... NONSENSE.

John3142

DEAR, I don't care about your response, I care about the actions of the topic starter regarding... please leave me alone.

Kenneth7210

A person giving authoritative advice like that must be ready for anything. That's exactly what I did. I have every right to do so as an ordinary forum member. My moderation here has nothing to do with it. I did not use any moderation tools.

Julie4738

I will respond to the topic starter once again. But one small note: a small live rock (live stones) wouldn't hurt in terms of biological development in the aquarium. This refers to the culture not only of bacteria but also of various bugs, worms, and other living creatures.

Karen1649

I am closing the topic as it has lost its relevance; everyone has expressed their opinions.
