I succeeded too. When Alik started working with the sea, I shared my experience with him... There weren't even any books yet, and I already had a reef aquarium running without cyano, dinos, or algae... Everything is correct, time goes on, everything changes... only the laws of nature remain, they are eternal... If the aquarium on the "alternative system" for some reason "didn't work," it means that something was missed, not worked out, or not thought through in that system... Please check my profile, I'm not bragging, but you can't see the lower levels there. Although I have almost no regeneration systems... The photo quality on page 1 is terrible, but I apologize, I'm not a great photographer...

John3432

With all due respect, I do not consider your system to be "alternative." In my opinion, it is a normal classic one. You have live rocks, you have flow, you have foam. What is the alternative?

Tanner

Well, it's your right... But I think... My skimmer has been working in aeration mode for a long time, so let's consider it as if it's not there. There's just powerful aeration. And live rocks and currents, in my opinion, are also present in nature... By the way, there is a small pump compartment-refugium where I collect detritus once a year. Oh yes, and there's an aerobic filter too. That's it.

James

How is that? I think all skimmers work like that; their principle of operation is to circulate air bubbles...

John3432

No... A skimmer is a protein collector of a corresponding design, or as it is commonly called, a flotation device, a device that operates on the principle of bubble filtration. An aerator, on the other hand, is simply a silicone air hose with a wooden or titanium diffuser at the end, which can work in a so-called loop or just in a submerged state at a specified depth, in any part of the aquarium or sump.

Jill1815

Read the quote you wrote and reread what you wrote. Do you see the difference? You have a good classic-type aquarium with minimal equipment costs: stone, current, skimmer. Where is the alternative aquarium? I can't see it at all.

Linda

I answered your question, and you didn't understand. Let it be so. You are interested in what this unclear aeration system is? Here is its photo. It is 55 cm long; this is the entire aquarium cleaning system and a mini skimmer for kids, and all of this is for 400 liters of water. There were no lower levels, and there are none now; everything is crystal clear without any suspensions. I clean the glass in a regular manner. In this aquarium, there are a butterfly fish up to 20 cm and a fox of the same size, two strombus snails, and they eat a lot, respectively. I haven't added any bacteria and I don't plan to. The live rocks (J.K.) are currently minimal, and the sand is live from the old aquarium that was transferred. Now I will ask a question. What cleans and helps maintain this system in such a condition?

Danny

He said that there will be no new book - it's too much trouble.

Gregory9432

Honestly, I didn't understand. The question is not about who uses what equipment; I also have a mini skimmer and I use it too. The question is about an alternative system! For example, using plastic instead of live rocks, the absence of a skimmer as such, using chemicals to clean the water from organics, etc. I had an aquarium of about 60 liters, and there, besides 2 kg of live rock and 3-4 dry reef rocks, there was nothing else. The only equipment was a New Jet 700 pump. The soft corals thrived and bloomed, the ocellaris were spawning, etc. BUT this is still classic, not an alternative.

Nicole7122

Max, sorry... move our debate to a new topic, maybe someone else will express their opinion. I already mentioned above the opinion of the AUTHOR of this book regarding what is written there... Time passes and everything changes, yet you quote a book that the author himself considers outdated, while he has great respect for it. But it is useful when a person has no experience at all, and then they need to think for themselves.

James4342

Better than any remover with lower algae, lighting with a greater part of the blue spectrum can handle it, as well as the presence of animals that show gastronomic interest in them: the algae-eating dogfish, mollusks, especially turban snails, strombus on the sand, as well as gammarus and polychaete worms, which are particularly active at night.

Danielle

For 400 liters, it's not very much. The question is, what kind of light is in this aquarium? And I understand that there are no fish in it? For example, I primarily mean a reef aquarium. A fish aquarium and a reef are two very different things...

Beth3383

I don't have any clean fish, this aquarium will also be fully filled with a combined reef by spring, just like the nearby 700L. Maybe not 100%. This aquarium has a few invertebrates. But there is one green sarcophyton with a cap diameter of 35-40 cm, a second beige sarcophyton with a cap of 25 cm, a colony of white xenia the size of a palm, not counting small frags, two colonies of rodactis, two bushes of gorgonia 15 cm and 10 cm, two green lobophytum of 5-8 cm each, and a bush of cladophora 15 cm. There is a palm-sized rock with about five different mushrooms on it. Lighting consists of 7 lamps. T5, Aqua Medic Reef White 54W, 15000 K, 115 cm. 2 pcs. T5, Aqua Medic Reef Blue 54W, 115 cm. 5 pcs.

Emma

Unfortunately, there were no decent photos found on the work computer. But something like this... The second photo is especially for Max (remember I told you about the color?). Also, all the corals were grown from small frags.

Jasmine

My aquarium differs from your ex's, and I won't repeat myself, which is why I consider it an alternative approach. Yes, the idea is not new, so what's next, should we learn French? The fact that a marine aquarium is already in your distant past, and that someone saw something in it once, is meaningless. A sailor without a ship is no longer a sailor, just a landlubber... As for filtration, I can't please others with an aerator because I don't have one. And I don't see the need for it.

Joshua9847

No, one small (200 liters) has already been launched, just for fun, it's a kind of portable version. It's still too early to show off, just two months in. There will be more after the repairs. So it's not all that bad. But I would like to talk about alternative systems. I read that in the Netherlands, for example, they use plastic and ceramics instead of live rock in aquariums. Maybe someone knows what this is about?

Jeffrey

200 liters is too little... I once started with that and felt discomfort until I switched to 550... then discomfort again... I almost set up a ton tank, then discomfort again, I needed to add fish no matter what... now there's discomfort again, I want to add some decent fish... I don't like the light, and again discomfort, apparently that's what they are, alternatives. So let's move forward... Look at Porsche, he also set up an alternative recently... took off the old tank, putting in a ton tank... also, still figuring things out with the new aquarium, happy... how else? Of course, it can be done without alternatives, life would be calmer... but for us sailors, that kind of life is not needed at all...

James8887

I searched on Google for such Netherlands... I can only say that this is somewhat in the same vein as a diver with a little box... And I couldn't bring myself to provide links. It's like a guide for kindergarten... And in my opinion, plastic and the same ceramics can replace natural reef live stones!?

William1830

I read about it somewhere too, but it's hard to remember and find. They can, but we can't understand it. Here in Chester, post 7, or our "alternative," it can be understood here.

Hannah

First, I would like to understand what you want to achieve with this alternative. 1. Conduct an experiment? 2. Find a cheaper substitute for live rocks? 3. Make sure that live rocks are just a field for algae where fish graze? 4. ? P.S. I read about the EcoSystem™ Method a long time ago. Everything is good, but I fear one thing - if the electricity goes out, it will be the end of everything. I wonder why they applied it to Caulerpa and not to Chaetomorpha?

Danielle9144

It's true, it could be a disaster, but they definitely have backup power supplies just in case. I can't access the website (for some unknown reason) of an amazing aquarium with this Ecosystem Method...

Melissa

Off-topic. You presented a harsh alternative, it sends shivers down my spine... but at least it’s alive...

Eric5208

I, for example, don't want anything, I'm just curious. Maybe someone came up with something interesting.

Rachael

Well, miracles don't happen either; there are lower beings on the glasses too.

Nancy758

This one?

Bethany

It's interesting to try it myself... As I see it (I'll be brief), there are simple methods for maintaining a marine aquarium. However, they shouldn't be available to the public yet. Otherwise, there will be no incentive for businesses to engage in this market. What’s happening with the freshwater business now? It's in a bad state. I visited pet stores and markets - prices are ridiculously low. As a result, the number of sellers has decreased by tenfold. There’s little product and no choice. The only alternative can be observed in the real sea. Understanding how everything works there, what can be replaced, what is unnecessary, and what can be transferred to the aquarium.

Mario

There are no photos. I have some. You can read here too.

Curtis9143

No, not those links... There, in the one that doesn't open, there are photos of the English aquarium based on "miracle mud," I think it's Dan Plotkin, but right now I can't access that site. And the aquarium is awesome. I've tried to get in but it's been a dead end. Seriously, I don't really like this version of AS due to its structure; I've even heard about issues related to it.

Ronald5720

And where are they not? The question is only about the quantity... Sometimes people even raise the alarm about their wild growth and can't do anything for years... I have one tiny stone, and on it, there is constantly a dark red cyan spot the size of five kopecks... It's been there for many months. Nowhere else is there any, but on this stone, there is... so think and guess what kind of wonders these are...

Angela

how much longer can people edit posts, it's already annoying

Laura7633

Absolutely correct, well-thought-out approach to working with a marine reef aquarium, especially when there is an opportunity to observe and transfer "details" from tropical seas, but if that's a challenge, our Black Sea will do just fine too.

Wanda666

Are you looking for this website about the ecosystem by any chance?

Timothy

Wow... but the site is not the one, although this one also attracts attention. Thank you.

Julia

What are these new technologies?

Destiny

Let's clarify the question. What is meant by an alternative system? Light, flow, filtration, or? By the way, I don't see anything alternative so far, just an aquarium with filtration from the biology side.

Michelle

Probably all three components. Any closed system requires filtration. But are there methods different from the commonly accepted ones today (not referring to nonsense)? For me, for example, it is unclear how porous ceramics or plastic differ from S.R.C. (dry reef rocks), for instance? How can we make the setup and maintenance of aquariums simple and quick?

Diana8604

The question is not that. The essence is what is so alternative in Anatoly's system? Or do you not have a skimmer and sump? Or are there no flow pumps? I have only used bacteria once during a restart. And overall, I believe that today, besides vodka, nothing should be added to the aquarium. If you have been to Mishenko (and I think you have), then you have already seen all that "alternative" he talks about, and it's not always good. Whether a sump is present or absent in the system does not matter at all, as it is just a container for equipment.

Teresa

WHERE ARE THE ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS HERE?

David953

You still don't understand about Anatoly? THEY ARE NOT HERE.

Shawn

I didn't see the word "alternative" in the post, and I only responded to one phrase from it. I have both a sump and a filter and flow pumps. I have the classic setup. It's too early for me to look for alternatives - I don't have enough knowledge. Artem certainly had one, but I didn't see anything special. Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right direction.

Nancy

Well, I'm talking about the same thing (meaning nothing special, but he definitely had an air filter). And you probably know who he serves...

Rodney7316

I hesitate to ask, but who is the teacher?

April3499

I designed the aquarium myself. I consulted with Anatoly and Alexey on the selection of equipment. I admit, I've also been pouring vodka for a while now.

Ryan2281

With all due respect, do you hear anyone other than yourself? You listed all the conditions for creating a CLASSICAL system! At least as of today. I then have a similar alternative; everything from the reef is lying in the aquarium. If this is an alternative for you, then what is NOT an ALTERNATIVE??? I was being sarcastic. I read the post above. What I meant was, what alternative thing did this teach you in this case?

Mark

I think it's in "Fishka," but I haven't been there for a long time, and I didn't pay attention to the M.A. (marine aquarium) before.

Elizabeth1221

Here, I probably need to ask the question - did I set a goal to do something alternative? I talked about my aquarium and how it is arranged, but I decided to go with the classic approach.

Chris

Right there. That was where an alternative system existed at one time. The aquarium had regular quartz sand, tap water, unclear lighting, etc.

Joe

Colleagues, it is probably possible to create an aquarium WITHOUT everything. Just the aquarium, live rocks, and flow pumps. But... in volumes of more than 5 tons. In "normal" volumes, only part can be made alternative. For example, mud in the sump instead of algae, etc.

Johnny

Well, it's like an interrogation!! The books are outdated, there are no alternatives, everything is wrong, and everything is not as it should be. Who is stopping you from thinking that this is not an alternative system? No one! Think however your mind suggests to you... And this is nonsense again... I have already talked about the classical system, what it represents, and how people struggle with it after launching. Some people really love to twist the facts to their advantage. E.K., have you ever launched an aquarium using the method I described in post 50? 100 points ahead - you haven't!

Nicole

I remember that pool. There was also some kind of foam wheel spinning there.

Andrew7823

Here is an alternative...

Jeffrey2277

Dear lovers of marine aquaristics, delve into the topic. What is an alternative system? What does everyone think? And not such a question, does anyone have an alternative system? Maybe someone can express their thoughts on what an alternative system is and how it works?

Jill9137

+100

Jeffrey6189

Well, initially she didn't seem to intend to do that.

Hunter1471

A quote that does not reflect the truth, forced in its essence... but monologues are a good thing. Especially when they are relevant. Thanks to them, a conclusion can be drawn. And it is this: EcoSystems exist, and this is a fact that cannot be avoided.

Anthony4281

There may be objections regarding the nitrogen cycle. Yes, the less we change the water and the higher the fish stocking density, the more important it is to initiate the nitrogen cycle. But! Nitrates are the peak of the nitrogen cycle. And again, there are three options: water change, skimmer, algae scrubber. For fish and soft corals. P.S. By the term "bacteria," I meant not only those responsible for the nitrogen cycle but also, I dare say, those that consume cyanobacteria.

Luis3725

More precisely, on the analogy of a freshwater channel, there will be a current, and all the dirt with organic matter will be carried away. This is exactly what we are doing, but instead of draining the water into the sewage system (into the depths of the sea, where it will become silt - oil), we are creating a closed loop with water purification using algae, foamers, and other devices.

Christopher7213

That's correct what you said. However, regarding the reef from a height, there is an opinion: what about in the lagoons, splash zones? There are no currents there, although in some lagoons the tidal wave can displace some water into the sea, but there are many species of both soft and hard corals, and the water there differs in various parameters compared to the sea itself.

Christopher1252

Methods 2 and 3 are not self-sufficient; they can only work together. The skimmer cleans the water of undissolved organic matter and oxidizes complex organic compounds into nitrates and phosphates, while algae absorb these nitrates and phosphates. Alternative devices that perform the same functions can replace the algae scrubber and skimmer.

Melissa3200

If fresh water from the sea does not flow into the lagoon, the lagoon will dry up under the scorching rays of the sun. There are no streams, geysers, or rain there. Well, in the Red Sea, that's for sure.

Stacy6866

Offtopic Phew.... finally, the conversation on the subject we've been waiting for has begun... couldn't this have been addressed right away in the topic... instead of messing around without a point...? But this is not directed at you...

William5838

There is a current. The so-called coastal current is quite capable of pulling a person away. It is formed by the waves pushing onto the shore. The stronger the wave, the stronger the current, and there are always waves at sea. Moreover, for corals in the lagoon, tides are sufficient—100% water replacement twice a day.

Sara4035

Who has tried this method? The classic approach is like for most people, not the other way around. In a simple aquarium, nothing will survive just on water changes, or you need to change the water every day in large volumes. At the same time, one must not forget that you can't just dissolve salt and pour it in. It takes time to prepare the necessary solution. I really want to see a person who will pour about a hundred liters of seawater down the toilet every day. And is this the classic method of maintaining a marine aquarium?

Susan1358

Well, why not. Once a year, a National Disaster for Egypt.

Yvette209

Many small aquariums are maintained this way. If needed, I can search for links to successful maintenance of marine aquariums (M.A.) with a volume of 10-20 liters exclusively through water changes. By the way, I think there is such a small aquarium available. It is clear that this method is not suitable for 100, 200, 400 liters or more.

Michelle

Well, there you go. Everything was going so well and again. alternative devices

Debra

This time it's ALTERNATIVE. Instead of a skimmer, you can install... I forgot what it's called, where oxygen is supplied instead of air. Instead of an algae scrubber, they use filters. By the way, here's an attempt to create an alternative system - just a filter, without an algae scrubber and skimmer:

Brianna

Based on what I've read... I can say it in just one phrase! And this phrase could be decisive for many, as it has already become a CATCHPHRASE!!!

Mariah

Perhaps I haven't fully grasped the simplicity of Sber's idea, but I adhere to the principle that any endeavor can be taken to absurdity if one loses the sense of proportion. I don't want to be a "slave to the lamp."

Kendra2262

You don't need to look for anything, I also had a 40-liter one. But first, there are live rocks (J.K.) and everything else present, and second, the volume is small. Try to maintain 500 liters. Now we just need to decide... whose?

Nicholas2252

To be honest, I didn't understand who it was addressed to. If it was to me, then I have never quoted this book. I respect the authors and consider them very competent people. I didn't suggest throwing it in the trash. I only quoted the words of A. that he himself spoke, and I wasn't the only one who heard those words, which I confirmed here. The essence was that a considerable amount of time passed after the book was written. During that time, many new ideas and technologies emerged in the content of marine aquariums, something like that.

Katie4842

Off-topic I pointed this out for Anatoly.

Sharon

Well, that's quite clear. "Rifovy Aquarium" is the most popular (if not the only) Russian-language book on this topic, and not many people read in English or other languages.

Joseph2576

Hmm... I read somewhere that there is a whole aquarium (about 500 tons) on the Caribbean coast that operates on water exchanges. They pump water from the ocean through filters and discharge the used water back into it.

Tara2761

We seem to have gotten caught up in chatter. ................ So, despite the multitude of conflicting views and a lot of emotions, the main types of reef aquarium systems can already be distinguished: 1. Maintenance with replacement water (mini tanks up to 50 liters). 2. Maintenance in a closed (rare water changes not counted) cycle with water purification. a) sump + algae scrubber + protein skimmer. b) large sump + algae scrubber 50% of the aquarium volume. ................ Feel free to suggest your options.

Johnny

Hmm.... The blue spectrum is 400-500 nm. Absorption spectra of algae: A - Ulva (green algae) B - Coilodesme (brown algae) C - Delesseria (red algae) D - Chlorella (green algae) As can be seen from the figure, ALL algae absorb well in the blue part of the spectrum, which is actually the basis of freshwater aquaristics - if you install lamps with a predominance of the blue part of the spectrum, lower plants will thrive. The other thing is that zooxanthellae will also thrive and start competing with the lower plants.

Debra6575

I suggest you take a look at an interesting article. Water Changes in Reef Aquaria. Download here. - Nothing comes from nothing. But if you collect some live water from the sea, it won't harm the sea. This is where one should rejoice. After all, this is free and natural food for fish and invertebrates. But if a food chain cannot be established, one has to give up the lower forms.

Joseph1346

I agree. Predatory plundering of nature is one thing, while rational use is another. Those who have been to Egypt have seen how many reefs they have destroyed to create beaches along the coast, and now they impose fines for broken coral. In our aquaristics, we will cause less harm in 1000 years than tourists do in a season! When I started my 60-liter tank, I poured in water from the Azov Sea, and I don't think the sea has become shallower because of that.

Christine864

If part of the money from tourists is invested in fish and coral breeding, and the construction of coral farms, it would be quite good and beneficial. We are gradually moving to off-topic. So, it turns out there are no more alternatives?

Craig7302

Not to pay attention. The topic is interesting. It's the first time I've seen someone take on the challenge of trying to bring some order to all these systems and their varieties.

Richard2180

I would suggest, if anyone is interested, to write topics: 1. How I grew a magnificent Acropora (Sarcophyton, Euphyllia, Acanthastrea) 2. How I got rid of planarians, cyano, aiptasia. 3. How I manage to keep a marine aquarium without lower algae. And so on.

Brandy

In any aquarium, all of this is present, to a greater or lesser extent. Today it may not be an issue, but tomorrow it could escalate to the point where you won't know what to do. Unfortunately, on this forum, there is often pointless bickering. Mostly, adults do not know how to communicate properly with each other. Everything boils down to some disputes that have nothing to do with the main topic. They only see and listen to themselves. Instead of learning and sharing experiences, they throw mud at each other. All of this evokes a feeling of disgust.

Marie5735

Let's talk about something good! Here I'm attaching a photo. It's not from an aquarium, but from the sea. I didn't take it; it's a gift for me.

Dennis

NONSENSE It's better to put vodka in the aquarium only in case of an emergency. It's not very good for biology.

Cynthia

The classic system we have is the Berlin one, i.e. live rocks + skimmer. Who has NO skimmer in their aquarium at all? Who has NO live rocks in their aquarium at all? Minimemo doesn't count. Newly launched ones also. Alternative systems are these: 1. There are live rocks, but no skimmer. All filtration is done on coral gravel. 2. An interesting project, the idea of removing waste products using adsorbents. 3. The idea is interesting; partial use of Black Sea live rocks has been tested.

Alicia5489

Unfortunately, Vadim abandoned the project almost before it started.

Joseph2576

Can you provide specifics on how vodka (read C2H5OH) affects aquarium biology? Or a link to information? Thank you in advance!

Matthew1280

it may be overly emotional, but it is generally true.

Sandra7004

It seems to me that we currently have neither purely technological systems (without live rocks at all, if I understood correctly) nor purely alternative systems (only live rocks). Anyone with an aquarium has at least 20-30% live rocks. Of course, I would like 100%, but... it's quite expensive. If we consider alternative systems as they are described in "RA," then you are absolutely right to call systems based on 100% live rocks + 100% "live" seawater (with added salt to the norm) alternative.

Elizabeth

A request to all who have strayed from the topic to return to it.

Kendra2262

, answers in op. Thank you for your support.

Alyssa1438

Offtopic We seem to have a second Zhirinovsky on our forum.

Brent8919

Less spam, gentlemen!

Kimberly

For now, we consider the question theoretical for everyone, but still. We buy S.R.C. (dry reef rocks). We arrive at the sea, tie the S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) to a string, and throw it into the sea near the reef without touching the L.R.C., only allowing it to be washed by seawater. After what time will it become Alive? (Or will it not?) This is the first question for now. After the answer, there will be two more.

Marie5735

It will happen very soon, in 2 to 3 months. There are farms where this is done specifically.

Kenneth2761

There may be other opinions? Or maybe there are objections regarding the deadlines? Will it liven up a bit in a week? This leads to a second question - are the necessary (and not so necessary) living organisms, various bacteria, present in the seawater of the coral reef?

Nicole263

In the USA, all live rock that is sold is made this way. And it's good if the base was made of dry reef rock; more often, a cement imitation of dry reef rock is used. Actually, it's 99% about the rocks. Bacterial colonies prefer a sedentary lifestyle.

David953

The second seems to contradict the first... How then will the bacteria crawl from the J.K. (live rocks) to the S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) and bring it to life? I have a hypothesis that water is a carrier of bacteria and everything small for colonizing the sea. Corals also reproduce similarly, as do fish and snails. By the way, I read on Aqua Logo that some aquarists there use Natural Sea Live Water for water changes. It was available for sale at the Aquaristics Center in Kyiv. Has anyone used it? Is there anything alive in it?

Breanna9982

Due to that same 1% that is in the water. It will settle on the S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) and create new colonies there.

Hunter1471

Three years ago, I poured seawater from a canister into a new aquarium at startup, and besides that, I added some granules, supposedly bacteria... I have a question: how can one understand if there is anything alive in all of this without examining the same water under a microscope?

Jacob4800

In general, the conclusions are obvious - a successful marine aquarium can only start with live seawater. Over time, bacteria will colonize the rocks, sand, and walls of the aquarium. Further maintenance can follow any scheme and depends on the whims of the inhabitants. Naturally, using good live rocks, live sand, and water from a successful marine aquarium will lead to a much faster and more reliable startup. There are two possible options: one is using a microscope, and the other is by comparison. Fill two mini aquariums with different water, one live and the other regular. Then conduct tests and observe the appearance. Dino, cyano...

Ryan

No, that's not correct. Strange as it may seem, all the necessary bacteria live in the air.

Gabriel

No, that's not the case. For deceiving a customer, you can get a prison sentence in the USA. If it says J.K. (live stones), then it will be J.K. (live stones) obtained from nature within the quota, and the permit number will be indicated, or it will be farm-raised SCR. SCR that goes on sale is usually already cooked, cream-white in color; it can slightly stain your hands, but it is 100% free of nitrates and phosphates.

Hannah

I won't argue. I was just reading an article about how they make live rocks from artificial dry reef rocks. They probably sell it under the name "Artificial Live Rocks," but the name isn't the point; it's that you can "revive" dry reef rocks and even regular limestone. That's exactly what I meant.

Chelsea567

Well, I thought so... but usually, when starting aquariums, marine aquarium enthusiasts don't conduct research. I think those who set up and maintain aquariums could do it and then compare the results... otherwise, it's just talk...

Michele

Where does such intriguing information come from? So, there are no bacteria in the water and on the live rocks? And in the sand as well? Then who ensures the nitrate cycle?

Gene1948

Something similar was in the cartoon: "Wings... legs... the main thing is the tail!"

Melissa3200

It should be understood that "living" water is self-deception.

Laura3673

It means that bacteria from the air can enter the water. And it's not necessary to specifically introduce them to start, that is, in principle, one can start with bacteria from the air. Many have dealt with freshwater aquariums, but how many actually added various supplements during the startup? By the way, the bacteria living in freshwater are not different from those living in saltwater.

Tracy

Maybe this hasn't been discussed yet?

Amy5070

"Live" water makes sense only if the hydrobionts are taken from the same aquarium - it is easier for them to acclimatize to the chemical composition of the water. Otherwise, "live" water is pure deception.

Stephanie3084

By the way, about terminology. I am currently reading the description of Rey Ospina's aquarium and came across a very precise formulation:

William1830

I apologize, but the Airif method is already a patented method of Coral Zeuch, or rather a brand that is popular among many foreign aquarists. The guys didn't just put together a zeolite reactor with a bunch of products. I'm sure that before going on sale, all of this was thoroughly tested by the Germans and showed excellent results; otherwise, it wouldn't have become so popular so quickly. So, there is nothing dangerous here if everything is done according to the instructions, and I am confident that if someone wants to achieve results like those in the videos and photos from Zeuch, they should follow it.

David4968

The question is why systems with natural filtration are only abundant in LPS and soft corals, with a small amount of fish. Does this method only work under such conditions?

Larry9400

Off-topic. I do not wish to engage in a dispute with you, as I find it pointless. I wrote about my aquarium, and you are talking to me about the diets of forum participants. I mentioned them only because without the help of these people, it is uncertain when I would have had my M.A. And whether I would have had it at all... And what "bonuses" are you even talking about? For me, the most important thing is the health and beauty of my aquarium! The knowledge of the aforementioned individuals has served as a solid foundation. I wrote this for a reason. Because here, as they say, "the result is evident." And this result is at my home, bringing joy to me and all my loved ones.

Aren't you tired? You're trying to provoke a scandal, but no one will support you; it's just laughable. Why do you keep mentioning me everywhere? Am I haunting your dreams at night? I'm silent because I have nothing to say to you; it's pointless and I have no desire at all, or are you waiting for a ban from me? I strongly ask you to delete your posts. Otherwise, there will be other actions in accordance with the forum rules.

Well, let's finish here.
