You can read here
If you need anything, message me or call, I will help as much as I can
1) You will need an osmosis system for water treatment.
2) You also need to buy a couple more circulation pumps.
3) 7 kg of salt is just enough - you will need more later.
Heather
The first thing that came to mind is to buy a food-grade bucket. I forgot about it - there was nowhere to mix the salt, and they seem to put the flow pump in from the start. In general, read everything here in a row (well, and) I read for about six months, and the main questions resolve themselves. I even read all sorts of arguments and off-topic discussions; marine aquaristics is really interesting.
Katherine
What do you recommend?
That's clear.
Overall, you did a great job.
Andrea6761
Thank you for this, such little things always leave you puzzled; you buy equipment worth thousands, and during the launch, all sorts of thoughtless details start to slow you down.
Selena4467
you can take a couple of them or
Travis572
also buy this
Derek7322
Well, we need at least these tests to start:
1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
Eric8832
I took this flask for the osmosis + also take another flask for ion exchange resins.
Reginald5073
Which one?
Brent8919
like this
Amber9312
Odessa, did you install additional lighting?
Michelle5859
I don't think it's worth spending money on various floats. You need to measure at 25 degrees. Just get a refractometer with temperature compensation. I think it's sold here on the forum.
Nicole7268
I found it. They also sell a TDS meter there, a very useful device.
James4342
No, I still have the stock lighting, which is generally sufficient for soft corals, some LPS, and even "sturdy" SPS (small-polyped corals). It also works fine for fish. What kind of lighting did you get: there are either 2 PL lamps of 24 W each, plus a "moon" light, or one metal halide lamp.
Jessica8898
Odessa, yes, I have only paid for it so far, I haven't received it yet, I don't know what's inside, I think it's the standard 2 lamps, the moon...
Laura4892
How many kilograms of sand? 10 kg will be enough.
Jeffrey
It is written that the package contains 9 kg.
Kristen2246
probably like this
Danielle
Well, yes, NATURES OCEAN, and the salt is Red Sea Coral Pro Salt.
Kevin3114
I use such a one.
Dana4701
Regular salt. I might switch to it later.
Frank7213
After yesterday's advice, I decided to put it into practice. I started with tests. I couldn't find everything I needed in the stores in Donetsk, so I looked online and found tests from JBL, which I ordered and paid for. The search for pumps also led to nothing. I wanted to order models up to 3000 l/h, but there are none available; only significantly larger or smaller ones. I'm not really inclined towards Chinese products, even though the aquarium is Chinese. Well, the pumps can wait. It seems I've also resolved the issue with live rocks. But I have a question! Is it necessary to have live rock rubble in the filter if there will be a reef? Yes, I bought a bucket!
Gregory9432
I can give the point, but it's Sun-Sun. No, I don't think they will wait.
Cheyenne2747
I don't even have an aquarium, but if it's not too much trouble, please send me the specs again; they seem really big, about 10 cm and 7 in diameter.
Larry9400
In terms of size (as well as design and everything else) - an analogue of Corralia. It is clearly copied. The topic is about pumps:
Sarah7284
I looked at the topic, it's interesting in terms of pricing policy, but there is no product.
Michelle1505
I wrote to the author of the topic, he constantly delivers. I did just that. Yesterday I received two more pumps.
Julie
What are the impressions of these pumps? Are they on suction cups or magnets?
Emily3506
The live rock (J.K.) will never hurt, even if there is no reef, although in principle any marine aquarium is a kind of reef. In the first compartment, there is a huge sponge that I cut down to 1/4 of its original size; it is so large that it is generally unnecessary. In the second compartment, there is a foam filter, in the third, bio balls, and I also threw away 4 bags with filler, completely filling the third compartment with live rock (J.K.). The fourth compartment contains a heater and a return pump. As an option, you can create an algae scrubber in the third compartment; for this, you need to buy a 35 cm immersion lamp, I think.
Steven757
So far, positive. And my colleagues say it's indestructible. It has both options. I have the one with suction cups (I like it more).
Emily3506
Take pumps like these, they are also Boyu - I've been using them for six months - no complaints.
Pump Boyu Wave Maker WM-101.
Michelle13
and how much fit in there, approximately.
Destiny
I don't know.....................about 3 kg, in short, you have 1 and 3 compartments at your disposal - you can fill them with coral crumbs.
Susan1358
What? I have some devices with suction cups, and usually after a year they start to slide.
Chelsea
Yeah, who knows... I like them. And I can replace the suction cups with silicone ones if needed; those don't slide.
Elizabeth
Area 50x50, layer height 5 cm. 5 kg of debris was used.
Tara2761
there's a smaller compartment, I think it will need 2 or 3 kg
Kimberly2102
where was the aquarium ordered?
Andrea9320
In Kyiv.
Shawn
Wow! The transportation will be quite expensive. Why not in Donetsk? We have our own specialists just as good. Besides, Konstantinovka is nearby.
Christopher1774
How much experience do they need for this volume?
Destiny
When you're ready to launch, come over, and I'll gather some algae for the algae tank.
Brian7092
I will definitely do it as soon as I figure out how to set it up.
Jacob7201
Then come to see it "in person."
Robert
Okay! I'll get the aquarium, see what can be done, what improvements can be made, and I'll drop by for a consultation. We also need to add some lighting there.
Jeanne
Two pieces will be enough.
Nicole2404
Why? You don't even know what kind of cap you have - maybe there's already one MG lamp in there, and that would be enough for you.
Anne
I use this product, and it works very well in the aquarium for six months. I am very satisfied with the use of Chemi Pure Elite.
Joe
Odessa, I already know, the usual ones with MG are very expensive for each of their presidents.
James5103
You should also consider that the aquarium lid is closed and in the summer the water in the aquarium (if there is no air conditioning in the room) heats up to +31 and above, which is fatal for all the living creatures. There are coolers for these aquariums, but I didn't buy one for myself; in the summer, I would open the lid and cool it with a fan plus air conditioning in the room. The fans in the lid do blow out hot air, but that's clearly not enough.
Danielle
I feel cool.
Karen
120 W (PL) - nothing was heating up. After lunch, sunlight hits half of the aquarium. The air conditioner in the room was turned on during hot days.
Heather6148
and don't forget to buy this
Chad9037
3000 l/h, and two of them? That will be a storm. I have a Vortec 10, working in lagoon mode, with the power set to 3 out of 12. Sometimes I set it to wave mode, with the power at 8 out of 12. It's cool, but it blows the sand a bit. However, the waves are real—both on the surface and on the bottom, the corals move in sync with the wave.
Sydney
I can sell it, I have an extra (new one).
Aaron
We need to decide what to do: either fill the section with J.K. (live rocks) or create an algae scrubber.
Kathryn514
Yes, I took a ready-made system, I couldn't find one with us.
Cynthia6578
Vortex 10 is just right in this system! Sometimes it's even too much, that's true. A pump is definitely no longer needed - it's better to buy live rocks.
Whitney
Here is everything about the light modification in the Battle 550.
Patricia1746
Good jar, I liked it.
Amber
Today I received the aquarium, sand, and salt. Thanks to Alex P for the promptness. What can I say about Boyu, the quality is top-notch; if someone told me it was German, I would believe it. So far, my wife is quietly delighted—she liked it, especially the moon. How it will perform during operation will be shown by time. The rest of the small items will arrive next week. In principle, I could have set it up for the weekend, but I noticed one mistake on my part: none of the available cabinets fit. I'm sitting here scratching my freshly trimmed neck and wondering where to get one. What a predicament.
Jonathan6173
FOR MY AQUARIUM, THE CABINET WAS MADE BY THE SAME AQUATICS. They made the cabinet for me a week or two later than I bought the aquarium. Then I just placed the cabinet next to it, transferred the tank with water and sand, and we (two of us) moved the cabinet with the aquarium. Nothing complicated, just had to drain some water.
Joshua448
I understood that I would have to work in Aquatica my whole life. If it's not too much trouble, please send me the deadlines and prices in a private message.
Tracy4603
I say that BOYU is a very good quality aquarium for CHINA; after 2 years of use, there hasn't been a single scratch on the glass, the glass quality is excellent, and why didn't you order the matching cabinet with it right away?
When you start filling the water, don't forget to take the mobile phone out of the aquarium.
Michelle9986
When I ordered, I had no idea about their existence. And the mobile... how many of them I sank in the sea, sigh...
Brandy1134
So just order it, the cabinet is quite normal and will arrive faster than making it to order.
And I will say that I peeled off that pink sticker.
Sharon
I know you, Odessans. You leave the plastic wrap on the seats of new cars for a year. But seriously, I will take it off. I will decide about the stand on Monday. I'm tired of fighting with Nova Poshta today. Better tell me, when salting, should I fill the aquarium completely with the compartments included? And how much should I fill, 2/3 of the volume?
Lee
I also use red sea salt, though the regular kind, and I like it; it works well for fish and soft foods as well, and it's economical in price. In any case, successful launch!
Tracey
Thank you, I've read a lot about these volumes, and it got me a bit scared.
Shawn
Thank you!!! You lifted my spirits.
Thomas1044
Just pour it into the aquarium, the water will flow into the compartments by itself. First, rinse all these Chinese fillers in plain water, and then place them in the compartments.
Laura3673
There is a thin plastic wall between the main chamber and the sump. I also poured directly into the main compartment, but when I filled it up to the neck, I saw how much the partition bent... I would pour into the sump and the display at the same time.
William
I don't think I will use them. I have Eheim fillers and charcoal left. And I'll throw in some J.C. (live rocks).
Sydney
So I read that first you need to fill it to 3/4 and dissolve salt at a rate of 37g/liter, let it settle for a week under aeration, and then add more saturated salt at 55-70g/liter to reach the full volume. In this case, the sections will start to fill up last.
Stephanie3084
Where did YOU read that? Well, I can believe 36g/liter, but 55-70g/liter? You decided to salt the fish.
Alicia5489
So who does what for whom?
Tammy2040
item 6 and item 7
Kimberly2102
It's nonsense, dissolve 36-37 g per liter of water for the entire volume of the aquarium to achieve 1.025-1.027, and you will be happy.
Colin1418
I have never encountered such nonsense. It is correct to say that you need to dissolve as much as is written on the bucket, usually 33-36 grams per liter, to end up with 1.024-1.025, and you still need to measure with a hydrometer.
Michael826
the same eggs, just in profile
Laura3673
I wasn't really planning to deviate from the instructions, but the link to the article above somehow threw me off balance.
The instructions are on the bucket...
Steven
Ten years ago, during another visit to the Red Sea basin, I acquired the book by M. Spiegel - Fishes of the Red Sea. I took it to tell the cadets about the dangerous marine animals inhabiting this basin, and now I think it will be useful for selecting inhabitants for the aquarium.
Gregory
Good evening, personally I wouldn't rely on such "pop" literature bought in Egypt; for me, such literature is used not as a guide to action, but rather to see what can be found there, at best!
Joseph9203
I agree, it's just for general development; the book only describes the types and nothing more.
Lindsey3362
It was necessary to finish reading. Item 9 in this article puts everything in its place.
Caitlin3279
I even read further than point 9 (Collect the wasp with a siphon from the bottom of the aquarium. Add the substrate. Complete the decoration (except for laying live rocks). As you add concentrated solution and/or fresh water to the aquarium as needed, bring the level to normal and the density to 1.022-1.024 g/l).
From this, it follows that the density decreases? It is necessary to add a more concentrated solution; no, it's not that simple in this article.
They write to add fresh water; why not distilled water for more accurate results? It turns out that at the final stage of adding 1/4 part, the density is adjusted.
Rebecca1419
I agree, they overcomplicated things a bit while getting to the desired 1'022-1'024. I honestly don't know why they are going this route. Just make it simpler, prepare the necessary amount of solution at 33-34g/L and pour it into the aquarium. And everything will be fine.
Kimberly2102
I will probably do that, or maybe I'll just salt it directly in the aquarium.
Earl
This article by Telegin was written 12 years ago; having osmosis at that time was a great luxury for us, so we used water straight from the tap, while those who were suspicious of the quality of tap water tried to purify it using various makeshift methods.
Susan9583
While the issue with the stand is being resolved, I temporarily placed the aquarium on a Singer sewing machine stand. I filled it to full capacity, turned on the pump, which, by the way, works very quietly, and let it run for a day. I think during this time the water will absorb most of the impurities, and tomorrow I will drain it and refill it with the main water before I leave for Odessa for three days. After I return, I will add salt.
Chad4168
If you're in ODESA, feel free to drop by! Just call in advance.
Emily3506
Odessa, thank you for the invitation. My schedule will be very tight, with a seminar, lectures, and work on the textbook. Also, reading in the evening, and in the morning, working on mistakes, but I noted your phone number.
Ricky9405
So we are colleagues!
Meghan
Odessa, in what area!
James1625
What kind of seminar is it? What kind of lectures? What subject? What textbook? Huh?
Nicholas2252
Seminar - preparing diving instructors. Textbook for the PSA course - Advanced Nitrox & Decompression.
Tina
What's the point? How will you move a full aquarium of water to the new stand later? You'll have to drain everything again.
Robert
Yes, we are strong men. I'll salt half of it (50 liters) and move it, or maybe I'll just leave it as it is; the cabinet is great and made of wood. The only thing is that it's not designed for hidden wiring, and my relatives won't let me cut it, it's a rarity.
Leonard
I wouldn't take the risk, it might burst.
Christina9947
It won't break, I previously installed it on a 12mm bakelite plywood sheet, so two of us can easily move it from one cabinet to another by holding the sheet, about 35 kg per person, it's like kids going to school.
Courtney4094
I added new water, it turned out to be 115 liters under the comb, for now, let it be like this, then I need to drain about 10 liters (for sand, salt). I turned on the pump and the heater. Let it sit.
Jennifer5784
Where is the water from? Is it osmotic?
Joseph
No, I bought the purified one and just poured it in.
... It's about to start.
Curtis
Today I received a TDS meter, a refractometer, and a VP 101B pump with a capacity of 3000 l/h. I measured everything I could with the TDS meter. Tap water - 740, freshwater aquarium - 525, the water I poured for the sea - 510 (yes, that's quite a lot, though).
Amy1672
I told you that the water you bought is not suitable for the sea, you need water after osmosis or distilled water. How did you get home? It was nice to meet you in person! ODESSA-DONETSK-FRIENDSHIP!
Brandy1134
I arrived fine, by train. I got here this morning.
So, should I pour it out? Or should I try it like this?
James8887
I would have brined and salted in suitable water, but instead, you are just salting in tap water. You only have 100 liters; ask the Donetsk sailors, maybe someone will do a swap in their sea and will give you at least 50 liters of live water from their aquarium, that would be more reliable. I hope you haven't poured the salt yet?
Rodney7316
no, not yet.
Melissa2062
Well, I've made the arrangements, tomorrow I'll get the ready water - 60 liters. We measured it - 1.023, the rest I'll mix myself.
Phillip9722
I wanted to clarify one more point. In the first compartment, there will be a sponge, in the second a foam, in the third compartment I plan to use coarse coral gravel, Purigen, Rix, and ceramic media, and in the fourth a pump and a temperature controller. Can you advise where it would be better to place the carbon, and will Eheim's carbon be suitable?
Kevin3114
Why do you need coal and Purigen right now?
Brandon4517
This is for the future.
Guy
Instead of a washcloth, it's better to use a bag and not use a washcloth at all. If you do use it, it's better to rinse it every day. But really, why have a sump in 100 liters? In my opinion, it's easier and more correct to do 30% water changes weekly, but that's just my view; you can decide for yourselves!
Kathy
Well, if it's already provided for in the design, why not. I cut the sponge based on the experience of those who have been there.
Tricia7885
What do you mean by "the more correct it is"? Can you explain?
James4342
I'm not imposing my opinion on you, just sharing my experience of how my aquasystem has been working for 9 months, and whether to use it or not is your choice! I drain 30% of the water, the corals don't sit all the way to the top, and at the very top, there are ricordeas growing that aren't afraid of this. Another argument is that you don't have to drain 30% at once; for example, you could drain 10% or whatever level the corals stop sitting at.
Caitlin3279
And also a "side" question. When you siphon, do you need to remove the detritus?
Laura3615
So I understood correctly. The pen should not work constantly?
Courtney
read in full. The pen is working non-stop.
Patrick4439
I understand, at first it didn't register, the day was a bit heavy, I'm just now getting into it.
Beth3383
Personally, I don't have much detritus, but if there's a lot, you can just direct the current properly to blow it away, and then it's up to the sponge or filter.
Elizabeth1221
The heater is installed incorrectly; it should be placed inside the 4 compartments—just take it out and put it inside. :-)
Lynn4242
I am aware that this is temporary, to heat up the entire volume faster. I tried it first in the compartment - slowly. Now it's at -25C.
Brent7831
The sand has settled. The water is still murky. J.K. (live rocks) is supposed to arrive this week. I measured KH-12, but there are some issues with Ca - 540, either I made a mistake with the drops, or how could it be that high?
Randall7906
So. The cloudiness has settled, leaving a fine suspension of sand; a pump with a capacity of 3000 l/h might be too much, right at the bottom of the dunes, but that's how it is in reality, especially in the ocean. I did water tests. pH-7.6, Ca-560, density at the same level of 1.023, Kh-15! It's interesting to know what caused such results, the addition of live aragonite sand?
Today I will pick up the rocks; let's see what kind of premium live rocks there are!
Mark9853
Damn, I couldn't pick it up, the cargo didn't fit in the luxury car. So instead of the premium residential complex (living stones), I'll get the SMRK.
Ashley5975
What is the salt and the test for Ca?
Helen
What, the trains don't run anymore? And it's still better to remove the cobblestones...
Joshua9847
Red Sea Coral Pro salt, JBL tests.
Sherri1320
They are going, and the supplier suggested either Autolux or Nova Poshta.
Danielle8118
Reviews are great! I want to try working with this salt. They say it is made from essential chemical elements of the Red Sea.
Jennifer7159
If you stay in the car luxury, then it's the end for the stones. We already went through this last year. We arrived on time, and it was still a bit frosty. If the temperature is below +10, it's better not to receive the car from the carriers.
Danny
For now, I can say that it dissolves quickly, there are practically no undissolved particles; the photo above shows what remained undissolved.
Stephanie4990
In Red Sea salt, the calcium is elevated; if there are no hard corals, it makes no sense to use it. This topic has been discussed before. This salt is good for water changes.
Angel2396
Tomorrow they will come, we'll see. As for the boulders, the same S.R.K. (dry reef stones) from the Black Sea would work, I can dig up a lot from the seabed. As for the live ones, they probably only survive in the summer; they would freeze in winter, although if we get there quickly, it should be fine.
Justin
They write Ca-450 ppm.
Joseph9057
What’s in those stones from the Black Sea? Who knows. You don’t have such a large volume to stuff in unclear stones. Get J.K. (living stones), that should be enough. Well, a lot is written on fences, but in practice, I had readings over 500. An optimal option for substitutions.
Michelle
See post #82. At a density of 1.025 - 480, while many keep it at 26-27, there you have 500... With an optimum of 420.
Jason
Well, they also mention a pH of 8.2-8.4, yes, it was like that at the start, now it's 7.6-7.8.
Jennifer9100
Is the pen working? And buy a little bit of tetramethylammonium salt, take my advice.
Anthony7814
Yes, but the foam is white, there's nothing to knock out. Tetrovskiy as a substitute?
Daniel
Just a piece of advice to a fellow countryman: Salt it, put in the stones, turn on the equipment. Turn on the light for about 4-6 hours. And for a month, don't measure anything, don't touch it, don't change the water... Just salt for replacement. Then change the water and you will do the replacements with different salts in turn.
Mario
I was actually planning to do that.
Clean the windows?
Nicholas5194
It is optional...
Kristen1161
For substitutions, I took...........
Shane
What could be there? Ebola virus? Let them be as the base of the reef, although you can also buy S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) for 6 USD, which are lighter and more porous, providing more surface area for bacteria to settle.
Brandon9634
I installed these stones precisely because there are so many passages inside, as if worms had eaten through them. By the way, I brought them up from a depth of 30 meters because I liked them so much. Then they were sunbathing all summer, so there’s definitely nothing inside.
Anne
In my fight, the penny started to stink after two months. Although there were already clowns and a tangerine. I put the dog down - brown foam came out.
Melissa3820
From the regular red sea salt, which is not pro coral, I usually have calcium levels of 460-480, and theoretically, it is more suitable for soft corals and starting up. However, the parameters and composition are not indicated on the bucket.
Interestingly, the rocks from the southern Don region near Azov look similar; I only placed them in freshwater.
With products like Purigen and Chemi-Pure, it's better to be cautious. Recently, I used Chemi-Pure for the entire system, and some mushrooms started to detach. I removed it, and they stopped. I also tried Matrix; it didn't help me, but at least it's harmless.
Erin2730
I am familiar with these medications and cannot say anything bad about them. However, now that everything has settled in the 740-liter aquarium with the tang, I have forgotten all about any chemicals.
Michael826
Today, I received J.K. (live rocks). After inspection, it was placed in the aquarium, and literally 2-3 minutes later, two creatures about 5 cm long and 1.5 mm in diameter, beige in color, emerged and started wriggling, then disappeared again. I am very pleased with the rock; maybe I didn't arrange it compositionally quite right - we will experiment. A special thanks to the company; the main issue regarding the delivery of the rock was resolved, everything was prompt and clear. It's a pleasure to work with you. Well, that's it for now...
Bridget
The composition looks amazing. Are there photos on the right and left?
P.S. Try posting the photos on the forum instead of on Radikal.
Jeremy
I will try to upload it in the office, first I will reduce the files... I will do the sides a little later.
Jenny
Yes, their current supply of "fresh" is excellent. It's a pity it's already cold, and the fish hasn't arrived. Well, I didn't actually order it anyway.
Stacy6866
Who "ordered" it! It's SpongeBob!
View from around the corner
Kristin
Now, in the cold, we are starting to send by train! We will charge for delivery and will pay for it!
Kyle
I have a similar stone structure (also a skiy). It's hard to arrange something, the surfaces are arch-like. The hedgehog constantly rolls around. I need to buy glue and stick the corals...
John3335
Placed it perfectly! Just don't rush to add the corals, take a closer look, there's a lot of great ways to color everything.
Tammy
The stones have become intertwined, and there are seven of them. I'm afraid that if I move them, they might break, so I definitely won't glue them for now.
They were probably overfed, which is why they don't fit in terms of dimensions.
Kevin8087
It's still too early to add anything; the aquarium is on its fifth day. Let it mature for about two weeks, or even a month.
Adrienne
No, he is a snake; he climbed to the very top platform and pushed Euphilia into the abyss.
Debbie3587
It seems you always did it this way... convenient and efficient.
Lisa
In the conductor's compartment, it's even very warm; I think everything that is good will make it, the main thing is not to overheat.
Troy8808
to avoid inspections - so that they don't hide it in the vestibule
Joseph591
They are hiding in the neighboring carriage just in case (today's example), picked up not where it was indicated, but in the compartment.
Jeremy8404
PH 7.8-8.5 is acceptable
8.1-8.3 is better
it makes sense, buy some
Adam4310
How to achieve this? Baking soda? Chemistry?
Robin
This is bacterial plaque. It is developing. It is better to buy a pH meter. But with a 2-day-old aquarium, this is not yet a reason for any actions regarding the addition of chemicals.
What is the salinity?
Amy5468
I don't plan to add anything for now, the aquarium has been running for a week, this rock has been in for 2 days, and the salinity is 1.024. The thing is, the pH in the water I used to start the aquarium (I left about ten liters) remained at 8.2-8.4, but it has dropped in the aquarium. I think that over time, with water changes, everything will return to normal.
Kenneth2761
In my aquarium, the pH has also dropped this month. The kH seems to be normal. Do I need to artificially raise the pH somehow?
P.S. Sorry for posting in your thread - no one is responding in mine.
Andrew4194
Here, brothers, read this. It's quite informative about pH, so go ahead.
Julie3950
Thank you, informative article.
Michael
Hello everyone. Today, when I turned on the night light to try it out, some creature jumped out of the stone. It has a long, spindle-shaped body about 2 cm long, a tail like a tadpole, and it resembles one, but its color is pinkish with iridescence. Its head is like a match head, and it darts around the aquarium at the speed of a meteor. There is no way to film it.
Ryan2281
Moved in, more details later, -
Stenopus hispidus, Shrimp Boxing - 1 pc
Trochus sp, Eating algae shell - 2 pcs
Chrysiptera pama, Azure Damsel - 1 pc
Vanessa
Isn't it too early?
Cheryl
I don't think so, it's been two weeks since the start, the water was charged, and the sand too. The newcomers are currently doing fine. The trochus snails are actively exploring the rock and the walls of the aquarium. The boxer shrimp has found a spot for itself, and the fish have started to come out of hiding. And all the little creatures are tiny, my frogfish could fit them in its mouth. Well, what other way is there? If we wait for the balance to restore, it won't recover without inhabitants.
Anthony7814
probably Palolo, look here at your "monster"
if he...........that's bad
Erin
It's hard to say, as I was looking at it without light and it was moving very quickly.
Jessica6754
As of today, it looks like this.
Parameters
salinity - 1.024
pH - 7.8-8.0
KH - 11
NO2 - <0.2
Question for the experts, can the UF sterilizer be turned on at this stage?
William
You chose a boxer, so now (as far as I understand) you won't be able to put the wonderkids in - the boxer will box. How will you deal with the IPs?
Amy5468
These shrimp certainly do a good job of thinning out the aiptasia, but now that a boxer has shown up, we need to think of something.
Lindsey3362
My iptazia somehow destroyed itself, even though I saw it chasing Artemia and croutons...
Katie3017
Maybe the time has come. Or maybe something was missing. Specifically, aptasia.
I will try to puncture the aptasia with boiling water. Or there is this friend - the mollusk Berghia verrucicornis.
Brent7831
You can't kill them all, they are so small.
Gregory
Here, people are writing about him: I was thinking about something like that myself.
Jennifer5371
People are fighting against aiptasia; I've seen discussions on this topic. There are supporters of boiling water, some who have tried citric acid, others who have planted peppermint, and some whose wonder shells have eaten everything, but all of this seems to be half-measures, as later the discussions about fighting it faded away, or they either defeated it (aiptasia) or resigned themselves to its existence.
Christopher3770
I'm not sure about "half measures." After I added the shrimp (probably a week later), the aiptasia disappeared. It's been 2 months now, and there's no sign of aiptasia. Maybe now that the shrimp has died, it will come back, but everything was fine with it.
Joyce
So, it would be good to observe.
Marie5348
Yes, I'm looking, but I'm not buying a new one.
Meghan
great video - just like professional cinematography, the music is melodic
Joseph8842
depending on what to move. There are only wunderwaffen in Airif (I saw them today). But that's on the other side of the city (from Leningradka). Near Leningradka, there is the Aquarium Center and GRS05 (a hundred meters apart), but then you definitely won't make it to Airif). What do you want to buy anyway? Isn't it too early, just two weeks after the launch?
Joseph
Well, when I'm there, it will be possible to plant some starter livestock, about 24 days will pass after the launch, and some "chemistry" is needed, just little things.
My Chrysiptera pama, Azure Damsel,
Susan9583
Well, decide what you want, get in touch with the sellers and figure out where to go. Buying everything at once and in one place, and at reasonable prices - that's unrealistic.
Jason9385
I have been successfully battling with boiling water for many years. As long as there are no pests in the rocks, you can eliminate almost all of them. Just don't poke them. I do it like this: I boil osmotic water, take a 10 ml syringe, fill it with boiling water, and insert it into the aiptasia, quickly rinsing it with boiling water, repeating this 2-3 times. Usually, after this procedure, it doesn't come out anymore.
Phyllis
I remembered that almost everything is closed on Saturdays. In TsA, there are some staff members on Saturdays, but it’s pointless; they just moo in response and that’s it (I tried to buy sarc from them this Saturday) - I couldn’t. Airif is also sometimes open on Saturdays, but you need to call. - closed. GRS05 and Popsuy are the most reliable on Saturdays.
Wendy2244
I regularly arrange with Airif on Saturdays - they are very responsive fellows. Yes, and it's easy to agree with Ym for Saturday as well.
Larry
Thank you all, I will negotiate...
Anthony4281
Can you tell me what this is?
Reginald5073
fan worm
Heather2018
Vonana, what about me, due to my inexperience, I boiled them, and they still come out. Interesting...
Nancy
Well, why do you treat them like that? They are good filters and beautiful animals.
Brandi
Well, I'm serving based on the first package. If we're being serious, is there also something on the leg? Are those worms too?
Laurie3842
here's some help for you
Anthony7814
I haven't seen any like that. I watched this topic.
James5032
Well, I have both fan and uptight ones. They can be quite distinguished.
Katie3017
They will probably appear too; there are no miracles.
Kristen1161
The third day, the sand has turned from white to brown, trochus are grazing on it with pleasure, and in some places it has started to pale. This is mainly observed in areas that are well-lit.
Steven7574
Is something growing on the walls? My sand has hardly changed color, but the glass...
Cynthia
The back wall was polished by two trochus in a day from the white coating, and the glass has been pristine clean from the very beginning. I also noticed that during the night the trochus and sand cleaned up. The sand I took was conditionally alive, which might be why it darkened; processes have started.
Brooke
Did they add light?
Susan9583
I haven't added it yet; I'm still thinking about what I will have and whether I need it.
Adam
From the very beginning, everyone has pristine clean. There is still no organic matter in the water. In a couple of weeks .......
Justin
so that's it
Charles4157
try it, maybe it's not needed.
Christina9947
I added a bit of liveliness.
These brown-dark amorphous spots are dead, didn't make it?
And these arrived from the Red Sea today, if you don't mind helping to identify them, -
I forgot what they're called while traveling, -
Sherri1320
Nice! If anything else comes from the RED SEA, let me know, maybe something will make it to Odesa too.
Phyllis
Odessa, definitely, but these are just mollusks. By the way, what is the one in the photo above called? I haven't found out its name yet. They also brought another one that looks like a trochus, also conical but with a reddish color and streaks, about the size of a large walnut.
Cheryl9296
I understood that you would just pass by, I'm returning to our ... mushrooms. The question is, what are these amorphous bodies? When I took them out of the bag, they had a strong smell! In the picture, there are dark slugs...
Dana4701
I think that in this photo, there are J.K. (live rocks) with a sponge, and possibly green mushrooms, maybe striatums. The sponge is good, but under favorable conditions, as it grows, it displaces all invertebrates. By placing this stone in bright light, you will slow down its growth, and over time, it will move to darker places on its own.
Kevin8087
Understood, moved to a less intense lighting with a moderate flow.
Eric5208
In this case, the sponge will prevail, not the mushrooms. It simply spreads in shaded areas, while the mushrooms, on the contrary, will lack light, and at best, they will grow on stems or move to more illuminated places. So, it's up to you to decide what is more important for you: the sponge or the mushrooms. As for me, I would keep the sponge under control, not allowing it to spread, while letting the mushrooms inhabit the entire rock.
Laurie3842
Hello, fellow countryman!
I don't know the condition of your aquarium, but I want to gift you a bush of Xenia for a beginner sailor. If you're interested, send me your contact details.
Adam4310
Hi, the aquarium is maturing, there are already some living creatures, I won't refuse Ksenia, I'll send the coordinates in a private message. Today at the radio market, I bought white and blue LEDs - I'll add a bit more light. I must say we have a problem with the blue ones, I barely managed to scrape together 3 pieces at 50.
David2398
The meter of tape costs this much... although, maybe you have Cree diodes?
Crystal
They are on the radiators, edsb-3la1-1, white at 170lm each.
Jennifer5784
Where will you fit them? You need to dissipate heat from them.
Kristen2246
It's not that warm there, the coolers will manage. And there won't be many of them, it's just an addition to the main setup. They will be placed on an aluminum rail under glass.
David3217
24 days in the aquarium. I added some soft corals, maybe I placed something incorrectly, feel free to give advice, it's a young setup, and everything can still be fixed.
Sheila
Igor, I watched your video. My advice (just my opinion): The euphyllia at the top is being disturbed; move it to a slightly calmer spot, and it will open up better. Your rodactis look fine, but I noticed that one of the rodactis is attached to a small rock and is swaying in the current; secure it in a crevice. Other than that, there's no need to worry about the rest for now. Best regards.
Laurie3842
I will move the euphyllia, I placed it closer to the sun as I was told, and as for the rodactis, I caught a stone somewhere and will secure it, there are plenty of gaps there.
Sarah5423
I personally noticed in my aquarium that my Euphyllias, of which there are 4 species, prefer the sand, while the Rhodactis like flatter surfaces slightly below the middle of the tank, closer to the corners (in such places they quickly form large colonies).
Barbara8192
Do you need to specially feed it somehow?
Randall7906
It is advisable to feed them, but don't worry, the load on your aquarium will be minimal; this is not Tubostrea. Feeding once a week is sufficient. Artemia and cyclops can be given with the flow turned off for 15 minutes. However, if you don't feed them intentionally, they still do well, grow, but division occurs twice as slowly, and the size of the coral will be smaller compared to those that are fed (I have maximum rodactis with a circumference of up to 16-17 cm).
Daniel132
I think it's possible with phytoplankton too?
Karen1649
They seem to respect zooplankton more.
Michael5242
I read in literature that they feed on the products of photosynthesis from zooxanthellae algae and do not require much additional feeding, although a little extra once a week might be beneficial for faster division.
Timothy
This is for photosynthetic organisms. Tubastrea, for example, does not belong to them.
Sherri1320
I don't have it.
Brandy1134
There will be a very beautiful coral.
Jerry
Yes, I saw it, but for now, I think it will be limited to what is available, so as not to overload the system.
Kimberly
And that's right!
Tricia7885
I received such a gift from a fellow countryman, thank you very much, everything is already in place and I think it's adapting well.
Rodaktis has been moved to the sand, and this is how it turned out.
Susan1358
The topic smoothly transitions but does not close, as questions remain, and it may help someone.
Charles4157
I have one like that too, but it prefers the shade, located on the edge of the stone. The water is a bit murky; I rearranged the stones, and I think I did it for the last time.
Gregory
It's unlikely, there is no limit to perfection. Now I have another problem, I found aiptasia on the rock with zoanthids, damn they're so fat, suppliers, be vigilant. Fortunately, the rock is small, I can take it out and clean it.
Michael
But who guarantees that there won't be any aiptasia? Even when buying livestock, on small stones, you still introduce aiptasia...
Rachael
everyone thinks so
