Aquarium 400. Soft corals and a bit of LPS. Water change: once a week 10%. Salt. I am concerned about the pH level of 7.8 and kH of 4. I want to increase the hardness. Using Balling makes no sense since calcium is above 460. I am leaning towards using a kH buffer - specifically SODA. We make a soda solution of 80 grams per 1 liter of water. QUESTION: How many ml of the solution should be added daily to maintain kH within 6-8 units? Or should I follow the "add, test" scheme? The only problem is that I see the aquarium once a week.

Off-topic. Check the tests or devices for determining pH and KH. The same problems occurred. With normal calcium, KH and pH were low. I replaced the tests, properly calibrated the device, and everything turned out to be normal and within range. P.S. I didn't receive any help or advice here.

Correctly, before pouring anything, check the tests. The daily dose for this situation, I think, will be around 50-60 ml. Start with that and after a week, repeat the tests.

Buy regular salt.
