Good afternoon! I have been using Red Sea Coral Pro salt, and I'm running out. I'm curious to know what salt others are using. I'm considering changing the salt; is it worth it, and does anyone have any recommendations?

What’s wrong with Red Sea?

Is it still available for sale? I haven't come across it in a while.

I think it's not hard to search the forum, especially since there are many similar topics. Here's an example.

Salt should not be stored in a polyethylene bag; after opening the factory package, it should be transferred to an airtight container or a bucket with a lid. It is also a good idea to add silica gel packets (the ones included with shoes), as they help preserve the salt very well. The white insoluble substance is most likely gypsum, which formed as a result of a reaction with calcium. In my opinion, the brand of salt does not affect this reaction; only moisture and the presence of chemical elements do.

I apologize in advance for the silly question, but where can I get this wonderful bucket with a lid? As I understand it, it should only be food-grade?

We have similar ones sold in the hardware store in the plastic products section for kitchens and bathrooms. There are transparent ones used for packaging preserves and pickles.
