After replacing the water, red algae appear immediately. I got the RedSea salt from AiRife (no complaints about them). The replacement process involves dissolving it in a 60-liter RO tank, then draining 60 liters from the aquarium and refilling from the tank. The algae come in a couple of days and disappear after a month. The question is primarily for AiRife - what am I doing wrong? This is not criticism, it's a request!

Interesting story... What kind of RedSea salt is it? What color is the packaging? A question purely to avoid stepping on rakes. I once had my eye on this salt.

There was a similar situation. Check the water at the output of the osmosis. I had a reason for this.

I also had a problem with bad water after osmosis. I didn't change the filters in time. How can I get rid of this red stuff now? I also suspect that the lamps have burned out - what can anyone suggest? After the water change, it grows back again. Should I reduce the light period and add anti-phosphate plus carbon?

I have an osmosis system in my office, so I decided that it was not a big deal that it didn't have ion exchange columns - I replaced them... and it worked. I cleaned it mechanically once - it didn't help. I just waited - the system managed to cope. Now I only replace them after the ion exchange columns, I bring them from home =)
